Melody's Cleaning Company - The company used something they should not have used in the ceramic sink....all chrome came off and left scratches....

Melody's Cleaning Company

This is the WORST cleaning company you can ever find in the world. They should be ashamed to call…read morethemselves professional cleaners. My former tenants' soon to be wife found and used this company for move-out cleaning and they literally did nothing. Honestly I do not know how the fiancee found or knew this company because they do not have their business listed anywhere, only a Facebook page with 0 reviews. They changed $850 and left the house with undusted blinds/baseboards/fan blades, scratched sinks (using cleaning stone where they are not supposed to), uncleaned shower glasses, kitchen cabinets left with grease/bugs/crumbs, uncleaned wall/stairs/doors with scuff marks (the house was beautifully pained white a year ago), and carpets dirty. They did not clean washer/dryer in the garage saying that was not included in the cost. Meanwhile the service is called move-out cleaning (meaning the entire house) and I contacted 3 different companies and they all quoted $100-200 cheaper than Melody's with everything in the garage included. Just for the record, my house is only 4 years old....I bought it brand new and lived in it for the first 3 years, then I had tenants for the last year. I left the house with all fresh paint and super clean. All the scuff marks on the wall, water spots in the shower and such are just one year old.. Just look at the pictures and you will see how much work they have done. I am not a professional cleaner but I can do 100 times better job than this "professional cleaning service." Melody the owner made an excuse saying she got kids....and what does that have to do with her not providing the work she is supposed to, for the money she charges people? This family run business is a complete scam. Update: in response to Barbara's review We never asked Barbara to move out early whatsoever, never gave the deadline. We found our new tenant to move in, AFTER we were told that she, her fiancé and another tennant would be completely moved out by 25th of July, not prior. And this was not a last call urgent cleaning as I was told the house would get professionally cleaned weeks prior. Melody specifically told my husband the move-out cleaning does not include anything in the garage, never told us she was directed not to do it by Barabara . But if that was the case, the responsibility to clean the garage and the items would be the tenants', so why was Barbara and her fiancé contesting $200 fee for stuff not being clean? I have no idea. FYI Barbara and her fiancé got their $200 despite all these facts, because dealing with Barbara and her fiancé was the typical landlords' nightmare. Yet here we are, Barbara attacking me personally and calling me malicious and distasteful for leaving a honest review on her friends' business. Barbara did not contact Melody to come back to redo the house. MY HUSBAND did. Both times my husband and new tenant talked to Melody, she did not know how to do some simple cleaning tasks. We mentioned magic erasers for scuff marks and bar keeper's friend for water spots, and she did not even know the products or use them. Every single cleaning company I got quotes from the area offered $100-$200 cheaper and of course the shower glass to be cleaned, which Melody REFUSED TO CLEAN even after she came back. Next day of my review posted, Barbara quickly wrote her review defending Melody's business. How did Barbara know I left a review on Melody's business that quickly, if she has absolutely nothing to do with this business on personal level? With the response from Barbara on yelp, and other interactions, I strongly suspect that Barbara and Melody know each other personally, and presented an invoice numbered 0001 to make us the landlord think that they paid the amount for a professional cleaning service required when moving out. The pictures speak the truth. We were all in awe how much work had not been done. It is not fair that I didn't see the work in person?? Trust me if I saw in person, I would have found even more problems....more than what the pics can show. The fact remains my house was not cleaned well at all. Does not matter if Barbara saw the carpet, cabinet, and shower glass being cleaned...Barbara can say anything about the business and me, but I know this was a sham by this company and Barbara to save a few hundred bucks screwing others in the process. Now I say that is malicious.

Horrible. They should be ashamed to call themselves professional cleaners. My kids could do a…read morebetter job. I had to scrub and wipe the house down after they supposedly went back a second time to fix the "cleaning" job they did. We went through 3 times and it was still filthy. Should have just saved the money and did it ourselves. Not worth a penny. Food stains were still on the floors and the floors, base boards, windows and window sills we're disgusting. Preposterous!!

They do not answer the phone and only text. This made it difficult to confirm my appt and to find out what was going on when the cleaner was late.

My family and I were in need of a move out cleaning service. Our property management had an…read moreapproved list of cleaning companies and for some reason we chose this one. The initial set up for an appointment was a breeze, the owner communicated with me. Two days before cleaning day the owner txt that she would be there at 8 am, then the night before cleaning day she said they would arrive between 8:20 am-9:00 am. Which I was fine with because I have to drop my kid to school anyways, I got to the house at 8:15 am and waited in my car for them to arrive. I txt them at 8:05 am letting them know that they can park in our assigned parking stall that's right in front of the house so they don't have to park in guest parking that's a little further away. This is where it went downhill. I called the owner at 9:14 am to ask if they needed help finding the place but she said no they're 5 minutes away. The cleaner did not show up til 9:51 am. I was furious! I had a scheduled appointment to go to at 9:30 which I missed because I had to wait for them to arrive! When the cleaner got out of the car I asked him why he was late he was supposed to be here between 8:20 - 9:00 am. His response was "Sorry I'm just employee they tell me to come clean and I come! You can talk to my boss!" He didn't speak very good English which I didn't mind but I did mind that he was late and his excuse was "I'm just an employee!" Smh I then called the owner to ask why he showed up late! She said that she doesn't know, when we last talked they were both together and the owner asked the employee if he wanted her to show him where the house was but the employee refused. She then tells me "I'm sorry but idk where he went after he left me, maybe he go somewhere before your house." I was so irritated at her response I told her that it was very unprofessional of them to conduct business like this! Do not tell a customer you're gonna show up at a certain time and not show up, and when you do show up have a lame ass excuse! I also asked her where is the other cleaners? She said "oh the other lady is late she will come soon!" Then employee cleaning the house tells me "it's ok I clean by myself it'll be fast no more than 5 hrs!" At this point I'm still talking to the owner and ask for a discount for the inconvenience they've caused me, she said I can take off the taxes it's about $60. I said I guess that's fine. But you should really talk to your employees about showing up on time. She assured me that the place will be cleaned! That they know what the property management likes to see clean. And that they've never had any complaints from our property management before so I shouldn't worry. I said ok if you say so and hung up. I left to go about my day and came back around 4:15 pm and the cleaner was still cleaning. My husband came from work and got to the house at 4:30 pm and asked the cleaner what time he would be done and he told my husband about and hour to hour half. When everything was over and done with we came back to the house and check on it. The house was not DEEP CLEANED! It was surfaced cleaned, just what the eye sees from a glance was cleaned. I will say though that we are not dirty people but we did rent the house for 6 years and prior to that the previous tenant was there for more than 10 years. All in all I would not use this cleaning service again. Maybe others will have a different and better experience. But as for me this will be the 1st and last time!

I remembered what the unit looked and smelled like when I moved in one year ago and Okihime matched it and the realtor knew that. The value was above reproach. Some cleaning companies want to see your mess, square footage, pictures, and don't want to waste their time meeting you. Okihime was the exact opposite. They beat out all competitors and I interviewed a lot of cleaners. They were eager for my business, they worked around my schedule. They didn't pussyfoot around square footage or request to see pictures. They didn't need a credit card to hold a date. They were straight-forward and honest. I pray that I do not need to move ever again as it is the most stressful thing in the world, but if I ever need to move or refer someone to get their places cleaned for a moving, I will always remember and refer them to Okihime Cleaning Services. Oh yes, one more thing, they were early for their appointment and I was on time. Which never happens with cleaners. If you want a company with integrity, honesty, a commitment for excellence, trust me and go with Okihime. If you choose to go with another company and it doesn't go as well as you expected, remember this review. The pictures speak for themselves. As far as the other reviews go that give less than 5-stars? The owners go out of their way to make things right. These customers hold resentment and are probably going through a rough patch in their lives. As I said before, moving is super stressful. Show some grace. I am so thankful for the work Okihime did on my place to have my unit. From start to finish. I put my project up. They contacted me within a few minutes. We talked. Set a date within 48 hours. And I passed final inspection. They worked hard and for their hard worked, I also provided optional gratuity. When you realize just how much hidden spots a professional cleaner can help you clean up to make your place pass an inspection, you'll be so grateful. Okihime is absolutely a life save. Thank you so much!!!! The value was amazing too. Budget friendly for Hawaii people.
