TLDR: Daniel demolished a wall from my house which he said was not load-bearing. The next morning we found out it was, as the ceiling sagged several inches overnight. He took absolutely no responsibility for it. My home has spent 6+ months with its structure compromised, because that's how has taken to repair, plus thousands of additional dollars I had not planned to spend, due to Daniel's incompetence. Full story: We hired Daniel to remove a wall separating our kitchen and living room, to create an open concept, if and only if he could determine that the wall was not a load-bearing structure. During the process we asked numerous times if he was sure that it was not load-bearing, and he always replied very aggressively and in a rude manner, saying how "he knows what he's doing, he's been doing this many years". He went ahead with the demolition. The next day the ceiling had sagged several inches and there were cracks on it. We urgently went to Home Depot ourselves and bought 2x4's to try to brace it and prevent further damage. We called Daniel, who did not even come to the house, and still refused to accept that he had demolished a load-bearing wall, and refused to take any responsibility, after we had already paid him half of the agreed amount. We have spent 6+ months with the integrity of our house compromised, a daily reminder of this very frustrating experience due to Daniel's ineptitude and lack of professionalism. We also had to spend thousands more dollars than we had originally planned to. I strongly recommend you do not hire Daniel Arvizu from Advanced Drywall for anything at all. I have filed an official complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs' Contractors State License Board. read more

We hired Daniel to help repair one of my tenants ceilings. While his quote was higher than some of the other quotes we received, he had the earliest availability to complete the job so we went with him. However, he refused to provide a formal quote and would only text me the total cost. Then once the job was done he demanded immediate payment. He called me and left a voicemail, then texted me, then sent an email all within 24 hours of the job completion demanding payment. I told him that the invoice he sent has been forwarded to the owners and they will issue payment promptly. He then responded with hostility that he's not a credit company and that he expects payment immediately upon completion and overall very unprofessional. We will never work with this company again. We pay above average price for an average job, but the whole interaction with Daniel was beyond unpleasant. read more

I am renovating the interior of my house and I needed a drywall company to get it ready for painting. I called Advanced Drywall and Daniel came out the next day to give me an estimate. I needed a lot of work done. This man knows his trade. His company's bid was competitive so I went with Advanced. He had technicians available to start my job in only two days. They installed lots of corner bead then matched the existing texture on my walls before doing a hand texture on all ceilings. It took a few days but they worked every day until it was completed. We were having our older home remodeled and the exterior walls insulated. We had 4" size holes drilled above and below the fire break every few feet to add the insulation. The actual stucco work we had done was great. The work was done over a year ago and I'm very happy with the labor. It's the owner that needs work. I had received a quote thru yelp and this company was the cheapest. The owner, at the time of the service, starts texting LONG (longer than my cell phone screen) and SEVERAL texts, ranting about how people always try to screw him over, says I never told him there was an air conditioning unit present, and mandated that I add $100 to the agreed amount. I just found my original request for a quote. The very first line I wrote says "I have an ac unit that I want removed, the wall repaired...". Just watch out.
