Darrell's Coin Laundry...Immaculate, Friendly, and Mom-Approved…read more It's been over 20 years since I've been in a laundromat, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Darrell's Coin Laundry absolutely exceeded every expectation. This is one of the cleanest, friendliest, and best-run facilities I've ever seen. The whole place has a relaxed, safe vibe. They offer books and entertainment for kids, the machines are spotless, and there are plenty of baskets to help transfer your laundry. With a full-time attendant on site, you never have to worry about someone touching your clothes, rushing your load, or taking your dryer time. Huge peace of mind. Another big plus? You don't even need coins. Every machine lets you pay by QR code, credit card, or debit card, making the whole process faster and way more convenient. I also used this chance to teach my son a life skill...how to use a laundromat and handle his own laundry, because let's be honest... mom isn't always gonna be there to clean your dirty drawers. He learned, we laughed, and thanks to how organized and well-run this place is, the whole experience was smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for a clean, safe, modern, and genuinely customer-focused laundromat, Darrell's is it. Truly impressed! Pro Tip...last wash start is 7:30 PM

I've been reading these reviews…read more What this is, is the only laundromat in town between here and Ewa or Waipahu. To the West, there's Waianae laundromat but their machines don't dry as fast, and are always broken. I don't know what people are expecting about Nanakuli laundromat. Have they looked around? There are a lot of chronics on the Westside, period. They need bars on the laundromat to keep things operational. They are dual purpose, as I'll mention later. Anyway, same with Castor's in Waipahu, bars are not a prison to keep you in--they are there to keep you safe from what's outside. What's outside are not all that people sensationalize, either. People who are living with addiction are no different than the people who have the pile of Amazon boxes at their door, or who buy wine in bulk to get the 15% off, or those who go to Vegas more than once a year to strike it big. You know who strikes it big? The State of Hawaii--they track your earnings. My co-worker had to owe on her taxes for paying slot machines in Vegas! That's just aside that might save someone the difference between having money for Tide versus the generic soap. See that transition? Some reviewers need to get real. If you want a nice place to wash your clothes and have A/C and free WiFi, this is NOT the place. If you spill some thing, there is no water, so bring your own. There is only a little spigot trickling water, crammed behind a hole in plywood. It is very inventive to cut down on using such a precious resource--mālama 'āina, y'all! What would you rather have, to watch a random person take an improvised shower in front of you or the high cost of machines due to water-waste,? At Nanakuli laundromat, you get neither! And yes, they are short on space but then again, I'd rather have more machines to not have to wait for machines rather than more space to wait around in. If people are clinically obese, then the heat on warm days can help them sweat off some water weight. Also, maybe instead of watching their clothes inside, people can exercise walking back and forth outside because you can see the machines through the bars! See! I told you bars aren't so bad! It is spartan, it is utilitarian, and workers come through periodically to maintain it. They do a good job of fixing machines right away, too. "Bettah than nothin'"

I had to use some of the large machines that are $14 for a wash $20 something if you need hot water and no app!! I ended up spending $50 in quarters to do this. Most of the machines are not working. There are entire rows where the machines don't work. Some machines have detergent powder residue left in them. No attendant on duty. The soda machine doesn't work; took my $4.00. Ugh!!

I found this place which was close to our hotel. The place was clean but most of the machines weren't working. No one was there to man the place. It's just adding up, the dryer ate $10 worth of quarters! So I went ahead to try and find a way to contact the management there. No one is NEVER at the window, and there's only one phone number posted 808-6883848, and it's for trying to inquire about a job. Alongside an email as well. I've went ahead and sent an email, as well as texted and called the phone number. The voicemail greeting for the number states if having a problem about a machine to leave a message a text the number back about the machine number, date, time, etc. which I did. I even did in the texts and emails. No response still! And get this..... they've "READ" the messages as well! You can seee in the screenshots. After once I get it stuff happens. But after MULTIPLE TIMES, they've done nothing to resolve the issue or provide a way for reimbursement. For this reason, I would not recommend this place to anyone, maybe you'll have no issues when you do your laundry? And that'll be good for you! But just know if you have any problems with the machines? They will do nothing to fix the problem. And just IGNORE YOU! Just look at the photos I've attached, after multiple times I'm just ignored and left on Read!

My husband needed his suit jacket dry cleaned and this was the closest place we could go to that…read moreworked with our work hours (9-5ers). Overall, we don't use drycleaners that often so as far as the quality and timing of work, we don't have anyone other experiences to compare to. His jacket looked good and the amount of time it took for the jacket to get cleaned made sense. We needed it by a certain day and I didn't know dry-cleaning takes a few days to complete so good thing I went in early. As mentioned earlier, we also both work 9-5s so this was the only place we could go to for drop-off and pickup that works with our hours. Since it's on our way to home as well this was the only convenient place we could go to. So in the end, the work they completed was satisfactory. The reason why I removed two stars is the customer service. I went in and this lady was blasting a radio or show full volume on her phone. There's nothing wrong with that, but what was wrong was that she just left it on while talking to me which caused a listening problem for her. Both my first and last name are very hard to spell if you don't have a lot of experience with Japanese name(s) so having to spell it out letter by letter is something I'm used to. But the fact that I was practically yelling at her over the counter trying to drown out whatever she was listening to in the background made me frustrated and anyone walking in would think I'm the bad guy. Eventually, she turned off her phone but that took too long when it should have been turned off when I walked in the establishment. To save me the aggravation of my last name, I just pulled out my ID so she could follow that. I also knocked another star off for no communication. She took down my name and phone number and gave me a date and time to pick-up and she said she would call when it's ready. Monday comes around...no call. Tuesday...no call. Eventually by Thursday there was no communication and my husband had to go in himself to pick it up, but who knows how long it's been ready waiting for us to pick it up. Maybe she didn't put my phone number in correctly because of the loud noise in the background as mentioned earlier. In the end, this was our second dry-cleaning experience in years and they get the work done but could really work on the customer service and communication.

It was ready and the woman that helped me while dropping it off and picking it up was so nice! When I picked it up today she took out the items to show them they were cleaned and the put them away for me. All together it was $18.35 for both pieces.
