What a rip-off! I brought my car in for repair of 2 oxygen sensors. I was told that I would need…read moreto have a diagnostic check first. This would cost about $200 with tax, after which I received a laundry list of items they felt would be needed to be fixed - wipers, cabin filter, alignment, coolant change, valve cover gasket, brake fluid flush, trans service amounting to $1975. Plus, of course, $943 for the 2 sensors which I wanted to have replaced. These 2 oxygen sensors by Bosch, on-line, cost under $100 each. Wipers had been replaced not even a month ago. This casts doubt on the whole list they "suggested" needed to be fixed. Please be careful when bringing your car in here. He will try to upsell you a laundry list of what he wants to do to your car. Whether your car needs it or not is debatable.

I noted I just needed an oil change on the online intake form as well as on the drop off envelope when I brought my car in after hours. At first I was impressed with the quick scheduling (next day service) and text updates/reminders this morning during my appointment slot. I was then sent an inspection report of all their findings that needed future or immediate attention as well as everything that was in good working order (I didn't ask for this, just an oil change). I called to ask for a quote on everything they were recommending since some of the report findings were concerning, which I received quickly. I assumed the oil change I requested was complete by this point and it was just a matter of looking at all the other issues and making a decision on next steps. I asked that they include the oil change service on the quote for my visibility and they did. When I started reviewing the quote I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the oil change at the top of the estimate. How in the world does it cost $166 for an oil change?! I've NEVER paid this amount for a single service in the 12+ years I've owned this car, not even at a dealership. I drive a 2009 Toyota Yaris with less than 100K miles, not an SUV, truck, or luxury car... a Yaris. At most I've paid $75 and even that was on the high end. Once I saw the cost of the oil change and paid, I decided I will never return to Automotive Magic or recommend them to anyone. The cost of the service was outrageous. I believe there are some things listed on their report that need attention, but I'll never give any more money to this business after feeling completely ripped off. I know a few garages up the road from me that are reputable, reasonably priced, and have done great work in the past on my car, they just don't have the online convenience which I can deal with from now on if price gouging is the alternative.

I had been working this other manager for 30 years. No reason to question him. "Sign here. Sign there". On my way I went. Thankfully, Jeff is a honest guy for only just meeting him. Twice the vehicle wouldn't start. Then the back up camera only worked, intermittently. Brought the car in and they replaced the camera. A week later, same problem. Then the other cameras didn't work, followed by the key fobs. On June 1st we brought the car back in. It's now over a month and the service department still has no idea what's wrong with it. But that's truly not the worst part. The worst part of the experience is the lack of customer service being provided. The service rep, Courtney, never calls back. Then my husband escalated to the service manager, Paul. He doesn't call back either. No one can be bothered to return a phone call or provide an update. It's shameful. In one week alone my husband called 10 times and left messages and not a single call was returned. Great buying experience with Jose Matos, but based on the lack of customer service, we can't in good conscience ever buy from them again or recommend them to others. We're currently exploring our options through the Lemon Law as they have left us no choice. UPDATE!!! Less than 24 hours after posting this review, my husband got a call from Ernie Dix, service manager. They finally determined the problem, ordered the part, and received the part via FedEx. The car is fixed and back at home where it belongs! I considered removing the review now that the car is fixed, but honestly it's all about communication. If someone at the dealership had simply reached out and said the part had been ordered, I wouldn't have had to write the bad review in the first place. I have updated my review to since Ernie at least saw the review and immediately reached out to my husband. Bottom line, it's all about communication and mutual respect. I hope that there is a lesson to be learned here for their customer service team. Thank you, Ernie, for your attention to the situation.

I took my car into Kenville Automotive this morning, last minute, I needed front brakes and rotors…read more I was greeted by who I assume was the owner, George, with a quote and a promise to get it done the same day. I can't say enough good things about this experience. He was friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable. The quote was fair and the work was done quick. He also alerted me to the fact that one of my tires was dangerous to drive on, even though he was not going to be able to make a commission on that sale. He alerted me just because he's professional and was concerned for my safety. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be returning to Kenville automotive.

Couple days later driving at night noticed my left headlight did not go on. Which was strange to me because I recently replaced that whole headlight. I took it to my mechanic thinking it was a malfunction. The lightbulb was literally hanging out, which the mechanic confirmed someone messed with it. There was no reason for C & L to touch that headlight. I ended up paying to replace the bulb. I would not trust these people with any of my cars ever again. Shady if you ask me. I have the receipt of what I paid.
