The seller of my unit hired this company for the move-out cleaning, but unfortunately the quality was so poor that I now have to hire another service to do it properly. Areas that were supposed to be cleaned were left untouched or only half-done. Behind and around the appliances there was still grease, dust, and crumbs. The stove knobs, filter, and fridge had visible grime. Bathroom fixtures, bathtub, and toilet still had stains, and even details like handles, corners, and outlet covers were left dirty. This was supposed to be a move-out cleaning, but it felt more like a light wipe-down. Very disappointing, and now I'm paying again for the work that should have been done right the first time. read more

Wish I had the same good experience as everyone else but I didn't. This is the third cleaning company I've used and it has been the most disappointing. They are easy to book online and have very reasonable pricing. They call after booking to confirm details and explain the process. They showed up on time. Booked them for a move out cleaning to get the max security deposit back. However, on the day of cleaning, the team I had was not very professional. The woman went around as we were showing them things that needed extra focus on and she seemed distracted looking around asking if we were going to keep some items we left behind and if they can have it which was a little weird. So of course we gave them some things and told them no to other things. The cleaning was quick. Maybe a little too quick. When the cleaning was done, we walked through and it seemed nice. They left some things we accidentally forgot that they found in a neat pile on the side. After they left, we gave every cleaner a big tip. We did purposefully left behind a personalized shot glass, a thank you card, and the landlord's original expensive shower head in the unit to retrieve when they were done cleaning. We put it neatly in a shelf. Those were all gone when we got back. When we went back to change out the shower head that afternoon, we couldn't find it. We asked if they took it and they said they "threw it away". They didn't call us to ask if they could. They didn't put it in the neat pile of items they found that we accidentally left behind. They just said they "threw it away." We looked around and saw streaks that were left behind too, like they did a quick and messy job without much care. The streaks don't pop up until after everything dried a few hours later. So it may look good at the time of walk through but when it dries, it doesn't look great. When we provided feedback to the company, the woman said she understands and was sorry but didn't offer any other reimbursements. I told her the original shower head cost over $100 and if she could help cover some cost since it will be take out of my security deposit and she didn't really respond much but tried to hang up real quick. To summarize, this team was very disappointing because they kept asking what they can take home and keep, probably took or threw away things without asking, and did a rushed unsatisfactory job. You pay for what you get. I'd rather spend the extra money on someone that will not take my things and take their time doing a good job. read more

To avoid frustration and inconvenience, do not book with Maid in Oahu. After spending 3 hours in our unit, the 3 ladies failed to provide services that were worth the $740 we were charged. Shower was left with conditioner drips/soap scum, baseboards were found dirty and dusty in both the bathroom and kitchen, the bathroom floor was not swept or mopped, the fridge and ovens still had left over food and dust that I was able to clean off with my finger. Complete lack of attention to detail. During the first inspection after their service was "complete" I had to repeatedly show them the areas they so obviously missed. I even had to ask them for their cleaning wipes and began scrubbing myself to give them an example of how they should clean. I reported our dissatisfaction with their customer service and they were forced to come back. They spent an additional 2 hours at our unit which interrupted the carpet cleaning service we booked with their sister company. So much of my time and theirs was wasted. Book with caution. read more

*Update 3/17/23* Laharnie reached out and responded to my voicemail and emails. We scheduled a day for the cleaners to come back and re-clean. I really appreciated that they sent me the same "prep" instructions they sent my tenant. My tenant failed to follow instructions to remove light fixture covers and to move appliances. Angel, the cleaner and her team took photos before they cleaned and shared it with me. My tenants left the place a huge mess (brand new home when they moved in) and they cleaned up A LOT! However, the floors were the biggest thing and I showed them the test areas I cleaned with a sponge, Dawn & Cleaning vinegar. I saw them re-mopping, but didn't really scrub. My mom & I came back to scrub the floors ourselves and with little effort, the dirt came out. I really appreciate the A-Team and Lahranie's professionalism and efforts to reclean. Pros: Amai was quick and responsive. Appointment was easy to be made. I actually booked them on accident thinking they were the previous cleaners I used due to the name being so similar. CONS: I knew from the initial interaction over the phone, the maid's attitude was condescending and she had an unfriendly tone. She asked me if I would be staying while I was cleaning (for whatever reasons) and I said I'd be busy moving boxes while she worked. She began at 9am and I received a call at around 1230 pm that she would begin mopping. I return back and the girl was chillin on her phone. I began the walk through as stated in the agreement, and noticed multiple dirt marks that she "missed". It was not in hidden areas and it was brightly lit. It was obvious she did a half a** job. She also claimed she had tried to clean it multiple times. I walked up to it (while wearing socks), scrubbed it with my socks on my feet, and the dirt comes off without any hesitation whatsoever. Personally, I've had cleaners with much more reliable equipment that could remove simple dirt off the floors. There were some stickers on the ground due to my toddlers which she also claimed she scrubbed "multiple times". I use my own sponge with a tad of Clorox spray and it comes of within seconds. I could see if she accidentally missed it, but it was obvious she just didn't do a proper job to begin with. I asked her to remop the floor and she rudely says, "the work you're asking for requires another hour of service" and that I'd have to pay. I was upset because being charged $365 for a service, it should be done the right way the first time, not at an extra cost. Perhaps she should mopped better the first time. I don't know what she was doing in there for 4 hours but she also missed the bathroom cabinets, and kitchen drawers, which I had to "remind" her about. When I stated I was calling her manager, she runs outside of my apartment and calls her manager playing the victim. LOL She waved her hands in my face and was like "I'm not trying to be rude". This girl needs to be trained on customer service. Just because you're not "trying" to be rude, doesn't mean that you're not coming across that way. read more

Kimmy was a 1-person and cleaned my 600 sq ft 1-bed unit very thoroughly. Took time to clean all areas. Never felt she tried to hurry up and leave. Kimmy made sure to point out water mineral stain area that was better than pre-clean but not completely gone. She explained how she cleaned, attempted multiple times, and made sure I see the end result. I appreciate the openness and not try to hide it. I hired the deep cleaning service for my apartment on 11/25/2024. I'd been overwhelmed with keeping up with house cleaning after recovering from a severe illness and I finally reached out for professional help--I'm so glad I did! The actual cleaning service was thorough and the lead cleaner was quick in communicating with me, but I docked off a star because the they left our doors open after instructions to lock it. Our security door wasn't closed fully. Thankfully we had no valuables in our apartment, but it was a liability. The representatives on the phone were not helpful. I docked off another star for this. There were a lot of inconsistencies in what was said on the phone. I called 24 hours before the day of service to switch cards to charge the payment. I spoke to 2 different reps to confirm the new card, and they reassured me the old one wouldn't post the payment. I checked my bank statement and the full payment was posted on the card I asked to not charge. I'm usually a very understanding person and try to give the benefit of the doubt. But it was very upsetting. Would probably hire from another company. It really should be 2 stars, but I'm giving 3 only because the actual cleaning was thorough. read more

was having a pretty rough week so i decided to hire some extra help around the house (clean space = clean mind!!) got so blessed with the sweetest duo-- chalei & jenna made my day!! great attitudes and great at what they do-- didn't even realize my sink could shine like that lol. to be honest i expected older ladies not girls my age haha but i actually like it since they definitely have more of an understanding for what you need + are able to move heavier things and clean it-- the company told me to clear all surfaces so i kinda went above and beyond assuming the cleaners might be older and not willing or able to clean covered corners. luckily, jenna and chalei paid attention to that and made sure to get in every crevice. the company also mentioned that the cleaners prefer if you aren't there, but when i asked chalei responded "girl you don't have to ask permission to be in your own hale!" even after all their work they'll ask you if you want them to do anything else they might have missed and they did not mind at all-- they were happy to help. so sweet and kind and would highly recommend these two to anyone. please remember that these are real people and treat them to some lunch too lol, they were so appreciative and so genuine and i cant say enough good things about 'em :) !! thank you thank you! read more

They let me know about 15 minutes before they finished to give me time to come to the place to inspect their work before they leave. If something wasn't up to standards, they would clean it again. First and foremost I'll start with the bad with is only one thing, they don't specifically mention that with more than one person the time isn't 4 hours as said in the checkout I would suggest adding that as the fine print or putting somewhere on the website since I was very confused why the cleaners didn't stay the full 4 hours. Now on to the good things my cleaners were Mary Wilson, Jenna Kuramoto, and Chalei Peters. All of them went above and beyond with what they could do within the time limit everything's is clean and spotless. Mary was very professional, understanding and helpful with everything, Jenna all business in the best possible way just kept cleaning and asked if I wanted to keep certain things that I would have thrown away, last but definitely not least Chalei she was th sweetest, most kind person I've met amazing work on the kitchen totally transformed how it looked prior very friendly and always smiling while cleaning honestly made me smile and was a great experience. The employees handling the booking were great at explaining all of their services and protocols and the cleaning team were so personable and thorough with their services. They managed to make my rental sparkle and shine at a level I didn't think was possible....the bathroom shower and kitchen cabinets looked brand new! I also booked the deep cleaning for the carpet and I am glad I paid the extra for this service - the person who did my carpet cleaning managed to get out the stains I didn't think would be possible to remove......the carpet was a level of fluffy I didn't think could ever be achieved since I have never once cleaned it for all of my time renting there! I was also impressed at how promptly he arrived - I was skeptical about the two hour window of arrival but he got there right at the beginning of the scheduled time frame.
