French onion soup
Irina M.

Went to this restaurant while in Paris for a quick lunch before going sight seeing. The restaurant is nice located on the corner with outside sitting which made it a perfect lunch spot. The waiter was nice and accommodating. The food was kind of disappointing: I got the onion soup which had no onion flavor, no salt no paper, and a salat with brea cheese that also tasted so bland.

Escargot, charcuterie board, French onion soup, cosmopolitan and a mojito!

Both times I was in Paris, I made a trip here. The first time, me and my boyfriend were strolling through le marais when we noticed this place. It was small, chic and inviting. We sat down to eat outside despite the cold, because the heat lamps outside made it plenty warm! The music was cool too - lots of 60s and 70s oldies that I loved. The service was awesome, and I had the same waiter when I went back months later with my mom. The charcuterie board was delicious and the bread was great and abundant, they just kept it coming. They also had great happy hour specials for drinks! Definitely a great place to grab a bite, a drink or a cappuccino.

I loved the camembert salad here. It was easily the best sit down meal I had in Paris. Delicious potatoes and great bread basket. My boyfriend got the brunch deal which was a lot of good food as well.

Brunch at Au Coeur du Marais

Had brunch at au coeur du marais and wasn't very impressed. We had a lemon crepe which was very sour, and bread with a selection of butter/jams. Coffee was good. One member of our party went for the confit de canard, and that was very disappointing. The flavor was just off. So, the food wasn't anything special, but the location and the place itself is very pleasant.

Best omelette I've ever! I got an egg, cheese, sausage,…read moremushroom omelette. Omelette was fluffy and very flavorful til the last bite. The vibe and music of the place was excellent our server was polite and very quick with our food. Highly recommended with very good portion sizes!

The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.
