Love this place; I've been coming here for many years, since it opened. It is one of my favorite…read morestores in the area, of any kind. So, the shopper's conundrum is why pay a little more at a store like this, rather than just buy on Amazon. I personally buy a ton of stuff on Amazon, and I don't generally like most stores. But this is one that I frequent, for these reasons: 1. It is a thoughtfully curated collection of items. The owner is a professionally trained chef (read about her on the store website), and the stock here is all practical, high quality, at a variety of price points, and sometimes just fun. 2. The customer service is fantastic. The people who work here are all experienced in the kitchen and they have good insights into how to select and use what they sell. You can have a long, discursive conversation about the merits of one $5 item compared to another. I have found them to be exceptional also at recommending gifts. 3. You can hold things and see them in person, as opposed to relying on marketing writing and often fake online reviews. 4. The vibe here is a delight. It is clean and organized, easy to find things. Back to customer service, the people here are fun to be around. For example, I was once trying to choose between thermometers, and the person helping me matter-of-factly mentioned that the one I was looking at came in either red or black. I choose red, and she lit up and said "Yay!!!" and clapped her hands. So funny..... Anyway, this is a great place, and I value all that they bring to this store.

They take customer feedback and product reviews into consideration when deciding which brands to carry. There's very little that they don't have (or have access to), from fun gadgets to major cookware. Are there items that can be purchased for less at Amazon or TJ Maxx? Of course, but, supporting and shopping local businesses is important to us.

Do not hire. Took full payment, left the job unfinished, and refused to pay subcontractor…read more We hired Lisa Green of Green Design Group through a referral for a full kitchen, bar, and bathroom cabinet renovation. The total contract was over $76,000, which we paid in full. What followed was a months-long nightmare. From the beginning their were red flags: (1) demanding full payment before cabinets are dropped off (2) not checking cabinets before delivery and maliciously holding back cabinets further delaying the project and (3) overall poor workmanship and couldn't get along with anyone on the job. Lisa engaged a subcontractor to perform painting and carpentry work at our home. When that subcontractor submitted his invoice for $7,400 -- for work that was done -- Lisa refused to pay. She's been ignoring his invoices and follow-up emails for months. As a result, we are now being held responsible for a bill we did not incur, and face the risk of a mechanic's lien on our home. Beyond the subcontractor situation, the job itself was never completed as contracted. Moldings and trim were left unpainted. We've also had ongoing defects -- failed drawer slides, cabinet issues by the dishwasher, door hinge problems -- that required additional time and money to fix. When the subcontractor tried to resolve this directly with Lisa, she sent her attorney. That tells you everything you need to know. If you are considering hiring Green Design Group, ask very carefully about how she manages her subcontractors and whether she will complete the job she quotes you. We wish we had. We are in the process of legal proceedings and working with the OCABR. Absolute NIGHTMARE!

Lisa Green made one visit to consult without measuring tape or any method of recording. She confirmed a return visit and we are now into 4 months renovation with no contact from her, whatsoever. My best advice would be to find another design group committed to doing the work.

There are not enough good things I can say about this company. My wife and I were looking to…read moreenhance our kitchen space on a feasible budget and decided upgrading the existing utilitarian quartz countertops with new designer quartz, waterfall island, and matching backsplash design was the best way to go. I had received a few quotes from other local contractors; I actually reached out to Pablo Marble and Granite last, however, following my initial conversation with Ben, it became immediately clear that we would prefer and trust to do business with them. I am an architectural Consultant and work with contractors on a nearly daily basis, and I have never been so thoroughly impressed with the responsiveness, care, and communication I received from Ben and this team. I took a quick trip to their Woburn site to look at the material; Ben gave me a great tour of the facility and their stock, and that same afternoon, Pablo was at our home in Boston surveying the countertops. I would say one of the most uniquely nice factors of working with them, was the consistent and prompt communication and updates from Ben. He would send me multiple progress pictures of the cuts throughout the following days to keep me posted on their work. It was a great way of keeping me excited and involved in the project, as well as demonstrating complete transparency. Additionally, when I would text Ben for any update or question, he would respond within minutes. One of the other reasons we chose to work with Pablo Marble and Granite was that they were the only contractor we spoke to who would include and help us remove the existing porcelain tile backsplash we had in the kitchen. We knew this would need to be removed before replacing, and no other outfit would handle that work as part of the scope. Ben had a gentleman at our home within 48 hours to remove the backsplash. Furthermore, Ben was very helpful providing us insight and consultation regarding additional services, such as plumbing and fair pricing for such. Lastly, Pablo and his teams were always extremely courteous and professional while executing the actual installations. They took great care with our home and did an exceptional job. Something that also struck me, was that they were consistently very punctual! I would receive updates with expected time of arrivals from Ben, and they never disappointed. As I mentioned, I would simply express that this was by and large one of the most fun and highly satisfying experiences we've ever had with any contractor. I would recommend anyone looking for new countertops or stonework to reach out to Ben before any other.

Install was quick and easy. Backsplash was cut from the same piece of granite and looks fantastic. I gave the guys an extra $100 to install the back and sidesplash on my bathroom vanity and they were happy to do it. My one problem was with the undermounted sink they provided. Along with squared edges, the base of the sink is flat so water pools rather than draining. This in turn leads to soap and water stains. I recommend shopping undermount sinks before agreeing to the one they'll provide.
