good place to wash your clothes - about the same price as most places with new washers and dryers…read more they have very old washers they have retired and unplugged still. the brand new washer and dryers will cost you a lot more. the brand new washers are about $12 to wash a big load & $3.50 to dry. the dryers are all about the same and in terms of price. it seems a lot of people avoided using the brand new ones as they were more pricey. we brought our own laundry pods and dryer sheets so we wouldn't have to buy any. if you need laundry products, there is a Don Quijote nearby. also a great spot to waste time while the clothes are washing.

To the West, there's Waianae laundromat but their machines don't dry as fast, and are always broken. I don't know what people are expecting about Nanakuli laundromat. Have they looked around? There are a lot of chronics on the Westside, period. They need bars on the laundromat to keep things operational. They are dual purpose, as I'll mention later. Anyway, same with Castor's in Waipahu, bars are not a prison to keep you in--they are there to keep you safe from what's outside. What's outside are not all that people sensationalize, either. People who are living with addiction are no different than the people who have the pile of Amazon boxes at their door, or who buy wine in bulk to get the 15% off, or those who go to Vegas more than once a year to strike it big. You know who strikes it big? The State of Hawaii--they track your earnings. My co-worker had to owe on her taxes for paying slot machines in Vegas! That's just aside that might save someone the difference between having money for Tide versus the generic soap. See that transition? Some reviewers need to get real. If you want a nice place to wash your clothes and have A/C and free WiFi, this is NOT the place. If you spill some thing, there is no water, so bring your own. What would you rather have, to watch a random person take an improvised shower in front of you or the high cost of machines due to water-waste,? At Nanakuli laundromat, you get neither! And yes, they are short on space but then again, I'd rather have more machines to not have to wait for machines rather than more space to wait around in. If people are clinically obese, then the heat on warm days can help them sweat off some water weight. Also, maybe instead of watching their clothes inside, people can exercise walking back and forth outside because you can see the machines through the bars! See! I told you bars aren't so bad! Overall, we don't use drycleaners that often so as far as the quality and timing of work, we don't have anyone other experiences to compare to. His jacket looked good and the amount of time it took for the jacket to get cleaned made sense. We needed it by a certain day and I didn't know dry-cleaning takes a few days to complete so good thing I went in early. As mentioned earlier, we also both work 9-5s so this was the only place we could go to for drop-off and pickup that works with our hours. Since it's on our way to home as well this was the only convenient place we could go to. So in the end, the work they completed was satisfactory. The reason why I removed two stars is the customer service. I went in and this lady was blasting a radio or show full volume on her phone. There's nothing wrong with that, but what was wrong was that she just left it on while talking to me which caused a listening problem for her. Both my first and last name are very hard to spell if you don't have a lot of experience with Japanese name(s) so having to spell it out letter by letter is something I'm used to. But the fact that I was practically yelling at her over the counter trying to drown out whatever she was listening to in the background made me frustrated and anyone walking in would think I'm the bad guy. Eventually, she turned off her phone but that took too long when it should have been turned off when I walked in the establishment. To save me the aggravation of my last name, I just pulled out my ID so she could follow that. I also knocked another star off for no communication. She took down my name and phone number and gave me a date and time to pick-up and she said she would call when it's ready. Monday comes around...no call. Tuesday...no call. Eventually by Thursday there was no communication and my husband had to go in himself to pick it up, but who knows how long it's been ready waiting for us to pick it up. Maybe she didn't put my phone number in correctly because of the loud noise in the background as mentioned earlier. In the end, this was our second dry-cleaning experience in years and they get the work done but could really work on the customer service and communication.

I needed to get my two piece Ivy Park suit set dry cleaned as I wore it on a night I drank a little too much and fell many times in it, getting it pretty dirty. I believe I took my item in on the 29th of December? I wasn't in a rush to get my items back, just wanted it clean. So they said it would be ready today, Monday the 3rd of January. It was ready and the woman that helped me while dropping it off and picking it up was so nice! When I picked it up today she took out the items to show them they were cleaned and the put them away for me. All together it was $18.35 for both pieces. Truly have no idea if that is a good price or not but it is clean and I am happy. The spot was a bit hard to find as the address leads you to the back of the building in the parking lot. You can park there and walk around for the front or ring the doorbell for the back entrance! If I ever need to get something dry cleaned again, this will be my spot!
