Apple Car Play in a 33 year old car...just wow!
Christine G.

I've been looking to replace my stereo in my 92 VW Cabriolet. After seeing all of the 5 star reviews, I came in. I really wanted something with Car Play but didn't think it was possible in an older car. Not only was Arthur able to find a solution for me, he was communicative and reliable...as well as fair in his pricing. He was able to install exactly what I wanted. I was beyond excited for what Arthur was able to do and am so happy with my new stereo! Thanks Arthur!!

Dash cam wiring

Update almost one year later: dash cam wiring still looks good and I brought my girlfriends car in for hers to get permanently wired up as well. Came out great!

A friend recommended this spot, and I'm glad he did. Arthur installed a new Alpine radio for me that I bought somewhere else, along with 4 new Alpine speakers that I bought from him. Super legit guy who knows what he's talking about. Quality work and fair pricing. He LIVES this stuff and has a ton of experience. I won't be taking our vehicles to anyone else. Thank you. Audio Crafters!

Arthur did a great job installing a CarPlay Nav system in my gen 1 Porsche Cayenne. He also installed a back up camera in one of my license plate light slots, looks stock, people can't believe it. Made a world of difference and updated the car tremendously. He's a pro and can handle any job you throw at him.

Fast service.

My front speaker started making ugly noises one day after work, so I drove straight to audio crafters (4:30pm). I told them what was going on and within less then fifteen minutes they had my door panels open getting straight to work. Very friendly, service with a smile. I know I got lucky with arriving to an empty service bay, but you can't get much better than this.

Update- 02/12/21..Today was my second time here and everything went great just as the first time I had my speakers installed. Today I had a head unit along with an amp and sirus xm radio installed. The job came out perfect, would definitely recommend because of the great customer service, quality of work and prices. I wanted the job done right and Audio Crafters was the place to go.

High five for HiFi Kitchen!…read more Located a block away from the Historic Filipinotown arch, this cozy spot is worth a stop. I finally had the chance to visit this brick-and-mortar after experiencing their food on two occasions. Once was at a catered event at SIPA, and another was at a pop-up at FPAC. During that catered event at SIPA, I had the Vegetarian HiFi Sisig which has tofu, eggplant, & shiitake, onions, peppers, and vegan mayo. I was obsessed with how good this was and was hoping there would be leftover for baon. But I also didn't want to be greedy...lol! Then at FPAC, they offered Veggie Sisig Tacos. Similar ingredients, except in a corn tortilla. Again, obsessed! https://yelp.to/b419aFUgE- Craving that yummy sisig, I walked into HiFI Kitchen's brick-and-mortar, eager to partake once again. Sadly, they were out of tofu. But the gal behind the counter was willing to modify by going extra on the veggies for my Vegetarian HiFi Sisig bowl. At first glance the portion size didn't quite meet my expectation of what I would consider a $17 veggie bowl that lacked tofu and nixed the egg, but it was surprisingly filling! And maraming masarap! https://yelp.to/tW6yKt2uDg Also masarap is the Pandan Horchata Latte. Yum! https://yelp.to/prcFhvC2jO Staff is very helpful. The decor embraces the hifi theme (high fidelity in this case) of old media such as using an audio tape case to store napkins and utensils, or having a VHS tape rewinder mounted on the wall. There's a single table indoors, bar-height counter for extra dining, and a few more tables out front. When I arrived, there was a family of 3 in there. By the time I sat down, three parties of 2 formed a line at the register. Popular spot! Street parking was fairly easy at 1pm on a Saturday. Would easily make a stop here anytime I'm in HiFi. Happy to support a small Filipino business :)

This review is far overdue. To cut to the chase, Ian (the owner), Jesus, and Brian are exceptional…read more A special shout out goes to Brian for spending so much time with me until we had the right system picked out. I was recently gifted a record player which had me scrambling for some new gear. It had been a very long time since I had taken a stroll down HiFi audio lane. I popped into Audio Element mainly to see what brands they carried. I initially felt a bit timid since I could tell that they carried some really high end stuff. I instantly felt like this shop was out of my league. However, Brian warmly greeted me and quickly made me feel at home with his exceptional hospitality. As he showed me around the shop and answered some of my questions, Jesus was also very helpful in contributing wherever he could. Brian demo'ed various setups for me based on the sound signature I was going for as well as on the description I had provided of my listening area. The specially curated setups he showed me sounded phenomenal. He was also extremely knowledgeable. Knowing that I was about to drop some serious dough, and also knowing how much of a methodical person I am, I thanked both of them and told them that I was going to go home to make some decisions and that they would likely see me again. When I did eventually return to the shop, I was happy to see Brian again. Having done some research at home, I went in convinced knowing what I wanted. I had made some personal tweaks to some of the equipment I had really enjoyed on my previous visit. These tweaks were mainly upgrades of the same model line of equipment. As we got to talking, Brian made me aware of some new speakers they had recently received that he thought I might like. He offered to hook them up for me and if I didn't like them, no harm no foul and I could stick with the original setup I had chosen. OH MAN! I immediately fell in love with the new speakers and integrated amp combo he setup for me. I knew I needed this to come home with me. I got a killer deal and I could not be happier. Ian (the owner) happened to be at the store that night and he made sure that everything went smooth. One thing I'll never forget is how Brian made me feel when I realized that I had accidentally kept the staff after hours; not realizing that the store had already closed. While I felt bad, I couldn't help but notice that in the excitement of helping me pick out my system, it seemed like the staff had also lost track of time just as I had lol! I apologized to Brian and he quickly told me not to worry about that and reassured me that they were there to make sure that I was truly happy with my new setup. At the end of it all, the entire staff even helped lug all the equipment to my car. Fast forward several months later, and this has become a new hobby of mine. I love my setup so much that I listen to records every night before bed. When I'm not listening to records, I'm streaming on the bluesound node icon. Ian, Jesus, and especially Brian, you guys are a very special bunch. Thanks again and I hope to see you in the not so distant future.

I recently went to a friend's house for a hi-fi listening session, and when I came home and turned on my own system, I realized something had to change. After a deep dive of research, I landed on the Wharfedale Lintons, and Audio Element was the only place where I could actually hear them in person. Brian was incredibly helpful and patient as my wife and I worked through some favorite tracks to make sure they were the right fit. Needless to say, we walked out with the Lintons. Once we got them home, it quickly became clear our amp wasn't up to the task. More research led us to the perfect pairing: a Rega. Jesus happened to have exactly what we needed and was kind enough to hold it while we rushed down to grab it. The result? Spine-tingling, goosebump-inducing fun listening to music again. Our system finally feels alive. The service here is top-notch. They genuinely listen, guide you without pressure, and clearly care about helping you find the right setup. Safe to say, Audio Element is now my go-to for all things hi-fi.

First, the speakers. They are awesome; like no other, with an amazing soundstage. I just marvel at the stage where the music I enjoy is coming from the center filling the "stage" on each side (Yello anyone?). I have had new listeners compliment me on how great my center channel is (Legacy Marquis XD), and after they have listened for awhile and complimented me again on the great center side, I love telling them that it is not playing- that is the amazing sound stage of the Focus SEs. You have to listen to the Focus towers (mine are the SEs) to get it. If you decide you love them, then make sure James sets them up for the maximum sound stage benefit. And also be sure and get the optional additional feet as they made a big difference- and the cost was so small I forgot how much. Plus, I almost forgot the CODA electronics which are amazing and well worth it- and substantially less than many "names" you see in the high end stereo mags. Then I want to say just how helpful James is with follow-up questions after the initial installation, which he did. I have reached out to him three times, twice due to Cox Cable gear that was performing poorly and he gave me an approach to improve it. Then when I had to move my gear for repositioning, I forgot to measure the locations, separation, and angle. He knew immediately and guided me through it as I wanted to restore what he did. Want to dazzle your friends? After you get a pair of Legacy tower speakers, model will not matter and only get better up the price curve, don't tell them that your center is off. Great fun to see the expression on their faces. Then sit back and just love live music.

James at Destination was a pleasure to work with. Very generous with information and his time…read more Great place to audition Legacy speakers. Altogether a great experience.

Outstanding Service and Support at Ahead Stereo…read more I purchased my McIntosh turntable from Ahead Stereo and recently ran into an issue with my stylus. I reached out to Brian, and he immediately went above and beyond--contacting McIntosh on my behalf, walking me through the options, and ultimately helping me get back up and running. What stood out most wasn't just the solution, but the care and integrity Brian showed throughout the process. He didn't treat me like just another transaction, he treated me like a valued customer. That kind of support is rare, and it's exactly why I'll keep coming back to Ahead Stereo. If you're into high-end audio and want a dealer who stands by their customers, this is the place. Highly recommend.

Today during my visit to ahead stereo I was looking for an education in creating a future home stereo system, I'm not up to date on all the options, but have a general idea of what I'm trying to achieve. These folks seemed interested in selling me a consultation for a couple hundred dollars rather than trust helping me and winning my trust, it seemed they were concerned if the helped me understand what would be a good solution I would leave the store and buy online. That was not the plan and once I figure out what I'm looking for I'll probably be back to buy local, as I'm a big supporter of that concept. My suggestion in the future is customer comes first, build the trust and loyalty will follow.
