Would not recommend, I needed to sub them out for a downtown project. First they took a few days to get the estimate to me, once I got it approved I scheduled a start date a week or so in advance. Once we got it scheduled they called the night before they were going to start and said "oh actually we can't do that kind of insulation job, we're mostly residential sorry we can't do it. I was screwed and had to use 911 restoration to complete the job. (They are great) Then the manger calls me and talks about how sorry he is and that he's the new GM and he'll send me something in the mail then after it never came he was going to meet me on a Friday. Well the first time they came out they found a wasps nest in my attic so couldn't complete the job. Saod I had to get rid of the wasps first so I called a company and they wouldn't do it due to my attic was very little room. So they suggested to put bug bombs off in the attic so about a month or more later I was able to that. Then rescheduled the appt and had my insulation installed finally. Its done now and looks good. We scheduled an Attic inspection since our top floor was always too hot. Dan showed up, climbed into the attic, took some pictures, and discovered that half of the roof had no insolation. He recommended to do a blown in of a new insolation and quoted a fair price. We agreed to do the blown in insolation and within the same week the installation took place. I had Attic Construction come give me an estimate to get rid of some birds living in my attic and seal off the entryways to prevent any more critters from moving in. PLEASE READ before going with Attic Construction. I wanted to like this company, especially after such high reviews. Sales person came right out, inspected the attic, was respectful, then started with what the job entailed and quotes. Included in the job was this bleach compound they spray throughout the attic to disinfect. After quoting me some INSANE price (over $6,000 for a 1400 sq ft house) he started with the "now let's look for discounts to get this price down." Total sales tactic. Literally, one (of the many) "discounts" was him asking me if I had an elderly person living in my home. When I told him "no", he said he'd ignore my answer and would add that discount as well. Once the price got down to $3,700, he started a new line by saying they had a cancelation for this weekend and if I took that appointment, they could knock off another $500. It was all orchestrated with a phone call to his "boss" and everything. BE AWARE OF THIS ACT. This sales guy repeated the phrase "I don't have customers, I just have friends" (something to that effect). Despite my better judgement, I went with Attic Construction. When they showed up, the guy in a red t-shirt (the on site project manager wears red) was nice but gave me insight into what I actually paid for. There were no cancelations, and this "disinfectant" is water with a little bleach. Nothing special and took them a whole 4 minutes to do. Additionally, they were reckless in moving equipment, damaging my wall, ceiling and floor. The ONLY reason for 2 stars is because after calling and complaining about the damage, they knocked off additional money from the total paid (probably because I had already overpaid). We heard about Attic Construction from a family friend who is a realtor. They were able to come out quickly and assess our home for the source of a (very unpleasant) sewage smell. Excellent team of professionals at Attic Construction! Decided to redo the old and compressed insulation in our attic in East County, in order to significantly improve our HVAC bills during hot summers. They were prompt making the appointment to provide an estimate, and even had an availability to do the work the next day for a discount if we were flexible! It's not cheap to completely redo the insulation, but the professionalism and service make it bearable, and hoping to recover the cost in the form of lower energy bills in a few years. After completing the job, I went into the attic to replace the attic vent fan myself, and noticed it was just a little low in a few spots below the R30 code. I called them to see if one of their professionals could come do a quick inspection and audit. Sure enough, it was a couple inches below code in a few areas. They promptly scheduled another team to come and blow in some more to bring it up to code, and were very professional about it. Lane did a great job taking pictures after adding a little more insulation and assuring me I wasn't being a difficult "nit-pickey" customer, which made me feel better about making sure I received what I paid for. Overall, everyone I interacted with was polite, professional and friendly. The insulation team did a great job of removing all the old insulation, rodent proofing the attic, and blowing in the new insulation. A neighbor gave me info for them for some attic insulation. They gave a nice pretty brochure and came out to do an estimate that turned out to be OUTRAGEOUS!!!! The cost was basically 2.5x that of the person we hired. And yes the person we hired was licensed and also had experience doing blow in insulation. The guy that came to do the estimate gave me some line about a "shortage of insulation" and that there was no guarantee they could do the job if I didn't do it by the end of the month. Cue eye roll and skeezy sales tactic. If you are an insulation company and you don't have enough materials on hand to do jobs past 3 weeks then your company is A COMPLETE FAILURE.
