I called to learn more about the sample I received and the man that answered the call was knowledgeable and helpful. I drove from DC to Arnold to go and look at additional pieces of the tile. I had kept the original sample and when I got the actual floor I laid out a few pieces to check the color....seemed okay. After the floor was installed I noticed raised bumps on the entire floor and it looked dirty. The owner came out and tested the floor and said it was probably grout haze and suggested a cleaner. The cleaner didn't change the bumps or haze. Over the next 3 months we have been back and forth with the owner a few times, a rep even came by and said she couldn't see a problem despite the difference from the original sample to what I received that I showed her. She claimed she saw not problem. I contacted the owner via text and explained the experience and was never answered. I had suggested that the tile was possibly defective in my note. I was aware there might be a health problem in his family so I let a month go by and still never heard back. I called again this week and said I just wanted to find a solution even if it was other tile cleaners to try. He would never address/admit or take responsibility for the tile looking defective. Despite knowing I have an example of original sample and what was delivered. I think it is not good business to not stand by your product. I have since had another local company look at the sample and installed floor and they agree the tile is defective but Atlas has just dismissed the whole thing. Now I have a floor that is not what I purchased and was told it was not their problem. The other issue with the company is you do not stick with the same sales person through the selling process. This results in one person not taking responsibility for your purchase. I experienced just a bunch of people pointing fingers at each other and not taking responsibility for the sale to their customer. I would never recommend this company.

Experts Remodel were not the cheapest option, but they were the best. Eli E. came to our house and walked us through exactly what needed to be done - which corresponded with what we thought we needed to do. He also gave us some good advice: we wanted the. to do a slightly larger piece of work, and he said that it would be a waste since we'd have to rip it all out when we do an even larger renovation we have planned. I appreciate that very much - it's the sort of honesty that gets you repeat business. As for the work itself, it couldn't have been easier. The crew from Experts Remodel were polite, friendly, efficient and clean. The house was spotless when they left. The shower itself looks stunning (see the before and after photos). We highly recommend them and will definitely be working with them in the future, and will specifically request Eli as our project manager.

I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. Not only are their prices very competitive, but Flatpack offers a flat RATE quote so that the crew stays until the job is completed. I'm very pleased to have found this amazing company.

Updating review on this inconsistent company. After a great first experience, I hired them a 2nd…read moretime. Completely different story. They do not stand by their work. Everyone makes mistakes, (I had specifically requested 6 brackets be installed; was told that was overkill, 4 would be plenty; it wasn't) but you communicate with your customers and you fix them. This company was interested in doing neither. Within two days of completion, the shelves they built came crashing down, inflicting further damage on my wall, closet, and adjacent mirror that was knocked off. Of course, I reached out immediately, asking that someone come back to make the necessary repairs. (Mind you: I couldn't even access my closet during this time without making it worse, nor could I move my dresser to plug back in my nightstand light, which had been knocked out in the crash as well.) It took a week to even get a response, which was basically "Oh, I didn't see your email." (Note: Their full page invoice does not include company phone number on it, so I assumed email was their preferred contact. I'm sorry you were out of the office, but maybe your business could set an auto-response email at the very least?! And maybe when you return, check your in-box?? Or better yet, follow up to assess client satisfaction after project completion?) Marc informed me that he wanted the same worker to come out and handle the repair, but that he was out of town and would reach out to schedule me by Friday of that week. I asked that he respond by phone or text (wanting to get this resolved quickly). He didn't listen, and instead emailed again, declining my request to please just send whatever worker was available sooner. I followed up a week after that, only to understand I'd been forgotten about again. I tried a third time. Three weeks later (it has now been a month since shelves fell) --nothing!!! I gave up and had to hire another company to come fix everything, paying them to undo the job I paid Flatpack for, AND repair (i.e., remove damaged metal strip along closet, mud and tape drywall, re-paint after re-hanging shelves securely) the further damage they caused. Completely unprofessional company management. Lesson learned. I had at least three more days of work for these guys ready to go, but would never hire them again. If you want to feel unvalued as a customer by a company that doesn't stand by its work, this is the one.

They had quartz slabs in exactly the pattern my wife was looking for. They came to the house for a free estimate and, including the sink and demo and removal, it came in $1,000 less than any other estimate we got. When they came to install, they clearly knew what they were doing. The quartz is beautiful. The two men who came for the installation were great to deal with and respected our home. When they left, we were entirely happy with the installation. A few days later, we realized that we had a half wall across the kitchen that would look great with a quartz top. We called and asked if they had a remnant they could cut and polish for the 48" wall. We said we would pay for the piece. Two days later they called and said that the quartz was ready. My wife went to pick it up and they would not let her pay anything for the piece. They were just really nice guys. I would absolutely use Arkadia again and would recommend them to anyone for countertops. They are a class operation and really nice guys. Entirely satisfied.
