This is a solid space to work if you don't need a classic table, as there are only about three tables that are solid work spots. I got the matcha mango bingsu which came out to just over $20 after tax and tip. What was most disappointing was how little of a matcha taste I got from it. The base was a very sweet milky taste, and I really wish they infused the matcha directly into the shave ice itself. The matcha was just drizzled on top with matcha powder, along with some whipped cream which only diluted the matcha taste further. On the other hand, I will say they are generous with the mango topping, which were very fresh and perfectly ripe. They gave one single mochi cube which I feel they should either give more of or none at all. The environment itself is very noisy. Not sure what it is about the walls but they do not absorb sound well at all. Voices echo and bounce off the walls like crazy, it sounds like everyone is yelling and talking over eachother in there. That aside, the space and decor has a cute vibe and the self-serve water/coffee bar is a nice added touch. If I ever come back here, it would either be out of convenience or to try their drinks/a different dessert. Unfortunately the bingsu falls short in my opinion especially for the price tag. The base should resemble more of the flavour rather than rely on toppings.

There are lots of seating inside, and I think it's a great place to get work done. The wifi is free and was very stable. They also have a small patio to sit outside on. Free parking behind the coffee shop as well. The only downside was the lack of outlets in the shop to charge your laptop. I sat beside one outlet but it didn't take my plug and kept coming out. It was also warmer than usual, so I wish the AC was turned higher because it was very hot inside the coffee shop. I ordered the matcha latte with oat milk. It was OK. It seemed more like a milk drink than a matcha drink based on the ratio. I would definitely come back and try out their desserts though. They look very good.

There are so many coffee shops in the neighbourhood so they should be aware of competition... but maybe people are paying for the price of staying and hanging out in a nice cafe. The top layer was sliced bananas, strawberries and whole blueberries. The granola and almond slivers added some crunchy and chewy textures to contrast the soft fruit. We ended up being the first customers of the day and sat in the seating area right in front of the counter. The bench and chair seating was surprisingly comfortable, and I really appreciated that there are power outlets running along the bench, which is perfect if you're planning to work or study for a while. The Wi-Fi was easy to connect to and worked reliably throughout the day. Parking was also convenient since there's plenty of free parking available. Service was friendly, and the staff seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. They were also great at making recommendations if you're unsure what to order. I ordered a large jasmine green milk tea with green tea jelly (my usual go-to), and it was made really well. I also tried their sweet potato fries, which came with a very smoky chipotle mayo. The portion size was quite good for $6.50. The food menu leans more toward light bites and finger foods--things like fries, pastries, and bagels--so it's better suited for snacks rather than a full meal. The washrooms were another pleasant surprise: clean, spacious, and stocked with thick toilet paper. There are several different seating options throughout the space, and they also offer a meeting room that can fit a larger group. From what I remember, it's about $100 for two hours, but any money spent on food or drinks can be deducted from that price. Overall, it was a good place to study. The environment stayed fairly quiet most of the day. The only time it got noticeably louder was around 2 p.m., when the place filled up.
