I came in Thursday night after work looking to get a quote to replace the stock radio in my 2011 Toyota Camry and Arthur recommended an Alpine unit that came with CarPlay. He said he would get the unit early next week and I said we could set up an appointment the following Saturday. He told me to hold onto one second while he made a call and he was able to get the unit expedited to him and that we would be able to do the install today. I was in shock, but was elated at the same time. I stopped by at 9am to drop off my car to get worked on and was called to come pick it up a few hours later. I met Arthur a few months ago when I needed to get a new stereo installed in a car I bought. I had certain things I wanted and he helped me find the radio that was right for me. I came to him in a hurry due to a road trip and he was able to fit me in really quickly after the another place I originally went to told me it would be a week before they could install it. I started to have some issues with my radio and he told me to drop by the shop and he would try to fix it. Whatever he did worked for a little while, and he said if I had any other problems he would replace it for me. I went back this week and he kept his word and replaced the unit free of charge. Over the years my family and I have taken him 4 BMWs, 2 Mercedes, 2 Toyota Tundras, a Honda, and a now a Hyundai and I have been blown by not only the quality of work he does but also by his attention to detail. Audio Crafters has stellar reviews already, and I can personally say this shop is well deserving of them. I went to Audio Crafters a few times now, and each time I left satisfied knowing that I got a good car audio product and the installation was performed right. The shop owner, Arthur, particularly warrants mention because I believe he is a man of integrity and makes the effort to meet or exceed customers' expectations. Case in point: I wanted to add Apple CarPlay functionality go my aging factory sound system so I called Audio Crafters. I spoke with Arthur and he recommended Grom VLine VL2. Everything was great at first but shortly after, my car's battery began draining rapidly and I could not even leave the vehicle parked for just a few days without the battery completely draining and failing to start. I contacted Arthur and asked if he might be able to take a look, and he fit me in his busy schedule and, the very next day, spent close to 3 hours diagnosing my car and getting in touch with Grom Audio to identify the issue. It turns out, the VL2 unit was staying on after the car has been turned off and needed a firmware update to resolve the matter. Now everything works perfectly and I am thrilled! I was blown away that he would take the time to help me out in the manner that he did. And he refused my offer to pay him for his time. I suppose one would expect him to do something to make it right since his shop sold me the product. But many businesses nowadays would provide excuses and try to weasel out of taking any responsibility. Plus, it was several months since the install so he could just as easily have told me I'm past my return period or whatever. Arthur's commitment to his customers' satisfaction is, sadly, not common among businesses these days. The job was clean and quick and my car came back to me looking just as I left it but now with a working sub woofer. I just have a double din install, but my brother and I tried to install it our selves and made the problem worse because we cut some wires and that is installers nightmare! After calling around a few places and realizing the price that Arthur the owner here was offering was a lot cheaper than all other places - and it INCLUDED installation - I had to come by and check it out. I came by on a Friday night on my way home and Arthur seemed pretty nice and decided I'd come by Saturday morning to get the part installed (I was adding an auxiliary input to my car). Not only did he make sure everything was working, he also rerouted my mic for my blue-tooth parrot kit that I didn't charge me anything for it. I've been to a few other random car audio/alarm places before, and I've never felt comfortable in any of those, but that's not the case here. He also offered me a great price on a new NAV/BT/DVD head unit, which was waaaay cheaper than other places (I did a quick search after talking to him) - I may take him up on that - if I decide to keep my car. read more

You walk into an average looking restaurant. It doesn't look fancy or exclusive. You sit with your sig other and are offered the menu. It has only five meat entrees -- each over $85. Ouch. Confused, you ask the waiter, "Is this all there is? Do you have anything... you know... a little less expensive? Like some sort of chicken or pasta or anything like that?" The waiter frowns, rolls his eyes, and says, "Well, if you insist, yes, but that's all off menu." That would feel very off-putting, right? It's not that a restaurant can't offer pricey items, but why would a place not so elegant looking insist on elegant cuisine. This was the exact experience I had walking into Audio Crafters. I was shown a small wall of speakers with fancy European names and was told, "Alpine is our entry level, okay?" And Alpine didn't appear to be in stock. So I couldn't even hear it. And then I was quoted a $1000 install price for a situation that $500 would have nailed. Wasn't impressed with the 'give me your credit card' attitude. Won't be back. read more
