Bar service with an attitude. We asked if we could order because we had an appointment. I had a bowl of the chicken gumbo. You could tell they had used a lot of liquid smoke, and very little chicken. Salmon tacos were okay but I don't believe the shells were corn. Ambiance is always nice but bar cluttered and things needed to be bussed. read more

Aubrey's Morristown-TN We ate here on Saturday 8/24/24. There were 8 of us. One of which is my developmentally disabled sister so she can get a little loud sometimes and some people don't always know how to act around her or take her. From the moment we all walked in we were all treated with great respect and kindness from the hostess to the waiter to other staff as we were leaving. Anyone who has a family member like this knows how important and rare this can be. Now for the important stuff the rest of you care about. The food was absolutely amazing. There were eight of us so we had a variety of dishes. There was Asian Chicken Salad, Patty Melts, Fish and Chips, Tenders and fries, Tomato Basil Pasta, Baked potato soup and Caesar salad, Classic Cheese burger and fries, and homemade "chips" and nachos for appetizers. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! The "chips" were to die for! They are sliced potatoes fried crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside and seasoned with the best blend of spices!! Not spicy just yummy! My husband stated the burger in his patty melt was the "best burger I've ever eaten"! He can't stand any pink in his meat so he's used to eating charcoal mostly for burgers and steaks. But this patty melt he got he described as being well done but still juicy and had the best "crisp" edges and crust and full of flavor. I tried my daughter's potato soup and it was heavenly! I don't know what it was seasoned with but it was a very unique blend and it was very very good! The portions are generous! Everyone but my husband and father in law had to get boxes to go. Our server was attentive without being intrusive x kept all 8 of us with glasses filled at all times. Food served hot and timely. We spent almost 2 hours there for a family luncheon and enjoyed every minute of it. It's got a really nice bar and a variety of drink choices if you feel like a cocktail, daily specials, very clean and modern but inviting decor. I honestly can't remember the last time I've enjoyed a restaurant so thoroughly. If you are looking for a nice lunch or evening out I HIGHLY recommend you try Aubrey's! Aubrey's is an excellent restaurant to visit if you are in Morristown. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is top-notch. We started with their spinach con queso, and their freshly made bread. The spinach was extremely flavorful and the chips were nicely fried and salted. I really enjoy their bread as it's slightly sweet and paired with a butter that also has sugar in it. We then got a variety of entrées, including salads, salmon, tacos, Reuben, sandwiches, and multiple sides. Everything was spot on and delicious. The salmon tacos are very soft and flavorful with the salsa. The Reuben is thick, juicy, and the dressing has a nice tang. The salads are fresh and crisp. And all of their sides are excellent. I highly recommend their sweet potato fries, squash casserole, sautéed mushrooms, french fries, steamed, broccoli, macaroni, tomato, bisque, and baked potato. You can't go wrong with any of those. We then end of the meal with a nice chocolate cake with ice cream and caramel sauce. The cake was really warm, and the ice cream quality was very creamy. Our server, Timmy, did an absolutely fantastic job throughout our meal, constantly checking on us, and ensuring that we had everything that we ordered. He also offered to take pictures of us, as we were struggling to do it ourselves. He is great! read more

Four of us went into a crowded Aubrey's on a Friday at dinner time. In spite of the crowds, the level of service was pretty good. I'd read reviews and we went with the popular recommendations. Most of the crew had smash burgers & salmon tacos. One person added pimento cheese to his burger. Most of the burgers were pretty good but one was too well done. They ordered chocolate milkshakes & I had a margarita. I created a dish with pasta & veggies that was tasty but the veggies were too soft. So, yeah! I'd go again. read more

It's very rare for me to give a restaurant a 5 star review. It's extremely difficult to balance customer service, value and food quality to such a high standard. Aubrey's meets and exceeds that mark. Chicken tenders were excellent with a nice thick batter perfectly done. Not too much though like a lot of places. Slaw is the best I have ever had. It's a MUST GET side. BBQ bourbon (?) chicken over rice was also excellent. Finished with a huge slice of key lime pie- also a 19 out of 10. Service- We are not from the area but have been twice during our visit. My glass never was empty which almost never happens. Like the server was watching to see when to bring me a fresh drink. Both servers also offered some amazing local tips on things to do. Soooo friendly. Even had a chance to chat with the oh so nice management staff. You guys rock!! My only complaint is that this is a smaller chain and not available in my area. - yet.... We have dined here several times and this time was no exception. As always, our young server(didn't get her name) was polite, prompt, friendly and very helpful. I had the Heavenly Halibut fresh fish with steamed broccoli. I got a large portion of fish that was hot and very tasty. My wife had the tomato basil pasta, which is her favorite, served hot and fresh. We both had salads, which were fresh and very good portions. The avocado ranch dressing is great. On my trip to Tennessee with my family we decided to stop by Aubrey's in Morristown. Aubrey's is a small farm to table chain. They had chalkboard signs all around the restaurant with cartoon characters like Scooby Doo. I decided to get the North Carolina fried catfish which comes with one side and a lemon caper sauce. The catfish had a nice crispy crunch to it. I opted to get the Mac and cheese as a side. It had a slight pepper taste to it. We went here twice while we were in Morristown. The place feels fairly upscale. It reminded me of some of the nicer restaurants back home. It's also nice that the place has space to breathe. The first time I went here I decided I'd try something new and got the Boston Scrod, which was really good. I felt like the portioning on that dish was a bit small but it was very enjoyable. The side dishes we got (mashed yukon golds and mashed squash) were very comforting and enjoyable. Only issue with that visit was that we didn't get bread even though we asked for some. The second time we went we did get bread, though, and it was reeeaally good. If I'm remembering it right it was a bit like cornbread. The butter that went with it was soft and sweet which made things even better. As for actual dishes, this time I got the Rattlesnake Pasta while my mom got the Seafood Pasta. I had plenty of both (she got full), and they were both very satisfying and creamy pasta dishes. I'm always a bit wary of dishes with grilled chicken since they're often not done right but they sliced the chicken in the rattlesnake pasta thinly enough and cooked it just right which I was very pleased with. Nothing tasted out of place to me which is great. The dishes were also more filling this time around so the scrod may have been a one-off. I was also very happy with the service we got. We came in pretty late, around 20-30 minutes to closing each time, but we weren't made to feel like a burden. Chris, our server the second time around, was very kind and checked on us often, offering up a good bit of info on the area since we were visiting. Overall I'm very pleased.
