Another shop charged me $35, told me my amp channel was burnt out, blamed a small hole in my subwoofer, and immediately tried to sell me over $420 in new equipment without even checking or resetting my settings. I came to King of Sound for a second opinion, and within less than 15 minutes they figured out the battery replacement had simply reset my audio settings. I found Audio Dreams through Yelp and decided to move forward with them since I had a positive interaction with Sam as I asked questions about the service and the pricing was more than fair. Among best of the businesses I contacted. I was able to make an appointment for the following Saturday at 10am for both my dad's car and for my car. The day before I called and asked if there was a seating area. They mentioned there are 2 chairs in the sales floor or an IHOP or Starbucks in the same plaza that their customers usually go to. That was helpful for me to plan my day. When we arrived Ferris welcomed us in. He was very nice and thorough with his explanation of the device and where they planned the placement. All sounds great. I left my number with Sam and Ferris, and my dad and went for breakfast at IHOP. I received a call from Sam in about an hour and a half that both cars were done. Wow that was so quick. We walked back over. When paying I saw that there was also a 1 year warrantee with the services. What a deal! Afterwards Randy, who I believe was the installer, showed us the devices in the car and helped us connect it to an app where we can see the front cam and back cam. The installation was very professional and tucked in strategic spots so they don't disrupt your view. It was hard wired in so I didn't need to plug it into the outlet/socket. Staff here is all so kind and helpful. They were very professional and patient with us throughout the whole experience. After much consideration, I decided it was time to replace her stereo with something that had a few more bells and whistles. I wound up putting a project out and collecting bids with the best experience coming from Planet Stereo. Gilbert offered a great price, now let's go through the actual installation. I was quoted $500 out the door for a mechless receiver and all of the aftermarket parts to install. It was quite a steal. After looking up the specific stereo, I figured this was acceptable and made the drive. Gilbert suggested the install would take about 2 hours, so I planned for a good amount of time for this. Now, it did take longer than expected. However, I was warned of that when I arrived, as they were busier than normal the day I opted to drive over. They do have a lounge area where you can sit and watch TV while you wait. I would suggest bringing something to snack on. There are some restaurants somewhat nearby, but refreshments while at the store are lacking. That said, I was comfortable enough watching a Rams game while they worked away. The result was a perfect install. They did apologize for the length of time, but I was okay with that, since I got to watch the entire game. The gentleman working the floor (forgot your name, sorry!) walked me out to check out the job and show me some of the basic functions of the new deck. They did need parts that they didn't factor into cost, and included them at no additional charge to me. And the deck, while an off name, did have some very important features like wireless Apple CarPlay - a huge win at that price point. They even have a finance option, which can amount to 90 days same as cash (with small processing fee) or longer terms if needed. Great install, and great staff. Higher end options also available if you have the budget, which I did not.

I did some research on my own and tried the basic fixes (resetting all my connections, etc) to no avail. I called a few other shops in my area and got a generic "We can take a look, but we sell other units to meet your needs." Of course I understand that they need to run a business, but it just didn't sit right with me. I decided to drop by FS Audio after work on a random Saturday- best decision I ever made. Frank took the time to listen to some of the issues I was having and was already poking and prodding at my radio before I even finished talking. He was VERY thorough in diagnosing what the issues could be and went through some possible solutions- replacing my radio was waaaaay at the bottom of his list. This was all before I even made my appointment. I appreciate that he explained everything so thoroughly. It was clear after talking to me for a good 30-40 minutes that Frank not only knows his stuff, but he's passionate about it. I cancelled the other appointment I had and decided to just wait a bit longer until I could bring my car back here. Come the day of my appointment- not only are Frank and Howie able to fix the issue with the radio, but they perform surgery on my dash kit and wind up not only leaving my radio in the perfect center position on my dash (no longer blocking the air vents), but they also left my radio sturdier than ever!! They discussed some of the things that the original installers could have done a bit better and even fixed an unrelated issue with some of my OBD components hanging- that was awesome! The fix came in well under what I was expecting to pay for repairs. The best part is that I know I paid for some QUALITY work from these guys. To say I'm pleased with their help would be the absolute understatement of the year. I've already picked Frank's brain about upgrading my dash cam as well.
