They took a step to make things better for their customer following some conflict and maybe misunderstanding after their visit.

We were in a tough spot with our rental property. A water leak damaged quite a bit of drywall and time was of the essence to get our tenants back home. We called a few companies and Advanced Drywall provided a reasonable price and once they heard about our situation juggled their schedule around to accommodate us immediately. They arrived on time, performed top-notch work, left the place clean, and did it all at a very competitive price. I would absolutely use their services again and I give them my highest recommendation. P.S. Sorry Daniel, I know this review is quite overdue and I'm sorry but I definitely didn't forget about how awesome you and your team were. Thanks again for everything!!!! read more

an architect and builder, we have hired this company to handle some of our most intricate drywall work. Over the years, we've worked with many contractors, but we continue to return to this team because of their professionalism, skill, and consistency. Their attention to detail is unmatched, and the quality of their finishes speaks for itself. Reliable, professional, and easy to work with--we highly recommend them. read more

Thank you Daniel for your great service and awesome work I will definitely recommend your company you Rock.

TLDR: Daniel demolished a wall from my house which he said was not load-bearing. The next morning we found out it was, as the ceiling sagged several inches overnight. He took absolutely no responsibility for it. My home has spent 6+ months with its structure compromised, because that's how has taken to repair, plus thousands of additional dollars I had not planned to spend, due to Daniel's incompetence. Full story: We hired Daniel to remove a wall separating our kitchen and living room, to create an open concept, if and only if he could determine that the wall was not a load-bearing structure. During the process we asked numerous times if he was sure that it was not load-bearing, and he always replied very aggressively and in a rude manner, saying how "he knows what he's doing, he's been doing this many years". He went ahead with the demolition. The next day the ceiling had sagged several inches and there were cracks on it. We urgently went to Home Depot ourselves and bought 2x4's to try to brace it and prevent further damage. We called Daniel, who did not even come to the house, and still refused to accept that he had demolished a load-bearing wall, and refused to take any responsibility, after we had already paid him half of the agreed amount. We have spent 6+ months with the integrity of our house compromised, a daily reminder of this very frustrating experience due to Daniel's ineptitude and lack of professionalism. We also had to spend thousands more dollars than we had originally planned to. I strongly recommend you do not hire Daniel Arvizu from Advanced Drywall for anything at all. I have filed an official complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs' Contractors State License Board. read more

Advanced Drywall did a great job. They finished earlier than expected and everything looks great.

We hired Daniel to help repair one of my tenants ceilings. While his quote was higher than some of the other quotes we received, he had the earliest availability to complete the job so we went with him. However, he refused to provide a formal quote and would only text me the total cost. Then once the job was done he demanded immediate payment. He called me and left a voicemail, then texted me, then sent an email all within 24 hours of the job completion demanding payment. I told him that the invoice he sent has been forwarded to the owners and they will issue payment promptly. He then responded with hostility that he's not a credit company and that he expects payment immediately upon completion and overall very unprofessional. We will never work with this company again. We pay above average price for an average job, but the whole interaction with Daniel was beyond unpleasant. read more

Daniel was absolutely awesome both times he's helped me. Not only was he affordable and honest, his work speaks for itself. Going forward, anytime that I need any type of drywall repair or work, he's the man to call. GET THIS, needed to repair a hole in my ceiling due to water damage - needed it done quickly too; he came on Easter Sunday at the exact time scheduled and legit made a professional repair by himself! Speaks volumes considering he's the big man for the company. The previous repair was just as good and done by one of his employees. If you're looking for some drywall repair or work - don't go anywhere else. This is the best company for the job. read more

Daniel's team installed and finished new drywall for my garage. He was able to start the project quickly, which I appreciated. I told Daniel that I wanted a quality job and not a get it done quickly job. Attention to detail is important to me and I feel Daniel's team missed the mark. The craftsmanship was underwhelming. I feel that because the drywall was installed in a garage, his team might have thought that it was ok just to throw it together. Update: I have updated my review to 4 stars as Daniel reached out to me to address my concerns. Daniel is easy to get ahold of and is more than happy to resolve customer concerns. read more

I am renovating the interior of my house and I needed a drywall company to get it ready for painting. I called Advanced Drywall and Daniel came out the next day to give me an estimate. I needed a lot of work done. This man knows his trade. His company's bid was competitive so I went with Advanced. He had technicians available to start my job in only two days. They installed lots of corner bead then matched the existing texture on my walls before doing a hand texture on all ceilings. It took a few days but they worked every day until it was completed. His finishers did a great job and did a thorough clean up when the work was done. My house looks like new and is now ready for paint. Thanks, Daniel. read more

Advanced Drywall - Where was the hole ? ;) - Drywall Installation & Repair Near Me - San Diego, California

Very professional, clean and punctual. Patched holes, replaced panels, repaired damaged plaster and left the place clean.

I contacted Advanced Drywall and Plaster looking to have unsightly plaster cracks throughout my older 1944 built home repaired. The owner, Daniel was quick to respond and fit me into his schedule on very short notice. He showed up on time and was extremely thorough in inspecting the house, even identifying cracks I hadn't noticed before. Daniel was very knowledgeable, explaining the likely repair history of my home and pointing out areas that had been poorly repaired in the past. Daniel's crew was able to quickly start the project the following week for a fair price and were just as impressive. Pedro took care to cover our hardwood floors and left the house as clean as he found it every day. He took the time to go over every surface of the house in light and dark conditions and went way above and beyond in repairing every little crack and imperfection he found. I would highly recommend Advanced Drywall and Plaster to anyone looking for a fairly priced, honest, and detailed contractor. I plan on using them again in the future for other projects. read more

I had some water damaged drywall that another restoration company removed and dried the wall but wouldn't get started on the drywall replacement in a timely manner. I called Advanced Drywall and Daniel gave me a fast turnaround quote from the pictures I sent him which was very reasonable. He also had someone arrive on Saturday morning who 1. arrived right on time which I appreciate and 2. did a fast efficient job. I'm very happy with the drywall repair and texturing job. Daniel even recommended a painter he works with to finish the job who'll be here early next week to put this whole thing to rest. Highly recommended, fast and efficient. Couldn't be happier. read more

Daniel and his crew were prompt, polite, and professional. We had flooding in our finished basement and had to have the drywall removed. Advanced Drywall was able to put it back together, install insulation and recommended water resistant purple board drywall. They even were able to demo some tile baseboard in the bathroom at short notice, patch up the walls, and come up with a reasonable price. Daniel was professional on the phone and Pedro is was did a great job on the walls. He really worked to match the texture in the walls so everything will blend in. I would recommend. read more

Daniel thanks for the quick repair. From beginning to end, Daniel was extremely professional and explained the repair every step of the way. I called Daniel at 12:30 looking for an immediate drywall repair. He was supportive and confirmed a 2:00 repair time. The job was under my kitchen sink and not easily accessible, but Daniel masterly made the repairs and by 4:30 the job was completely done. I highly recommend Advance Drywall and Repair for all your drywall repairs. I will definitely use Daniel and his team for all my future drywall and plaster repairs. read more

Advanced Drywall is prompt, reasonably priced, and they do exceptional work. My husband and I have used them for two projects now, the most recent being concluded this last December. Aside from their great work, Daniel--the owner--is honest and direct. When our latest project proved to be more time consuming than originally thought, he made sure they came back until the job was done right without charging us anything extra. If ever we need drywall work again in the future, we'll definitely be calling Advanced Drywall & Plaster. read more

They couldn't have made it any easier for me. I texted and sent a picture and was able to get an estimate immediately. I scheduled the job for two days later. We were having our older home remodeled and the exterior walls insulated. We had 4" size holes drilled above and below the fire break every few feet to add the insulation. We searched high and low for a drywall company that could patch the holes well. Daniel came out, arrived on time, gave me a prompt estimate and scheduled the work. The work was done on time and on budget, and I can't say enough about the quality of the dry wall texture. It looks like the walls have never been touched. Hanging drywall isn't hard but patching, mudding, taping, and getting the texture and look just right is an art form and Daniel and his team did a phenomenal job. We highly recommend them! read more

Worked with Advanced Drywall on a project to Sheetrock and finish a 22ft long garage wall. Was looking to fix cracks in the drywall at my condo and and Daniel did an excellent, efficient job on it, explaining to me what he was going to do (and going over it afterwards) and charging a fair price. Daniel and his crew saved the day on our new build! I had Daniel come give me a second opinion on sub par drywall work done by my general contractor. We walked around with a straight edge and he told me all the things that were wrong with the previous job. Once hired he was evasive and defensive. He accused me of checking the walls wrong over the phone! I had to have his guys redo the walls that he "fixed" and the results were barely better than the previous job. I would not have spent the money if I knew the results. He blamed the house framing. But, why was he so quick to say he could do a better job and make it right? Over promised and under delivered with a hem and haw about how many hours his guys put in. Isn't it his job to know what his crew is capable of doing? read more

Great customer service. Very punctual and professional. Thank you! I highly recommend this company

The actual stucco work we had done was great. The work was done over a year ago and I'm very happy with the labor. It's the owner that needs work. I had received a quote thru yelp and this company was the cheapest. The owner, at the time of the service, starts texting LONG (longer than my cell phone screen) and SEVERAL texts, ranting about how people always try to screw him over, says I never told him there was an air conditioning unit present, and mandated that I add $100 to the agreed amount. I just found my original request for a quote. The very first line I wrote says "I have an ac unit that I want removed, the wall repaired...". Just watch out. He'll bait you then switch, while ranting like a lunatic. read more
