a plate of food on a table

Location/Service This place is located right inside Pacific Mall, 2nd floor, on the side of the traditional side. Plenty of parking available with available underground parking as well. The place is pretty easy to spot in the food court section - it's by the corner and it's usually filled with people lining up along with a long detailed menu. Staff is generally nice and they make the orders on the spot - so you know it's fresh and hot. Food Specialized in Hong Kong Street Snacks, they serve a variety of fried goods, dim sum and of course like their store name, fish balls. Their fish balls (or meat balls) can be spicy or non-spicy - and their spicy option is definitely hot! Each skewer has around 4 balls and if you order 1-2 skewers, definitely can fill you up as a snack. This place has been here at Pacific Mall since it's opened back in the 90's, so definitely a lot of nostalgia and familiarity with many people. I do appreciate how they keep the quality consistent and reasonable pricing with the rise in inflation.

Had to try their fish balls since it's their namesake. They asked if I wanted spicy, and I asked if they could make it a little spicy, she said yes. It was spicy. If you want a little spicy, just order it not spicy and add your own hot sauce. I like how this place has more options than others around it, like escargot, which was pretty good.

I'd give this place 6 stars if it was possible. For those who aren't asian(or not the right kind of Asian), eating fish balls might be weird but open your mind and your gullet for these tasty spherical delights. I primarily come to pacific mall just to go here. At $1.50 a stick(4 balls per stick), I've definitely bought 8 at a time. You can get them plain or with curry sauce and I recommend trying both. The sauce has a nice kick but not overwhelming.

Curry Fish Balls! Fake Shark Fin Soup! Minced Fish in Soup! Street Snacks and Comfort Food for a lot of people that growing up in Hong Kong. Fish Ball Place is located inside Heritage Place at Pacific Mall. Fish Ball $1.50 a skewer came with 5 fish balls was A-OK! You have a choice of spicy or non spicy version. Not as good as what I had when I was younger... but I found food tasted better in memories...

We all know Pacific Mall (@ThePacificMall), the largest indoor Chinese mall in North America, is synonymous with retail shops selling bubble tea, phone cases & accessories, fake designer bags, electronics & DVDs, and even rims! But I always crave fish balls when I am there. My go-to place has always been on the first floor. So you can imagine my shock when I initially discovered the space was replaced with a nail salon! But fear not, the aptly named Fish Ball Place was relocated to the second floor food court. It's a great place to stop by for an afternoon snack ranging from fish & beef balls to tripe & Taiwanese sausage!

Not the best fish ball place anymore, but still good. Has anybody else noticed that their sauce isn't as strong anymore?! I remember the days when their curry fish balls were actually spicy! Now, it tastes watered down and ..not so flavourful. Regardless, they're still better than most places and I still come here for the balls and tripe. Delicious enough and cheap with a variety of items to choose from. Whatever they did to their sauce, I hope they change it back to how it used to taste.

Its yummy street food inside a mall. What more can I say. There are many other food stalls in this part of p-mall so it can get quite busy especially on weekends. So when you are walking and trying to eat your fish balls it can be quite a challenge. Walking and bumping into people while trying to shove food in your mouth is harder than it sounds. The food is pretty good. The fish ball sauce is quite yummy and you can pretty much drizzle that sauce over anything and it will taste good.

. Curry Fish Balls ($1.50) --------- Quintessential Hong Kong Aphrodisiac. Well, as much as Oysters anyways. Want your Balls spicy or non-spicy? There's only one TRUE option, you know. An outdoor Fish Ball cart should be in order. Doesn't feel the same when it's indoors. Imagine along Queen st. Shops with a skewer... Dripping Curry Sauce everywhere{1} while shopping... That's how it's done. -------------- {1} HK-style is all about walking and snacking in unison. Hint: Do not mix that with Korean or Japanese culture.

Woot love this place for their beef and pork balls :) Not a fan of their fish balls though.

Delicious sauce and a pretty big selection of items for cheap :) I would only come here to have their fish balls and those kinds of things, I've bought the bubble tea sometimes because I was lazy to go to anther store and thought I would get thirsty, but I always end up throwing away like half of it :(

This is the place to go if you want to have anything on a stick. Like beef balls, fish balls, pork balls and everything intestine. Been at pmall since forever and still pretty much the same. Pretty much $1.50 - $3.00 for anything,.. good if you want a quick bite.

Love the fish ball and beef balls here. There's a nice kick to the curry sauce. Reminds me so much of Hong Kong.

Came here for a snack and had their beef balls with hot curry. As usual, it was really good.

Curry fish balls, snails, and tripe. Snails were served in a container vs skewers. All good and reasonably priced, less than $20.

Used to be a big fan when they were located on the ground floor. It tastes completely different after they moved to the upper level :(

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

They only sell high quality special coffee beans. On the wall shelves, you can see the special coffee tools they sell. The interior style really like a lab or a factory. Raw but stylish. I ordered a pot of hand-drip "Melona." The first sip wasn't particularly amazing. But it was very clean. Slowly, the clear fruity aromas of honeydew melon and cantaloupe emerged, not overpoweringly acidic, but rather a gentle, restrained layering. It's the kind of coffee you find yourself drinking the whole pot without even realizing it. The space inside is also a big plus. The front area displays various coffee beans and related products, and a whole wall of transparent glass allows you to see the roasting factory in operation behind it. And their product line is incredibly comprehensive: coffee beans, equipment, instant coffee, canned coffee, espresso, and even ice cream (The most complete I've ever seen) I didn't have time to try many beans today, but I'm already looking forward to the Lychee flavor I'll be ordering in a few weeks More suitable for coffee enthusiasts (especially pour-over lovers) Clean flavor with detail, not the overly pleasing type Perfect for sitting alone for a long time
