Provided an estimate Wednesday AM and we scheduled for Thursday 5/7. I wanted work completed by next Thursday 5/14) 8:00 AM his guys arrived and started removing rotted wood under sills (HOA request). We provided original paint. They painted all trim (not just updated sills) to ensure matching exterior. There was a hitch with the electrical work, but they were patient and worked with us to determine an acceptable solution. They fixed the drywall in the basement (then re-opened and fixed again after the electrical solution was determined). All was completed for the original estimate price. I would definitely hire again.

Now, our insurance company had hired a company to repair our hardwood kitchen floors, but after ripping the floor apart, and having us wait for weeks without any progress being made in repairing the floor and other repairs that were needed to be made as a result of the water damage, we contacted our insurance company, and asked if we could get our own contractors. After getting their approval, we contacted Marco of BR Flooring, and the rest is history! Our hardwood floors look superb! The contractors the insurance company had hired had made a true mess in our kitchen, and said they wanted to replace the entire hardwood floor throughout our first level; however, Marco and his team repaired the damaged area, sanded the floors, stained the floors, applied three coats of polyurethane, and finished the floor with a sealant! The floor looks better than it has ever looked before! We can't give Marco and his team enough credit for the superb job they did! We highly recommend BR Flooring--they are GREAT! Another thing, we had searched and searched for an individual/a company to replace our kitchen cabinet that was damaged as a result of the water damage, but we kept running into a brick wall. We spoke with at least five to six people who we thought could help, but time after time we ended up in the same situation. We only needed one cabinet, but individuals wanted to replace all of our kitchen cabinets. One company even suggested that we remodel the entire kitchen, even though the entire kitchen didn't need remodeling. Again, Marco and his team helped us! Marco and his team were able to get our custom-made cabinet, install it, install our granite countertop, and get everything in our kitchen back to its normal state. I don't know what we would have done if Marco and his team had not helped us. Everything looks great! We highly recommend BR Flooring/Marco and his team, because they really came through for us!

I'm guessing some of them got deported and others are hiding from immigration since every time we call they keep saying they can't talk and aren't in the state right now. I thought they were licensed and insured since they're an LLC and have a small showroom, but they must have some people that aren't here legally that work for them. And I'm sure that most of the people that do the actual labor and work are illegal since that's pretty common with construction and contractors and labor in general, since white people don't like to do that kind of work and are usually only owners and supervisors, and if they do then charge an arm and a leg. So I guess their whole labor force has either been deported or is in hiding. Also, Arturo made many mistakes when we sat down to revise our estimate. We had to go back and do it all over again since he didn't save his progress and also there were tons of misspelling. Either way, we have to look elsewhere now since they won't respond anymore.

Every deadline was met and the crew worked around our needs as we moved into the house. The work was done very professionally, and Mario helped us find designers and suppliers to complete the work. Christian and Mario diligently braved the coldest weather of the year and went the extra mile to ensure our unique requests were met. Mardeck's was the most reasonable of the four estimates we got. Instead of fixing the problem, their crew walked away, leaving me with a huge mess--darkish orange floors, sanding debris everywhere, orange-stained baseboards, furniture crammed on one side of the house, and even a $715 furniture moving fee. Then Rudy from Kustom Flooring stepped in and delivered everything they promised--and more. Rudy, along with his brother Jimmy and the crew, showed up every morning and worked tirelessly all day. They placed felt pads on our furniture, moved everything into our garage for a very reasonable fee, and then moved everything back afterward. They also protected our entire space: every entry, our 20-foot foyer, and every light fixture and wall hanging were covered with plastic to keep any sanding dust from escaping their dustless sanding systems. Once the dustless sanding was finished, Rudy and Jimmy walked us through our options for staining versus unstaining. We chose unstained floors, sealed with one coat of Bona Clear and two coats of Bona Traffic HD. By the time they were done, we had gorgeous floors that completely transformed our home. I expected to need a cleaning service once the job was finished, but Jimmy and his team handled everything. They cleaned our entire space--vacuuming even the curved staircase and upstairs hallway--so when they were done, there was no dust left behind. We've had quite a few projects on our home, and while most have been very positive, we've never had anyone like Jimmy--he takes real pride in his workmanship and genuinely cares about his clients. Because my husband's chronic illness has made us overlook some small issues around the house, Jimmy stepped in without being asked: he replaced a broken doorstop, repaired a damaged light fixture, and even changed the lightbulbs in our pantry. The difference between Jimmy's crew and the previous flooring company's workers is striking--not just in quality, but in attitude. They were happy to be there, played music, and always had big smiles. That culture clearly starts at the top, and it shows in how Kustom treats their employees. Kustom Flooring deserves a thousand stars.

The quality and value we received were outstanding. The cabinets we selected were half inch thick wood with dovetailed slow-close drawers, and because we selected a very large remnant piece of Granite, the price was great. I had heard horror story that the Taj Mahal quartzite is so hard to cut, and it would break without proper technology. Fortunately that did not happen to me. Every piece was cut and polished nicely. This team knows what they are doing but did not put a crazy price tag in the work they do. I have to mention the customer service is great with this team. Ada is a reliable, honest and responsive guy to work with. There was an incident that we found our water line leaky after the installation, which could happened during removal of the original granite but nobody was sure.
