We needed cleaning, sanitation, rat proofing and full installation for our attic. Summer was heating so we wanted it done ASAP. Not only was Attic Construction able to do it faster than anyone, they had the lowest bid. The entire project went out without a hitch and the crew was super-friendly and efficient.

Attic Construction just completed a blow in insulation job at my house yesterday and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed. I don't typically write reviews but this company absolutely deserves it. I submitted an inquiry to the company over the weekend and was promptly contacted the next business day to schedule my in-home consultation. Angela was extremely professional and coordinated the consultation around my availability. Jake came out to perform the in-home consultation and was transparent about the process, what to expect, provided recommendations that made sense for our home, and was honest throughout the entire process. Plus, Jake arranged for the attic clean up and insulation service to be performed the same day as the consult. Victor, Jermaine and Jesus - appreciate the work you guys did and the care you took with ensuring this process was clean. As a parent of two young children, you guys made certain that everything was cleaned up properly and I appreciate that. To anyone reading this who is thinking about using Attic Construction's services, do yourself a favor and use their service. Couldn't be more happy with the service they provided.

Job well done!

While attempting to put Christmas ornaments away in the attic, we found that our home had become a popular rodent refuge from the recent rains. Looking around, Attic Construction seemed to be the place to go. I contacted them via Yelp! and was given a variety of schedule openings that were sooner than my next day off. Confirmations made, rock on. They (Jason - great guy/vet) were able to check out the attic on a Saturday, and was given a THOROUGH explanation of their findings, with a detailed plan for correcting. Their rates were completely reasonable when compared to all the online calculators/estimators and we booked that day. Jason was great at explaining the scope of care and what to expect regarding literally everything (crew brief at the warehouse, arrival estimates based on expected traffic, order of operations and estimated completion). The office called 2 days prior to confirm the appointment, with a detailed message that matched my expectations. Humberto called the day of the job as planned, giving me an updated arrival time that matched with what Jason had told me. They called on arrival and were some of, if not THE MOST professional crew I've had the pleasure to work with - no, definitely the best and most professional interaction I've had ever. Long story short, my house is cleaner than when they started, I finally have quality insulation professionally installed and I couldn't be happier. The previous homeowner had laid down multiple sheets of plywood walkway/storage area that they were awesome enough to get rid of for me. My daughters room that has been confusingly cold this winter is now TOASTY WARM (certainly helps when there was NO insulation above her room all this time ). Humberto's crew stayed until the job was done. Communication was better than what I routinely encounter in the hospital during the course of patient care. They are ultimately committed to delivering what is promised, and I have zero concerns about the quality of their work. I'm torn...they did such a fantastic job that I won't have the pleasure of working with them again. If you have any insulation concerns or needs, look no further. Call/text/message Attic Construction. You won't be disappointed. I would absolutely refer them to my family, friends and you Yelpers. A+. Top notch work. You're getting WAY MORE than what you're paying for.

Rodent proofing and insulation job for a house built in 1981: Jake came out to my home and told us we didn't need to get our attic insulated. We just purchased a new roof so the attic was rodent proofed. Honest Guy! Note this Company is the third quote we've received this week. One company quoted us a complete duct work replacement and new fiberglass insulation totaling in the thousands. Complete rip off. Second quote was a little better just to add a little insulation to raise the current height up to today's standards. I'm glad I called this company. Jake said we have 5 years left of life I will definitely use this company when it's time to replace.

All the old insulation!

The crew arrived on time every day, kept the worksite clean (they did a full cleanup at the end of each day), and treated my property with respect throughout the project. The quality of the installation itself was top-notch--exactly what you want when you're investing in something as critical as your roof. A special callout to Dylon, the project manager. His communication was exceptional--clear, proactive, and consistent. He stayed directly involved throughout the job, which made a big difference in ensuring everything went smoothly. It's rare to see that level of hands-on management. They also handled the solar panel dismount and reinstall flawlessly, which is not a trivial task. Even though I'm now upgrading my system due to the NEM 3.0 transition, their work made that process seamless. Post-installation support has been just as impressive. They've continued to be responsive and helpful, especially coordinating around my new solar project--something many companies tend to disappear on after the job is done. Pricing was very reasonable for the level of quality and service provided. And as a bonus--no nonsense on the job site. Unlike some other crews I've seen in the neighborhood, these guys were professional the entire time. Bottom line: excellent workmanship, strong communication, fair pricing, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. Highly recommended.

So I developed a roof leak at our home and the existing roof was at least 25 years old so it was now time for roof replacement! I did my research and contacted the owner Troy whom was very thorough and informative during our conversation and he answered all of my concerns. The next step was to have my roof inspected, address any concerns and formulate an estimated cost for recommended repair. The estimator Dylon spent nearly 45 minutes performing a complete and thorough inspection. I have solar panels and gas lines mounted on our roof which complicated the roof replacement process. Good news is San Diego County Roofing (SDCR) partners with a great solar company and therefore de-activating the solar system, solar panel(s) removal, replacement and re-activation of the solar system is all taken care of through SDCR. Also SDCR warranties all work provided by their partnering solar company. I chose SDCR to replace my roof and what a great decision it was. I was updated and kept informed through each and every step of of the roof replacement process. I had some wood issues (rotting, worn out etc...) and the cost for the wood replacement was very reasonable. Tarps were laid out to cover our pool and artificial turf and after each day the residence was thoroughly cleaned of debris. Edgar the supervisor was always available whenever I had any questions or concerns. Also Dylon was always "Keeping tabs" with the progress and kept me informed of any issues and offered options when applicable. I felt very comfortable knowing that Dylon was always "on top" of things! Upon completion of the job, Juan invited me to view the new roof replacement and informed me of all that had been done and answered all of my questions and concerns. He even explained that my flat roof section of the garage had 2 sheets of "roofing" (know as "torch down") installed as compared to 1 sheet of roofing which most roofing companies provide, something I wouldn't have known. Everything was great and I was extremely satisfied EXCEPT one big problem! Apparently during the process of replacing my roof, a section of my newly installed artificial turf in the front of my house became damaged. I contacted Troy to discuss this big concern not knowing what to expect. After our discussion he instructed me to have the turf replaced and that I would be reimbursed for any and all cost. I had the artificial turf replaced at a cost of $2,200 and true to his word troy had a company check in the amount of $2,200 sent to my house within (1) week. So rest assured SDCR will give you phenomenal service. The company is professional, honest and transparent every step of the way from start to completion. This company has proved should something go wrong, they will make it "right". I highly recommend SDCR and I'm so glad I made the right choice! You should make the right choice too!

They really are the best at what they do -- and they do soooo much! There should be absolutely no doubt in your decision to tackle any project with them, big or small. Just go ahead and book them now and save yourself the time and energy of searching. They truly understand how important your home is to you, inside and out, so they won't disappoint. Maybe most importantly, if any random issue does arise (which it always does with a big project), they will be on top of it immediately! We worked with CRS on both a full roof replacement and a MAJOR bathroom remodel. We were lucky enough to be referred to Liza by a trusted local contractor friend for our roof repair. We got multiple quotes from roofing companies, as it was a big expense for us, but no one understood or communicated better than Liza. Not only did she offer a better product and solution, she also came in more affordable than all the other bids! Her team did such an amazing job on our roof that we reached out to Liza again a few years later for our full bathroom remodel. Oh man -- there's really no way to put into words how much of a project this bathroom was to take on. We ripped the old bathroom down to the studs, expanded its footprint, and fully rebuilt it into a glorious, resort spa-style sanctuary. Major vibe and an inconceivable space upgrade! Liza and her lead builder worked side by side with me daily throughout the entire process. From planning to purchasing, demo to details, problems to solutions -- they nailed it. We inevitably encountered some "fun" issues like improper support beams and suspect wiring, but they always pivoted and solved each problem quickly and thoroughly. The team's positive attitude and good spirits were also a notable and welcome part of the experience. This isn't my first major project, and let's face it -- you don't often get to work with true pros who are both really good at what they do and genuinely good, happy people. They are! It's been a few months since we finished the project, so I feel bad that I didn't get this review up sooner. We just couldn't seem to put everything they accomplished for us and our home into a concise synopsis. We wanted to gush about every little thing, but in the end, all you really need to know is that we were 100% satisfied, and you should feel 100% confident teaming up with CRS to successfully bring your next project and vision to life. Seriously -- feel free to message me with any specific questions about our experience with the roof and/or the bathroom remodel!

Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

My project has a 28-panel solar system (lease) - so I was up against the additional obstacle of coordinating with the solar group to take those down (and put them back up) so the roof could be accessed. Nick at RC Roofing made himself readily available before, during, and after the project. He answered all of my questions fully and clearly. He explained everything in a way I could understand, and I never felt rushed as I was talking with him. He even helped me coordinate/communicate with the solar group to ensure all the timing worked out, and to ensure the solar group didn't pierce/damage the new roof upon reinstall. If you're evaluating roofers, this is your group. If their proposal wasn't the lowest you received, I'd still recommend them, as you can't put a pricepoint on reliability and communication.

My experience with Peak Builders and their warranty:…read more This review covers my experience in hiring PB to fix a leak at our house (cost $20K+). The leak was via a wall or where the wall met slab, buried beneath an elevation. After purchasing the house, we discovered several leaks in different areas of the house. The leak PB was hired to fix was the only one that was found in a particular area/wall, isolated from other leaks. After completing the fix, the house was sold. Upon heavy rains starting again in San Diego, the leak was found to still be present by the buyers. This review is based on inspection reports and insurance claims, an engineering report, and documented responses of PB to the new buyers. I removed the first review owing to PB bringing up potential for a defamation lawsuit, so am keeping this one based solely on documented facts (inspections, insurance claim, documented response of PB to new buyers). Many of these are resulting from a very expensive settlement from us to the new buyers after PB declined to accept their responsibility to the failure of their fix and the related warranty, thus we have paid for the leak to be addressed a second time. Note that the lawsuit covered this leak, as well as other issues unrelated to what PB were hired to address. Note also that an engineering report of the house that we paid for separately from PB included input on how to fix the leak, which was more dramatic than what PB suggested. Based on oral conversations with PB at the time, we believed the scoped work was undertaken to address the leak, and that the warranty covered the leak being fixed. After we discovered the leak, the area was inspected by other contractors, as well as an engineer, and was part of an insurance claim. PB was hired to fix the leak. As licensed experts, PB determined the appropriate steps and scope of work. This was performed over many weeks, digging up the side of the house, exposing the wall and corner that the leak was observed from inside the house, waterproofing and treating the wall. The contract with PB detailed the intended scope of work. After the leak was re-discovered, and through recent conversations with PB, they are claiming they were not hired to fix the leak, but instead to complete only the details scoped in the contract, and that they are not responsible for the leak. Their claim (IMO) is that they did complete the scoped work and the warranty does not cover the leak, only the work that they performed, and that they are not responsible for the leak. Their interpretation, if accurate, is that we hired them to perform work unrelated to the leak. My recommendation for others that intend to hire PB is to ensure that the contract and scope of work point directly to why the work is being undertaken (e.g. fix a leak), and that it is stated within the contract that the work and cost, and the warranty, cover the GOAL of the work, not just details of the work they will perform. Otherwise, it leaves them an out to claim that they did the work that was scoped, and that that work was not necessarily done to address an issue, with the warranty not covering the issue.
