I had three favourite Québécois dishes you won't find done as well anywhere else. Their soups are so rich and flavourful every spoon is worth savouring. Mine was broccoli and fresh green pea. Then beet salad. Omg so good along with fresh made dressing it's a must in la belle province. The savoury puck of joy aka boeuf tartare is found everywhere, even dive bars, but this place made me the best I've tried. Well worth checking out when in Lévis!

Friendly servers with great recommendations! Highly recommend the foie gras, deer medallions, and beef tartare. The restaurant also offered a small dessert to celebrate my birthday. What a special place!! In terms of seatings, I would recommend sitting at the bar/lounge side as the restaurant section felt too crammed and uptight.

It was 30 outside but for some reason they had the patio doors opened so inside felt like outside. I feel bad for the staff and customers because it was as so warm outside. The food was okay but the service was terrible. I blame it on the kitchen staff and expediters. The meals came out at different times, and some people at our table were done with their meal while others were still waiting for their mains. How is that possible?? The person who got a falafel bowl had to wait the longest! Fried chic peas took longer than my veal and when they brought the falafel bowl they left the paper ticket in the bowl. So unprofessional. Justine our server was apologetic and offered a free dessert but we were not in the mood. She tried her best and was great but the kitchen staff and management (!not closing the patio doors) let her down. It was 1.5/5 experience, only because Justine tried so hard to make it positive.

No alcohol served, BUT..... the locals bring their own wine. So BYOB....don't let that stop you, maybe pick up a bottle at the local IGA before going? I was staying at the Marriott 1/2 mile away and didn't want to eat in the hotel but wanted to eat local so I'm glad I found this joint. I went there on a Wednesday at 7. Plenty of local residents. I had a house salad (really good) and 8 oz steak with fries. The steak is sirloin but has brown gravy pepper sauce which really helps. Don't go here looking for a cowboy ribeye or Morton's New York strip. They have a lot of other entrée choices. Service was fast and competent. Dress business casual. Paid $50 Canadian plus tip. Menu is all French but they'll help you figure it out.

We made a reservation online and that went smoothly. We were seated immediately upon our arrival. I was delighted by the pink and gold decor and took a bunch of photos. I also liked the large and well maintained aquarium in the center of the dining area. The restaurant was full of large groups of people, many with children, and the whole vibe was joyous and lively. The staff was amazing and hustled energetically to take care of everyone. Everyone working here seems fluent in English and French. We really liked our upbeat and charming server, Alicia. She has a fantastic smile! The crepe I got was perfect and the fruit sides were fresh and flavorful. My husband enjoyed his Montreal-style bagel and fresh squeezed orange juice. I highly recommended this restaurant and hope to have the opportunity to eat here again!

She was so informative and she gave the best recommendations--and also, so incredibly sweet. She suggested the famous pot en pot, and the baby back ribs. We also ordered the french onion soup as well. We loved her suggestions, my parents and I basically cleaned the plate for them. Even the salad from each plate was delicious. (My dad, who is normally not a fan of salads, kept going for more) The french onion soup was also good, but a little too salty for my parents. I had briefly mentioned to Nancya about that, and she ended up taking it off the bill. I thanked her and she said it was normal! As an American, this is not what I'm used to and I was just beyond surprised over the customer service. I highly recommend going to Cochon Dingue and I hope your server is Nancya, because you will be taken care of.
