Stopped by again a couple times. Most recently because I was visiting Tycoon Tofu nearby for a yelp community week event. I've been seeing the 2 aunties work less hours lately. Instead, the daughter(s) have been manning the store which tells me that perhaps a changing of the guard is happening. Ordered up my usual curry fishball skewers and the taste is still perfect. Just tells me that the secret curry sauce recipe has been passed down already. The fishballs are nice and bouncy. Super tender inside. Can someone REALLY say they've tried all the best food P Mall has to offer if they've never gotten curry fishballs / honeycomb tripe / cuttlefish from this stall? An OG fish ball spot that has been open forever, run by a cute family that all work together here day and night. Tucked away on the second floor of Pacific Mall, you can find this place in the food court near the back where the seating area is. They have a huge photographed menu showing each item, so it's a great visual to have. You order at the counter and it comes out at lightning speed. You can pick if you want your fish balls on a stick (other items available too) spicy or not spicy. If it's spicy, they just dip it in the curry spice sauce which is so thick and delicious. You then get your order on the other side where you can add additional condiments like hoisin sweet sauce, hot sauce or chili oil. Love this place since it's been around forever and the taste and bounce of their fish balls have always been elite and delicious. A great snack to have while shopping at the mall. Location/Service This place is located right inside Pacific Mall, 2nd floor, on the side of the traditional side. Plenty of parking available with available underground parking as well. The place is pretty easy to spot in the food court section - it's by the corner and it's usually filled with people lining up along with a long detailed menu. Staff is generally nice and they make the orders on the spot - so you know it's fresh and hot. Food Specialized in Hong Kong Street Snacks, they serve a variety of fried goods, dim sum and of course like their store name, fish balls. Their fish balls (or meat balls) can be spicy or non-spicy - and their spicy option is definitely hot! Each skewer has around 4 balls and if you order 1-2 skewers, definitely can fill you up as a snack. This place has been here at Pacific Mall since it's opened back in the 90's, so definitely a lot of nostalgia and familiarity with many people. Had to try their fish balls since it's their namesake. They asked if I wanted spicy, and I asked if they could make it a little spicy, she said yes. It was spicy. If you want a little spicy, just order it not spicy and add your own hot sauce. I like how this place has more options than others around it, like escargot, which was pretty good. read more

Hubby bought me a handful of beef balls and pork balls on our sunday date day. Still my favorite place to go to and so affordable AND filling. We loved the beef balls smothered in their curry chilli oil and chilli sauce. SOOO good and has that good numbing flavor that keeps you wanting more. Usually the pork balls are good but the two pork balls that we ordered were so dry and hard. It wasn't that great but we ordered more beef balls afterwards and they were delicious. I will always get the beef balls. It never disappoints. It is always hot. Tasty. Filling. We've tried the red sausages and those were soooo delicious that bub and I were fighting for the last one. Fish Ball Place has been my go-to spot for a quick snack every time I visit Pacific Mall. A long time staple since the opening of Pacific Mall, Fish Ball Place has served countless amounts of meats on skewers drenched in their legendary curry sauce. A variety to choose from, whether it's beef balls, fish balls, tripe, etc. You can even buy their sauce in bottles! Growing up, their sauce was even spicier. However, over the years it seems their sauce has been on the milder side. I do wish they can go back to the recipe of what made them special. Overall, if you are at Pacific Mall, you definitely need to make a visit to Fish Ball Place to compliment your bubble tea and cellphone accessories fix. You're not getting the best curry in the world of course. However, for meat parts drenched in curry sauce for literally less than $3, you can't complain. read more

For those who aren't asian(or not the right kind of Asian), eating fish balls might be weird but open your mind and your gullet for these tasty spherical delights. I primarily come to pacific mall just to go here. At $1.50 a stick(4 balls per stick), I've definitely bought 8 at a time. You can get them plain or with curry sauce and I recommend trying both. Not the best fish ball place anymore, but still good. Has anybody else noticed that their sauce isn't as strong anymore?! I remember the days when their curry fish balls were actually spicy! Now, it tastes watered down and ..not so flavourful. Regardless, they're still better than most places and I still come here for the balls and tripe. Its yummy street food inside a mall. What more can I say. There are many other food stalls in this part of p-mall so it can get quite busy especially on weekends. So when you are walking and trying to eat your fish balls it can be quite a challenge. Walking and bumping into people while trying to shove food in your mouth is harder than it sounds. My favourites were the fish and squid balls and the prices were reasonable per stick. The beef balls, cuttle fish and tripe were good also. Hk style curry fish balls!!! This is my favourite snack whenever I go to hong kong. This store is located in Pacific mall on the 2nd level near the back. There are a wide variety of skewers you could choose from. Today I just got the fish balls and beef balls as a snack. They were already prepared on the side and dipped into the spicy curry sauce and served in a Styrofoam cup. It was a little messy eating it with all the sauce at the bottom. They were 1.50/skewer and the best thing is that taxes were included :) Its not the same as hong kong especially with the atmosphere but sure tones down the craving until my next trip to hong kong. read more

Curry Fish balls were so so, I prefer the ones from Food Jungle, a bubble tea shop in the food court by escalator Fish siu mai tasted more starchy than fishy, i wouldn't order again. But there are plenty of other street food choices on the menu, I can be motivated to go back again. read more

In all honesty I would give it half a star. The customer service there was literally the worst. Sometime the beef ball would taste good and sometime it wouldn't, so it is very inconsistent. They talk behind your back in cantonese (probably) and gives your stares. I would never go back there again. read more

I remember this family started out as a tiny convenience store in the south-east corner of the first floor of Pacific Mall. They were selling beef balls and fish balls right from there and there would always be a line up! I use to go there all the time (it was a must every time I went to the mall) cause their curry base was really good. I thought they had closed down until I discovered their current location (quite hidden if you don't go to the end of the second floor). I decided to get their beef balls and beef tripe and it was good but certainly something was missing. I'd still go there but not as often as I use to.
