Pretty sloppy work. Hired to replace drywall in my basement after a flood. They basically put the drywall up and just painted over it. Didn't bother to sand it down. I could have done a good portion of the work myself and it would look just as good.When we did final walk through after the work was completed, I pointed the areas of my concern. The response from Mervin was, "It wasn't in the contract to sand down the corners." I was completely shocked he would say that to a paying customer. As a professional, how do you walk away from a job feeling good about half done, sloppy work? I've never hired anyone that didn't sand down the corners to make it look neat and finished and it was never explicitly mentioned in those contracts; it was just a part of the drywall/painting job. Not to mention, my gray paint ended up on the white ceiling, which they didn't clean up. I could have done that decent of a job as well. I will go elsewhere the next time i need a contractor for renovations. read more

I was totally impressed with the work that was done in my kitchen which was completed over the summer. They gutted my kitchen and worked so well together in installing new plumbing, electrical, and walls. The backsplash work looks great as well the granite countertops. Hired Home Plus Constrators nearly 7 months ago in 2013. Experience: I. Contractor appeared professional, but does not show fiduciary to clients nor the honor of their business II. 9 proposed work items to be performed III. 6 out of 9 items were complete Issues: I. after 5 months contacted contractor to resolve an issue in relation to the incompetence from one the subcontractors and the response; since my warranty expired they're not obligated to correct the problem II. The deck that were stained; currently the paint/stain is peeling III. The plumbing that was stated in the contract was never complete or honored IV. The ceiling repair due to water of the plumbing issue that was stated in the contract was only repainted over; instead they repainted my ceiling in the kitchen and extended in the living room without my consent and to add you see roller marks on the ceiling; not professionally painted V. Upond request; did not recieve material invoices to witness cost of materials VI. Most of the contractors does not appear hold any licensed construction profession; random workers VII. Provided a short duration warranty which did not give time to test the exterior work under weather transformations; i.e. the deck issue - paint issue Conclusion: I.
