There's 0g of sugar added and no milk is in the making, it was delicious and worth the try! They have vegan options as well as the menu showed plant-based protein. I like drinks with either no or low sugar, if possible. This place has loaded teas with no sugar and ingredients to boost your energy. It sounded too good to be true. I was intrigued. I had a chat with the person behind the account. I found out later that she's the co-owner of the business with her husband. They are both extremely nice. Last Saturday, I decided to check the place out. I ordered online and it was easy. I paid and I got an estimated time that my drink would be ready. It generally takes fifteen minutes for them to make your drink. I ordered the mermaid loaded tea. It's blue and orange candy in liquid form. Perfect! I drove over to the store. The plaza was exceptionally busy at noon. Parking was atrocious. There's a restaurant with outdoor seating that was packed, which explains one reason why. There's an HSBC and even parking in front of that was booked solid. I ended up parking on the other side of this bank and made my way over. Note to self: Avoid dropping by on a Saturday. I found the store. It was fascinating seeing Chinese characters in the store name. I opened the door and a man welcomed me by my first name. It was such a nice gesture, making me feel like I matter as a customer. My drink looked so pretty on the counter. He was helping a woman who clearly had more questions than a decision. She just kept firing them at him. Between pauses, she looked at me taking photos. I am indifferent these days to folks who stare while I set up my photo shots. I just looked at her briefly and continued doing my thing. The interior is so cute. I especially loved seeing Grogu (baby Yoda) on a bookshelf. I have the same one, so I knew that it was a good sign. When the female woman left, I chatted with the co-owner. He asked me how I found out about this place, I let him know. He advised that his wife handles their Instagram account. It's a family-owned business and I love their concept of creating nutritious teas and shakes. I am far more interested in their loaded teas than shakes. They are cold, have zero to 25 calories per drink, are loaded with vitamins and healthy stuff, and have no sugar. Yay! Their shakes range from 200 to 240 calories. I thanked the man and walked out with my humongous drink. It's half a litre! It thankfully fits in my car's drink holder. It has been a while since I have sipped a drink that makes my tastebuds dance. I loved this mermaid drink. It was beautiful to look at, but I loved the slight sweetness with the tangy orange flavour. So good! It's like taking blue and orange Jolly Ranchers and melting them into a drink, but without the sugar or calories. This drink lasted my entire day running errands. I also didn't feel exhausted driving to Cambridge, while making stops in Mississauga and Markham. I am still trying to figure out when the cutoff is to order drinks online. The place closes at 6 pm. Yesterday, I placed an order online at 4:25 pm and my pickup time was for 9:15 am. Weird! The owners are so nice. I messaged them and asked if I could pick my peachy passion loaded tea this morning at 10:30 am. Yes! Sure enough, I got there at 10:30 am sharp and there were tons of parking spots. Quite the change compared to my first visit. Note to self: Head here in the morning on a weekday. The same man greeted me. I thanked him for my drink and happily headed out the door with my drink. I love the peach passion drink. It's so good. Goodbye, Starbucks iced peach green tea. I have found the perfect alternative without the sugar. I am a huge fan of the loaded teas that I have consumed so far. I feel like I need to try everyone one and see how I feel. I am grateful that this place reached out to me. (305)

Naturally I ordered an Acai Berry Bowl a Kiwi Kale Detox smoothie. This was an UberEats order from a little farther - it took 19 minutes to get to me so I was expecting a bit of meltage but not as much as what I got. I was pretty much having a thin berry soup. The smoothie base seemed very watered down. I wonder if it was because it was juice based instead of some sort of dairy (or alternative dairy) milk. Interestingly some of the toppings came on the bowl while others were on the side (the chia seed and ground flaxseed). It was okay. Not the best smoothie bowl I've had. As for the smoothie, it had a flavour I really wasn't expecting. If you've had green juice or green smoothies I think you kind of know what you're expecting - a lot of "green" or like chlorophyll/leafy taste with some sweetness from some sort of fruit. The listing of ingredients for this sounded like the typical formula. It just tasted very different than what I was expecting. I'm wondering if it was the protein? The protein is unflavoured but protein has it's own taste. This one was again, just okay. The regular size was more than enough for me. My boyfriend's main was the Boneless Chicken Wrap. His comment to me was that the chicken was incredibly dry and difficult to eat. My bite was actually alright, it tasted fine and wasn't that bad. He told me I stole the only bite that was good lol. There isn't a ton of selection in Toronto yet for health foods like this so I'd give this place another try. They have other locations throughout the city so I might hit up a different location.

A juice and smoothie bar that serves up frozen matcha!…read more I came here with one purpose only and it was to try their frozen matcha. The staff here were young but all very nice and welcoming. The frozen matcha itself was icy with really tiny ice pellets in it (wasn't as smooth as I'd like), but over I enjoyed the flavour. It was definitely extremely cold to drink since the ice pellets were larger than anticipated. The storefront is nice, selling lots of healthy snacks, whereas the back juice bar area had lots of seating. Overall, loved my very first frozen matcha here and could come back for more!

I stopped by The Hut Smoothie and Juice Bar on a Thurs mid morning. Upon entering the shop you walk past the many healthy grocery items on display where the cashier and coffee and smoothie bar is at the back. I decided to order a dragon fruit smoothie bowl (banana, dragon fruit, dates, and milk of choice topped with banana, strawberries, housemade granola, and natural peanut butter) as well as an Americano. My smoothie bowl and coffee were made at a reasonable time. The smoothie bowl was a good portion filled with the good stuff and I thoroughly enjoyed it (loved the housemade granola and the peanut butter!). My Americano was also made well. I sat inside enjoying my bowl. Overall, a nice addition to the midtown area for smoothies, coffee, and healthy snacks. Would return to try their smoothies!

It's hard finding a completely vegan place, let alone a nice juice bar. Energy Shack makes eating healthy easier. I haven't tried any of the programs yet, but in the future I would love to consult with a nutritionist. They offer free consultations. Staff is very friendly and I love seeing the staff working together as a team. There's lots of options to choose from in terms of the juices and I love the small details such as how information regarding the benefits of each is added next to the description of the ingredients. I really enjoyed the Japanese Fried Rice and my favorite drink was the Aloha Omega. It was refreshing and the taste of the mango & coconut cream was strong (which I loved!) I'm looking forward to try more in the future.

Carolyn, the owner, is a qualified dietitian/nutritionist, who would be guiding people to pursue healthy vegan eating as per their dietary needs. It could be for detoxification, weight-loss, thyroid etc etc. She is an enthusiastic professional. During the event, Carolyn could find time to speak to every guests present at the event and explain the concept, gave us some really good tips, which we would not know otherwise. We also tried a lot of samples of fresh juices and smoothies. The price of each item as compared to any other gourmet juice bars is competitive. She has lunch programs with delivery options and a lot of unique offerings. We tried almond milk, detox smoothie and some other healthy smoothies, everything was delicious! The lunch was all vegan nachos topped with chilli, cheese, sour-cream, salsa and some salad. She surely proved that healthy eating does not have to be boring or tasteless! She does complimentary counselling for her customers. I am definitely going back there!
