#33 on our Hundreds of Hops This was a terrible stop to end our night on. I'm actually looking forward to hitting the Detroit one to compare because we were excited for this one. There were 3 of us. One other couple was seated and left shortly after we arrived. There was also a takeout order at one point. Strangely dead in there for a drinking day, especially when every other place we visited was packed. We sat at the bar, were handed menus & the guy gave a few suggestions, then disappeared. We never saw him again. Another guy was working & even with us having empty glasses and attempting eye contact, he wouldn't even look our direction. We were planning to order food after getting our drinks, that didn't happen. Eventually, we left some money & headed elsewhere. Even great beer wouldn't bring me back into this establishment, not that it matters, as the beer wasn't great. It wasn't terrible but not great either. Service, now THAT was terrible. Nifty looking place & story too, so, what a shame.

Happy hour, pint with pretzel bites or fried pickles

Snagged the happy hour deal! M-Th, 3pm - 5pm A pint and fried pickles or a pint and pretzel bites for $10! Husband got the pretzels, I got the fried pickles! The fried pickles came as chips, which made it great for finger food. We didn't run the risk of having the breading completely fall off in the first bite. The pretzel bites were like soft, hot puffs. For my beer, I chose the double chocolate mint decadent. 8% beer, not too stouty, very light mint flavor. For entrees, I got the pub burger and my husband got the wrap. My burger ended up being a bit dry; I should have asked for it to be cooked medium rare. Husband said his wrap tasted fine. Service was great!

Dead bugs and droppings at the window sill of our table

Not only did it take over an hour to get our food. The order was wrong. Additionally the place is filthy! As shown in the pictures our table was sitting next to a bunch of dead bugs, potential rat droppings, and don't look up or you'll be greeted by charlotte and her lovely webs! (We sat in the back corner) Will not be back!

Went to Atwater Brewery GR during a business trip. Atmosphere was not very good. Pretty empty and boring. 2 bar tenders were somewhat attentive but they were busy talking to other patrons for a long time. Ordered mushroom pizza which was good but was premade elsewhere and not homemade - just reheated. Also had a side salad with Blue cheese dressing. Not cold and most of the lettuce was wilted. I had a Dirty Blonde ale which was also just okay. Would I go back? Probably not. Could be a great place but no TLC.

Good brew and decent food. GR has a lot of brewery options, Atwater is better than average but not supreme on the scene. Had a couple of brews and a bratwurst in a pretzel bun. Bratwurst was good but not outstanding.

Maggie is amazing! She's fantastic!!! Can't say enough of how great of a bartender she is.

Our experience was great! Maggie was excellent and was very friendly. The environment is very chill and enjoyable. We did not eat any food on this visit, but the beer was great!

Now that they take reservations online and not just in person, it's so much easier to get a seat! Every time family or friends visit in town this is our first stop. The decor and ambiance is top tier and I wish there were more like it in GR! I highly recommend for a date night or nicer dinner out since it is a nicer place and the prices reflect that somewhat. My favorites are the whipped feta, wagyu sirloin, and the Daisy Du cocktail. For dessert, the bourbon apple crisp and chocolate mouse cake are incredible. But you truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

I felt like had to try THE burger (BU butcher's beef blend, cheddar, caramelized onions, spicy pickles, creamy aioli, griddled brioche). This ate like a fancy Big Mac - and I mean that in the most complimentary way. So tasty! I, of course, had to add the hand cut fries. These were done VERY well. Also, they had a very SOLID spicy bloody mary. So why only 4 stars then? Welp, best burger in the state still goes to Ricewood (Friday & Saturday only!) - that smoked brisket burger is dang good. I'd come back to BU to try other items and enjoy their patio. Reservations can be made on OpenTable.

This is a restaurant and bar with simulator bays. How fun!…read more Most simulators are set up for just golf but I saw other sports equipment in other bays, so they may have some throwing style games as well. You can eat, drink, and play golf - you can do it all or you can do just one. However, if you plan on playing golf / using a simulator bay, you should call or go online and make a reservation. It gets busy there. I love that they have seasonal cocktails. They had some special ones for st Patrick's day. They also have happy hour M-F from 2-6pm. I booked a bay, it charges per 30 min. The hour was $65. I had one cocktail. I got a briefing on the system and I was on my way to playing a very difficult golf course in South Korea. They have club upgrades but I stuck with the standard bag. I had a great time. Next time I will choose an easier golf course! Also, I believe the server calculates their tip not only on what you buy but also your bay time. So I'll review my check a little closer next time. The sell golf gloves if you need one/forgot yours. There is a small parking lot next to the building or you can park on the street or garage nearby. Bathrooms are on all levels. Fun place. I'll be back.

Glad to be proven wrong! It's greasy-ish bar food at the end of the day, but the happy hour specials were really affordable and the food was very good. Fries were seasoned well, chicken tenders were crispy, and the poutine was done well too. Very beige plates all around though. Golf simulator side of things was awesome. They've got ones with extra sports too so you can play t-ball, pitch, throw a football, kick a field goal, play hockey, or kick a soccer ball on a penalty kick. You can bring your own clubs and practice as well. Very cool experience, very spacious, and perfect for birthday parties for kids who like sports or late night group activities that isn't bowling. Super spacious too with two bars both upstairs and downstairs. Very cool and unique spot downtown!
