None of this ever never happened and we had to constantly remind them to do things the way that we had asked. There was one instance where the cleaning and staging were so bad, that we had to bring in a 2nd cleaner who worked alongside me to set things up the correct way, all within a very short window between guests. I eventually discovered that "VacayClean" does not actually do any of the work. They only subcontract other cleaners from other cleaning companies to come in and do the work for them! This realization explained why it was actually "MaidinOahu" doing the work when we called. "MaidnOahu" gave us a very professional response and a full refund for this day, which we were thoroughly pleased with. We agreed to continue to work with them after they agreed that they had not held up their end of the deal. Then, when we contacted VacayClean to book the next quarter's cleanings, we were told that they had no availability. We felt that this was obvious retaliation since their subcontracted cleaners had eaten the costs, leaving us without a vetted cleaning service for our upcoming bookings. This was perhaps the most unprofessional aspect of this entire experience. Overall, the first couple of cleanings were good, but none of the stagings that we had agreed upon were. Eventually, and with constant coaching, they came closer to the standard that they themselves had promised, but it was still nothing like the quality and reliability we had been promised by an extremely convincing sales pitch. Summary: There are an infinite number of good cleaning services in Waikiki. VacayClean is not one of these services since they are a cleaning service booking agency. We did not receive the services promised. I do not understand any of these 5 star comments, perhaps they are employees or friends since this was absolutely not the same experience that we had.

Jason is extremely responsive, and he even made suggestions on what home items we could use to save on costs in the long run, e.g. sturdy stone bath "rugs" that we can replace our white cotton ones with since ours get frayed and require constant cleaning, Citrus Magic Fallon showed us areas of the house that the last cleaner completely missed, e.g. parts of the stove under the burner grate, around the stove knobs, etc, and it was lovely to converse with them to learn some of their cleaning secrets/products. They are easy to work with and so far other reviews echo the same sentiments. We learned that they also do outdoor power washing services for the outside of the home, which we plan to do sometime soon. They can even do some outdoor cleaning if we need those services. My tenant hired this company for a move-out cleaning based on the existing 5-star Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, the cleaning was far below what would reasonably be expected for a move-out clean. During my inspection the day after cleaning, numerous areas had either been missed entirely or cleaned inadequately, including the oven, refrigerator (inside surrounding areas), stove, mirrors, faucets, ceiling fans, windows, window screens, floors, and other details. Because the apartment was not ready for the next tenant, an additional $250 in cleaning had to be arranged and deducted from the tenant's security deposit after she paid this company $400 plus a tip for a very small 2 bedroom apartment. This was my tenants first apartment and first experience hiring a professional cleaner so she didn't think she needed to inspect the work before sending the payment. The really disappointing part wasn't just the quality of the cleaning--it was how the company handled the situation. I called immediately while I was still at the property to give them the opportunity to return and correct the work. After explaining the issues, the person who answered the phone ended the call with what seemed like a sudden hang up. My subsequent calls went unanswered. I later received a text saying the owner would contact me, but no one ever did. I really tried to give them a chance to return. The tenant then emailed the company with a detailed list of the deficiencies, photos documenting the condition, and a request for reimbursement of the additional $250 she incurred. As of this review, there has been no resolution, they never replied to her. Mistakes happen, and no cleaning is perfect. What matters is whether a company stands behind its work when given the opportunity to make it right. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. If the company reaches out, takes responsibility, and reimburses my former tenant for the additional cleaning costs, I would be happy to update this review.

We documented everything just in case. Their actual cleaning was decent, but I would never hire them again because they blamed and harassed us for their own mistake. For example: sinks scrubbed clean but counters left with grime and dust all over them. The carpet cleaning was fine but nothing special. Like the regular cleaning it's superficial and not very thorough (corners where carpet meets the baseboards don't get cleaned well). Found the price to be reasonable for what was done, so I didn't feel taken advantage of. If you're looking for a quick clean that will probably pass your rental inspection they're fine. But if you're looking to actually live in the place being cleaned, maybe look elsewhere.

On the day of the cleaning, which is the day I am writing this review, Bermie and his team (who I later found to be his wife and brother in law) arrived on time and had all their equipment ready. Bermie informed me they'll take about 3 hours, but it was much closer to 4 (started 4PM and finished nearly at 8PM - this is NOT a bad thing). All I can say is Bermie and his team did so well at cleaning my rental apartment that I was actually thinking to myself, "man, I should move back in!" Do Not Book This Cleaning Service - Unprofessional, Incomplete Work, and Zero Accountability…read more I hired this company for a move-out cleaning of my 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment at a quoted rate of $550. From the start, their lack of professionalism was apparent. 1. Late Arrival & Excuses: They were scheduled to arrive at 8:30 AM but only notified me at the exact time that they'd be late due to cleaning another place late the night before. They didn't show up until 10 AM, despite knowing I had taken time off work to be there. When I asked about compensation for the inconvenience, they suddenly mentioned waiving a "last-minute booking fee" - a charge I was never informed about until it was convenient for them. 2. Incomplete & Poor Cleaning: When I returned at 3 PM, the apartment was not properly cleaned despite being completely empty. Some of the worst issues included: * Kitchen drawers left untouched, still containing items. * Guest bathroom tub & washer/dryer covered in hair and dust. * Master shower left soaking wet with no attempt to dry it. * Floors still dirty--my feet were black just from walking around. * Sliding doors, window sills, and vents still filled with dirt and debris. * Microwave left filthy with chunks of food, including a piece of pizza. * Washer & dryer surfaces untouched--covered in dust and grime. 3. False Promises & Ghosting: * I still paid them $550 in cash plus a $50 tip, trusting their promise to return Monday at 9:30 AM for a touch-up. * Over the weekend, I found even more areas they had missed and messaged the owner. Instead of taking accountability, she responded with excuses and an attitude, claiming I was "overreacting." * On Monday morning, I texted two hours before the appointment with a list of areas needing attention. No response. * 9:50 AM: Texted again--no response. * Called twice--no answer. * They never showed up, never responded, and completely ghosted me. 4. Scam-Level Service & Unprofessionalism: This business is not experienced, not professional, and absolutely not worth your money. The owner is rude, dismissive, and unaccountable. If you want to waste your time and money on a half-done cleaning job with horrible customer service, then book them. Otherwise, stay far away. I paid $600 for nothing and had to clean my apartment myself after they left. This was a complete scam. Avoid at all costs. THIS WAS NOT A POST CONSTRUCTION CLEAN. There was minor droplets of paint on the floor that they agreed to clean. if they felt that cleaning the paint would be too much to cover and cause them to neglect other areas that were necessary to be clean for a move out clean, they should have communicated that to me ahead of time and then I would've agreed or disagree to either pay more or for them to not clean up the paint, instead that was not communicated. It was only stated after I expressed that I was dissatisfied with the work that they did . Mind you there was still paint on the floor afterwards anyway that I had to clean myself including the other areas they missed. again every time I found a fault in their work they justified it with whatever excuse that they could find. after posting this review from the owner basically telling me that she was going to give me a partial refund, but then she went on yelp and saw this review. after going back-and-forth, I explained to her that it's clear we are never going to see eye and if she can give me a half refund, she said that she did not feel that I deserved half a refund so I told her OK send me whatever the partial refund is that you were going to send and we can be done with this. She then LAUGHED AT MY MESSAGE and never refunded me. They were even sent videos and pictures of the home prior to showing up. Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of photos there was much more missed but that's because I didn't plan on making a review if they came and fixed everything. None of this is malicious it's just to warn others. I paid them and TIPPED them in good faith and ended up getting burned in the end.
