I then called David, the sales person and he said he knew nothing about this matter, which is not true since I had initially taken it up with him. David then said the owner would call me about a resolution but he never did. I called and left David a follow up message, asking him to call me but he ghosted me. In addition to the feces smelling carpet, the installation team got dirty handprints in many places on our newly painted walls.

I also want to note that we initially explored another flooring company on the island and had a very different experience. Unfortunately, that interaction felt unprofessional and included a tone that was dismissive and, at times, inappropriate. My parents used United States Marble and Granite when they upgraded their kitchen counter tops a…read morefew years ago, so I knew that they did quality work, however as a new home owner, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to afford them. I compared prices with Home Depot because I heard HD would be cheaper, and slab for slab, can say that U.S. Marble and granite offers a fair price. I picked out the granite after many stops to local sources, which Dan offered to accompany me on, but I often went on my own when I could squeeze in the time. He never lost patience with me or got annoyed by the amount of stones and sources I was requesting quotes from and encouraged me to take my time with the decision. Once I finally made up my mind, (I went with a gorgeous piece from Stone Action) they took less than a week to install the finished product, and what a fantastic job! They came out and took not only measurements, but made actual cut outs of the exact space the counter tops would occupy, including a curved section I had made a mock up of out of cardboard, which they then brought to the warehouse so I could place the pieces with them on the slab itself, ensuring the exact parts of the stones pattern would be where I wanted. Two men came on Saturday to install, and they were very professional, friendly, and did excellent work. The one necessary seam is almost imperceptible, and the complicated curve cut over my half wall base cabinets was done to perfection. It only took them a few hours, and I cannot stop smiling every time I go into my kitchen. They did excellent work and were very friendly throughout the whole process. I absolutely recommend them!

My wife and I stumbled upon United States Marble & Granite in Beltsville, MD by sheer luck. A…read moregranite wholesaler gave us an exclusive list of fabricators that were allowed to cut Vetrazzo, a recycled glass and concrete countertop. United States Marble & Granite was on this very short list. We stopped by USM&G's Beltsville, MD location and were greeted by Rich Errigo. Rich seemed to have an encyclopedic knowledge of everything counter top. If I had to guess, he's probably fabricated and installed at least thousand in his lifetime. Instead of trying to tell us why his company was the best and why we should work with him, he actually told us that we might not be fully informed about the potential shortcomings of concrete counters. (USM&G is family owned and was established in 1921 but we didn't learn about this until our second visit when we met Rich's sister, daughter, and 16 month old granddaughter). Rich recounted a previous customer's experience where her Vetrazzo counter was left stained by a sticky soda can after a party in their newly renovated kitchen. Rich went into much more detail but suggested that we go home with 2 chunks of Vetrazzo: a white hued and a darker Vetrazzo counter top my wife had gone absolutely gaga over. He suggested that we purposely try to stain the swatches to make sure we weren't making a costly mistake. My wife and I took the samples on a weekend getaway and ran several 'experiments' on both pieces of Vetrazzo. We discovered that the white hued concrete was, indeed, very porous and was stained easily by wine and coffee. However, with the darker Vetrazzo we could not visually detect any stains. So feeling as fully informed as possible, and actually using the scientific method, we decided to continue with our purchase. On our next visit at USM&G, Angela, Rich's sister, with Rich's granddaughter in tow, patiently went through every color of gray as we finally picked a Quartz composite for our main counters. Then Rich carefully listened to my wife's very demanding tastes when it came to kitchen sinks. She wanted a sink capable of holding our largest pots and pans. Rich picked out a really sharp looking rectangular sink that more than fit the bill. Instead of relying on cabinet measurements for this cavernous sink and risking a potential fiasco during installation, Rich took the time to come to our house to physically fit the sink beforehand. During this fitting he realized that because the sink was 10 inches deep that the cabinet hinges actually interfered with how he wanted to place the sink and cut the counter. Rich made adjustments for the hinges and faucets and carefully cut the template for the entire kitchen. If I do say so myself, I believe the entire countertop ensemble looks breathtaking and we are grateful for all of the Errigo family's insightful recommendations. However, this next part is probably the main reason why I'm taking the time to write this review. We chose to keep our existing stainless steel range. This Kitchen Aid gas range is 13 years old and although we think it is more than a decent looking stove, it has an unsightly rear vent cover that the owner's manual specifically states is necessary for proper ventilation. Rich asked if we were keeping said rear vent because he thought it would detract from the aesthetic of the counters and backsplash. He then said he thought he might be able to manufacture a 3 inch wide Quartz counter piece with several slats that would allow for ventilation and give the rear edge of the stove a much more polished look. Again, our counters look amazing, from the fun, colorful accent to the matching more conservative composite. My favorite part of the counters is actually that three inch piece of granite behind the stove that maybe no one else will ever notice. It's in these smallest of details that an expert sets themselves apart from the merely good. We hope that other people are as lucky as we were in finding this family owned gem of a company: United States Marble & Granite, Thank you for a terrific experience! K&D.

I had kept the original sample and when I got the actual floor I laid out a few pieces to check the color....seemed okay. After the floor was installed I noticed raised bumps on the entire floor and it looked dirty. The owner came out and tested the floor and said it was probably grout haze and suggested a cleaner. The cleaner didn't change the bumps or haze. Over the next 3 months we have been back and forth with the owner a few times, a rep even came by and said she couldn't see a problem despite the difference from the original sample to what I received that I showed her. She claimed she saw not problem. I contacted the owner via text and explained the experience and was never answered. I had suggested that the tile was possibly defective in my note. I was aware there might be a health problem in his family so I let a month go by and still never heard back. I called again this week and said I just wanted to find a solution even if it was other tile cleaners to try. He would never address/admit or take responsibility for the tile looking defective. Despite knowing I have an example of original sample and what was delivered. I think it is not good business to not stand by your product. I have since had another local company look at the sample and installed floor and they agree the tile is defective but Atlas has just dismissed the whole thing. Now I have a floor that is not what I purchased and was told it was not their problem. The other issue with the company is you do not stick with the same sales person through the selling process. This results in one person not taking responsibility for your purchase. I experienced just a bunch of people pointing fingers at each other and not taking responsibility for the sale to their customer. I would never recommend this company.

Then used a knife to remove it... which further destroyed it. They sent a drunk employee to install fixtures, who used a wrench and scratched our custom fixtures which we had waited 7 weeks to be produced. They mixed cement with a drill gun mixer in our bedroom, which coated everything in our bedroom with a thick layer of dust. They used two different color grouts for the tile in the shower. Zero management of employees. Do NOT use this company.
