Have used the Maids for years. The team members may change but the team always does a good job. Happy with their service.

Great service and always on time. They can accommodate tiny requests and are very quick and thorough. Kinda pricey but worth it because i have lower back issues. read more

We needed housecleaning right away, and Mari was able to schedule us within 24 hours. The four ladies who cleaned were friendly, fast, thorough, and efficient. While it wasn't cheap, we were given a discount, and it was well worth the money. Couldn't be happier with the ability to get to us so quickly, and the results. We'll definitely be using them again. read more

Disappointed, lack of service and follow up. Scheduled a on-site estimate for deep cleaning. A few hours before the appointment time, recd text they could not make it. Rescheduled for later that day; again, a few hrs before appt recd text they could not make it. Texted them the following day for follow up. Set appt time which held; however we never recd an estimate which they said we would get the following morning - it has now been 5 days. We will not pursue as they obviously do not need the business. Very poor service. read more

Honest and dependable. I have had the same team for years, and they do a great job of keeping my home clean.

I've used "The Maids" twice now to do a "spring cleaning" on my condo, and my experience between the first and second times, could not have been more different. I first contracted "The Maids" service in 2023. It was not my first time using a cleaning service, but I knew nothing about them. If I remember correctly, I'd seen a van with their logo, and thought that I'd one day give them a try. Well, that first time was absolutely spectacular. They arrived early, and literally cleaned my condo from top to bottom. I mean, the place was sparkling! I was so impressed with the job they'd done, I called them afterward to add a generous tip to the fee they'd charged. I was pleased, and recommended them to friends every chance I got. For the last two years, I'd used another service, simply because they were friends of one of my neighbors, and she'd asked me to support them. This year, they were booked solid for weeks, so I gladly called "The Maids" again. Well, in the two years since I'd first used them, their fee had gone up dramatically, but that wasn't an issue, as, given my previous experience, I believed it would be worth it. So. I made the appointment, and as promised they texted me the day before, to let me know the window of time in which they'd be arriving. However, on said day, I got a call from one of the cleaners telling me that they were running behind and would be a few minutes late. That actually turned out to be a half an hour later than the scheduled time, but, since I'd allotted several hours for them to complete their work, that was not an issue. When they arrived, they got to work immediately, and I got out of their way. I have a two bedroom, two bath unit, so I wrangled my two cats into the second bedroom, and told them to let me know when they were finished with the rest of the unit, and I'd move the cats to the other room. After about an hour and fifteen minutes or so, they knocked to let me know that they were ready to clean the second bedroom, so I moved the cats, and let them get to work. Strangely, only a few minutes passed before they informed me that they were done. I quickly did a superficial inspection (my mistake), since I thought I already knew what the quality of their cleaning would be. They let me know what the final charge would be, and they left. And then I started to really inspect the job they did. The place was mostly clean, but it was nowhere near the brilliant job the previous team who'd cleaned my unit two years prior. But that wasn't the real problem. I have glass shower doors on the bathtub in my second bathroom, and when I took a good look at them, there was soap and hard water residue all along the bottom of both doors. It was apparent that the young woman who cleaned those doors, couldn't be bothered to bend down to clean the bottom of the glass. The rest of the surfaces in the bathroom looked as if the bare minimum effort had been given to cleaning them. I took note of that, and went into the second bedroom. And it didn't look like they'd done much at all. They'd vacuumed. I know that because I heard it running. But there was dust everywhere. Clearly (in their haste to leave?), they'd simply quickly wiped off the most visible surfaces, and made no effort to clean any further. I have a desk with computer equipment on it and a bookshelf/ display case (among other things) in that room, and the previous crew, had cleaned everything. It was spotless. The results this time couldn't compare. You wouldn't have believed that the same company did this job. I'm not exaggerating when I say that, on my worst day, I would have done a more thorough job. And seeing the results I got, for the money I paid, I probably should have. The charitable interpretation is that they were already running behind in their schedule because of their earlier delay, so I got the short shrift. The other interpretation is that they either didn't care to make a good effort, or just aren't good at their jobs. Suffice it to say, I will not be using "The Maids" again. read more

I received several quotes for this "re-clean" of a Move Out cleaning by cleaners that my tenants hired. Its so difficult to find reliable and thorough cleaners- but the cleaners that the tenants hired (found on Yelp) left the unit as of they didnt clean at all- see "Before photos". I'm so glad to have found Dan and his crew. They were prompt, great communicators, and they got our apartment actually clean, and was mindful of the time they took to get everything cleaned and done right. I apppreciate them so much. They service properties from Alewa to Hawaii Kai only. Wish I could have Dan & his crew for my other properties, but since I can't- I'd rather not keep them a secret and share them with everyone looking for a good cleaner! read more

My MIL was having guests staying over at her house. Three Maids came and did great work cleaning a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen. We asked them to also clean the jalousie windows and some plantation shutters. They finished the work in 2 hours. Owner even gave us a discount since he and we wanted to schedule our cleaning on a day when he wanted to fill in some "pukas" in the schedule. read more

This is a business catering to vacation rentals not locals, terrible customer service. Waste of time and money. Their response is the classic yelp excuse we reviewed our records and we did not have customer by your name and you must be talking about someone else. I am not the only one leaving these comments, look at the other one star reviews and you will see the pattern. read more

I needed to book a Move out cleaning service & I was recommended this company by a friend. First impression, the guy on the phone was okay. He was quick to respond to my questions. I was able to book a date rather quickly. I ended up moving out of my apartment sooner, so called again and he was able to change my cleaning date to accommodate me, which was nice. Second time speaking to him, he seemed a lot friendlier. I booked for 2-3 o'clock. The maids arrived maybe around 3:30pm. I was waiting around but no big deal.. They were nice and did a great job with cleaning. Very reasonable price as well. They charged a reasonable amount as well. read more

The team at "The Maids" Honolulu was great. I would recommend their services to anyone on the Island without hesitation. The operations team called to confirm services and even worked with us last minute when a kitchen flood interrupted our first scheduled cleaning. They worked with us to find a reasonable plan and price that fit our budget. The cleaners were timely, friendly, and efficient. Our home is a rental that we just moved into, and we wanted to ensure it was clean and healthy for our family. They cleaned all surfaces as promised and left the house in tip-top condition. Mahalo to "The Maids" for helping us live healthy and clean! read more

Nikki/Nicole did a truly amazing job. She was great to work with, communicated well, and went above and beyond to make sure I was more than satisfied. 100% would go back to her! Great team! Great teamwork! They did a fabulous job. I will definitely use them again.

The manager called after he read my review. He was deeply concerned that my review was so critical. He mentioned a few times in our call that I should have called to voice my displeasure. As I mentioned in the review, this was my first experience with any cleaning service so I didn't know what to expect. Hard to complain when I don't have experience from these types of businesses. He did mention that reservation didn't have any notes, but I did tell him I specifically mentioned to the operator that took the reservation it was a 'move in' cleaning and it needed a lot of detail cleaning. He offered a refund but I did mention that I saw that the women there were working really hard. I know the bathrooms were cleaned and most things were wiped down. So I compromised and just asked for 50%. He did seem sincere when he called and did apologize for the poor performance. read more

Simply the best. Service available the next business day. They do not provide service over the weekend but I believe The Maids of Honolulu deserve to have their weekends. Cleaning is already difficult for me but they work multiple homes each day. Also, their price is reasonable. I have compared other companies' pricing and cleaning companies have almost same prices, but for quality, I go with The Maids of Honolulu. Mahalo and Aloha! read more

We are so impressed with The Maids of Honolulu! We have them to thank for a huge clean-up project for a home that is being listed on the market very soon. The Maids team of four did a fantastic job in scrubbing, cleaning, and shining all parts of the home interior until it sparkled! This was no easy task given it was a well-loved home of my parents. Their team scrubbed and cleaned the hardwood floors so beautifully! The areas where there is linoleum tile they steam-cleaned to make them as good as new. We are so impressed with what they were able to do in 3 hours! Everything is looking perfect and tidy! Everything smells so fresh too! We can now enjoy the ocean view and view of downtown from our super clean windows. Mahalo to The Maids of Honolulu! Hi read more

This review is long overdue. When my in-laws moved in with us, it was very difficult to keep the house clean. With five adults, 2 cats, 2 dogs and various visitors throughout the week, the house was always dusty. We decided to have the Maids come by weekly to clean the floors, bathrooms and light dusting. And every time the house was spotless. They were fast, efficient and friendly. And when we've had family gatherings and parties, the Maids are fantastic to help get the house ready. From window washing to cleaning the oven to a deep clean, the Maids are always the first to contact. Everyone at the Maids are wonderful. My 91-year old father owns a home which my brother and I take turns vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, mopping and cleaning bathrooms. However, we needed to give it a good scrubbing over so I'm giving The Maids Honolulu 5-Stars because of the following: 1. Arrived on time 2. Friendly hello and well prepared 3. The team leader, Merlihse, and two girls Clara and Di worked quietly and efficiently 4. The owner, Josh, was present to make sure the new employee understood the high level of cleaning expected and checked her work 5. THOROUGH job of cleaning kitchen in all kinds of nooks and crannies 6. GREAT job in bathrooms removing stains in tubs , limu in door tracks, scum on soap dishes and water stains 7. Able to dust high ceiling fans without getting on a ladder because she used a cool contraption 8. Removed many dust balls that I didn't have time or agility to do 9. Asked respectfully before cleaning certain items that looked fragile 10. Took out all the trash and said mahalo for the work - showing appreciation with a great attitude I would recommend this team to any of my friends, family and other Yelpers. Merhlise has worked her way up the ladder to team leader and is a good communicator, Carla has been there a while as well and works hard, and Di started recently but already in sync and works well taking direction and takes pride in her work. I will definitely call them for our condo to do the same! Mahalo Maids of Honolulu! read more

The Maids! Kind & understanding. I booked them to clean my daughter's home as she was bringing her first baby home. He was born premature and we wanted the house to be professionally cleaned. Baby was released a week earlier than expected and we ended up having to clean the home ourselves. Josh was kind enough to waive the cancelation fee. Not very many businesses would do that, especially during these tough economic times. But he did and because of his understanding, God will see that his business flourishes! Thanks Josh!! read more

Very nice women, but I ordered a deep cleaning and felt that the work was just normal cleaning. They didn't have to clean the stove, oven, or dishwasher so I hoped that the bathroom would be super clean. Bathroom floor still had residue that could be easily taken off and the sink and bathroom had mildew stains that can be easily bleached away. Below see the dirty floor and how it should have looked. Then the mildew around the bathtub and faucet stains. read more

The Maids have helped me regain my sanity. Three children, 12 hour work shifts, & maintaining a clean home is a tough act for my husband and I to balance. Thanks to The Maids; I have more quality time to spend with my family & less to stress over. A cleaning service is quite a luxury. I'm a little embarrassed to say "the maids maintain my home" as family and friends give me looks of $$. But I'd take a clean home over any full day at the spa. Fairly equivalent in price but provides me a better sense of relaxation. I've tried many different cleaning services in the past but I have finally opted for a monthly service with The Maids. It's been 8months of cleaning services and I have to say they truly are the best. Tip: remember that each home is different and each person/family has different expectations. If you are meticulous about your personal space make sure to let them know because they are not mind readers. Also, skip the spa day gifts and ask for a cleaning service with The Maids instead. read more
