This service worth every penny and very honest. From the beginning, the sales representative, Manny, was open and honest. He waited 10 minutes for me to return for an appointment and was understanding. He took the time to look around the outside of the house for entry points while he waited. We started the review and he was quick and efficient. I have had 4 estimates and he was the first to come up with a credible view of the problem. Although, he found many of the same issues as others, he took the time to explain how they would correct the problem and not avoid talking about warranties. I was ready for him to hit me with another bullshit price, but he did not. He came in 40% cheaper than their competitor and was able to get me in quickly. No side hustle, same type of service and materials. I am not going to mention the other company, but honestly, they suck and start with the same beginning of their name. Those liars offered me a ridiculous quote and 20% discount if I booked by the next day....Did I mention that ATTICARE started off 40% cheaper from the jump. Awesome guys. The team showed up on time. They confirmed the appointment prior to the day and Vinnie was excellent. They double checked the work order and took their time to ensure they were complete and thorough. At every stage of cleaning and sanitizing the attic, he explained what was happening. They plastic wrapped everything and were very conscious of the fact I had young children in the house to take care in moving equipment and disposing fo old, disgusting materials. They removed all old materials, sanitized and disinfected everything, sealed all holes, and did we insulation throughout. The rep called me and said he was running late, and would be their closer to 1:00pm but would keep me posted. Almost 2 hours later I ended up calling him back and he gave me some lame excuse that he was on his way. I told him it would have been nice to have been kept in the loop on his eta, he told me it's a feee estimate. Firstly, I never give out fives unless I'm getting something for free, and this was 100% without a shadow of a doubt not free. In fact, the meat of the reasoning behind the three stars is because the price tag for this service was astronomical, borderline egregious. But, out of anxiety because of the shape of the attic, my wife and I hastily booked the appointment. Called Atticare in because the insulation is basically gone. Ordered up service to toss previous owners' garbage, vacuum old insulation, seal gaps, sanitize wood, and reinsulate with R30. Customer service was very good, communication was prompt, responsive, and smooth, appointments were timely, the employees were polite and helpful, and the quality of work was above average. There were some sloppy parts that, for the price paid, should have been taken care of, but oh well. Overall, happy to have piece of mind the attic is clean and insulated again. read more

I have one large crawl space and one small crawl space in my basement. Both were damaged in a major flood and the insulation was filled with water causing mold. Nick, who came out to give me the bid, was friendly, professional, and informative. Together, we figured out the best solution for my situation. The crawl spaces are extremely difficult to work in as they are only 2.5' high. This fantastic crew came in and meticulously removed all the old insulation. Cleaned out both crawlspaces. Then installed both foam board and fiberglass insulation (depending on whether the area had risk of flooding or not). The foreman was a lovely, informative person. The crew was excellent. They didn't leave until they were done at 7PM. They left my basement far cleaner than when they arrived (including the spaces they didn't even work on). very good experience with this company. we live in a really old house and our Childrens bedrooms are very cold during the winter. we got an appointment with a sales rep very quickly, he was on time and very clean and dillegent when going uo into the attic and crawl space beneath the house. The price was fair and we got a discount. Last winter i had a squirrel problem I hired atticare to block all the access point to my attic and to replace my old insulation, The job was nicely done. Few months later I was hearing some noises from the attic so i decided to give them a call just to make sure this little monster did not find his way in again. We had mice issue in the attic for years and they destroyed the insulation leaving feces and dropping all over the place YACC Atticare removed all of the old, contaminated insulations from our attic.They cleaned up the entire attic and vacuumed rodent's waste, then they blew in new insulation and sanitize the entire attic. They plugged all holes in walls in the attic and the basement to make sure no more mice could get in..They put wire mesh around the attic vents to keep all unwanted animals out. Everything went great..They came with a crew of 5 and were done in 7 hours..The attic is cleaner than it has ever been and the insulation was blown in evenly.The holes are all filled, they even installed a new attic fan to prevent moisture related issues. A very professional company... I called them to get a quote for our attic insulation and we were promptly scheduled (even though its busy season now). The sales rep came on that same Sunday ( they are probably the only company in this business that works on sundays) to come by. Not only did they give me a detailed rundown of what they were going to do for us, he brought his ipad with videos and photos to show us what the process was. The sales rep was neat and clean as he came in wearing a coverup suit when he went up to inspect the attic and promptly went back to his car to change his clothes before coming and sitting down to explain everything. Horrible! Two of the crew that did the work appeared underaged. The crew leader was aware that there were problems with the job and told me that the company would need to inspect the work. I was told that the crew was fired after they did the work in my attic. No one else from Atticare has seen the work and they refuse to come and look. Dirt and filth from the attic fell through the ceiling from around the wooden beams in my living room and dining room. The crew leader said they would clean it up but left without doing so. It took 5 solid hours of work for me to clean the six spots where dirt came through onto my TV, couch, carpet, dining table, dining room floor and coffee table. I had the work inspected by two reliable companies and both said the insulation was inadequate (only 7 inches) both noted rodent droppings around and under the furnace, one said the insulation material was poor quality, and it appears that an exhaust fan in a bathroom was disconnected or blocked. I had wanted the gable fan to be evaluated and replaced if needed, but nothing was done. The absolute worst part is that Atticare has completely abandoned me. The two contacts I have (Ralph and Miguel) will not answer my phone calls. I have never been treated this way by any company. At this point I won't let them back in my attic. You shouldn't either. I had a long history of raccoon coming in and out my attic. Atticare removed and replaced the contaminated insulation and blocked all access points with metal so the raccoon wont be able to get in. Gil the technician helped a lot from the beginning with my home owner insurance, he talked to them and met with the adjuster so I practically didn't have to do anything. Attiicare removed all of the old insulation and vacuumed it to get rid of all the dirt/dust. They replaced one leaking air conditioning duct and retaped the others. Installed seven covers for the recessed kitchen light fixtures then blew in new insulation to cover the attic giving it a R30 insulation value. When the job was completed Elvin the supervisor asked me to inspect the work before he sealed the area as agreed. All the services was completed in an efficient and professional manner. First, I'll say that the consultation was quick, very straight forward, and honest. Project pricing seemed inline with other quotes. And when the work was conducted the contractors showed up on time and presented themselves in a professional manner, making sure I was aware of the process and were able to answer all my questions. They worked quickly and left my house free of any mess. That said, I have two gripes post-work that I've voiced to both Gus and Paul and have yet to hear how it will be resolved. First, there is a portion in my attic floor with no sheetrock that seems to open up to a space above my shower. From the looks of it there was simply a batt placed into the gap. No boards were added to level out the opening to properly air seal, no foam sprayed into the wall caps...just a batt laying there... And Second, their attempt to 'rodent seal' the attic fell short, a portion of one overhang there is a pretty significant space where the facia and soffit should meet, plenty big enough for nimble mice to make their way in. - Terry R. from NJ read more

Awesome team! I was searching online for the right company to remove and replace my attic insulation because it gets VERY hot in the summer. I also had a lot of storage items in my attic and I needed someone to bring everything down so I can take a look and get rid of old stuff. I hired Atticare based on their good reviews and reputation, everything was going smooth until they changed their mind on the cost by increasing the price by 100% in the middle of the work which is unprofessional, unethical and fraudulent. Atticare gave me one total price for 1 major work (install blown-in fiberglass insulation in garage ceiling and exterior walls by making 6 inch holes) and 2 minor work (install bat insulation on my bedroom closet, install foamboard on rim joists in a small crawlspace). They completed the two minor work and made 7 six inch holes in my garage wall before telling me that they can't finish the garage blown-in insulation work because they don't have the right tools and the price would be 100% more if they come back another day. Their argument is they didn't estimate for how much work is involved. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable from this reputable company, especially when they could have told me that after making 1 hole not 7 holes to determine how much work is involved (even then it would not be right for them to change the price since they are a professional company not an unknown handyman from the street that doesn't know what he is doing). It seems that they wanted to tie me to their company first by making the 7 holes (i.e. damage my garage) then telling me about the 100% increase in the price to make me pay for that. We had the trifecta of issues in a newly installed roof resulting in a lot of debris in the attic, dated insulation and a recent rodent/mouse issue. We called atticare and marllon came out and gave us a quote. He was very passionate about his job and it showed. We have small children and they made sure the rest of the house was cordoned off with plastic so no old insulation/debris got in any other room.
