In my effort to find a new nail salon, I decided to give this one a try because I only had a few hours before I needed to attend an event and needed a pedicure. When I looked at the pictures it looked like it would have enough technicians and seats for me to get in and get out. My tech was Michael and he was thorough and polite. When I wasn't initially offered a drink, he was able to get me one. I liked that they had a variety of clients and treatment services - I saw everything from mothers & daughters, married couples, singles, and one woman had a full spa treatment with masks, massages, etc. while I was there. I was relaxed just looking at her techs in action. I had been in the yard that day so my nails were haggard so I actually got a manicure as well. I warned Michael that I am prone to bleeding so he took extreme care when clipping my cuticles and I appreciated that. He also removed all the dirt from my nails which wasn't easy. And when I accidentally bumped my nails, he quickly fixed it for me and gave me plenty of time to dry them before I left to avoid another incident. I wasn't thrilled with the selection at the front of the store and was trying to find a bottle that I thought could sustain a pedicure and manicure - he assured me there was enough and it was. However, I prefer when I can pick the colors from the tabs and then go from there so I'll keep that in mind before coming back the next time.
This place is amazing ! Such a great environment, prices are reasonable, includes 2 drinks including alcoholic, and the staff is so friendly! I got a pedicure and a full set and my friends also got pedicures. They are through with the work and definitely will come back
I've never had a better experience than at this salon! I came in for my birthday late after work, I was so happy to find out they stay open late a few times a week which is RARE, they also offer complimentary drinks to help relax. The owner Yumi is incredibly sweet and surprisied me with a cookie and sash for my birthday!
Me and my best friend came here because of the late hours. First time here and service was great. My nail tech was Yumi and she did an excellent job helping me pick a design and style. Will come back again
I am very disappointed in this nail salon. They write in their own tips. DO NOT COME HERE. I heard that this place was discriminatory, but my family convinced me to give it a try. I came in and the decor looked lovely. The staff was nice and helpful. I came in for a pedicure and they continually asked if I wanted a full set. I do my own nails, but when I don't I go to a nail tech. I shouldn't have to explain that to an employee, no should be enough. I wanted to get the classic pedicure, but they harassed me until I upgraded the pedicure. After 5 different employees asked me, I gave in. I got white shellac for my toes and the pedicure actually felt good. My grandmother also got a pedicure and a manicure. They laughed and pointed at my grandmother when we walked in. They were pointing at her while speaking Vietnamese, which was very offensive. Overall, I was going to give them a 3 star review. My pedicure came to $69, which I paid in cash. My grandmother's total was $87 and she paid with her card. We didn't realize it until the next day, but we noticed she was overcharged. The bill was $87 and the lady wrote in $87 on the tip. My grandmother's card was charged a total of $174. She tried to contact them, but they said they did not remember her even though she was there yesterday. Very unprofessional. My pedicure only lasted a week. Stay away from this nail shop if you don't want to get scammed.
Price too high for mediocre work. I wouldn't go back. $48 for basic pedicure with gel and as you can see my toe nails aren't fully polished. My full set was $75 and some are long and some are medium. Lol place is a joke. Free drink but you probably won't be satisfied. Keep the drink and give me a quality sure for a quality price.
My first and last visit the staff was rude and refused to take the time to understand the nails I was requesting. I had somewhere to be so I told them I would just take their offer on the nails I "should" get but not return after this visit. The women said we are not going to waste time and I could leave. I went down the street and received perfect service and perfect nails Thank you Atlantis Nails for helping me find my forever nail salon !!!! Special shout out to JK Signature nails your work is amazing and I will be back.
My wife came to get our nails done for the wedding. Look at this shz they did on her nail, wtf is this? It look zig zag, how are they still in business. Stay away.
I come to Houston fairly often to work. I really needed my nails done so stopped in knowing nothing about this salon. Let me say Amy is AMAZING!!! I usually get dip but she told me about a full set (no tips) with shellac and I went with her recommendation and VERY happy I did! Excellent job & on my eyebrows too! Thank you Amy! I'll definitely be back!
On a high note, this a beautiful, large salon that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Due to a language barrier, it took a minute for me to get my service started. I came in for an acrylic dipped coffin-shaped full set and the technician initially told me she couldn't do it. Frustrating at first, because I've gotten it before. After going back and forth to seek understanding about why she couldn't do it, I finally understood it depends on the length. Since I wanted a shorter (looks long to me) full set, she was able to use dip powder after all. Whew! From there things went smoothly and I was happy with how my nails came out. She was thorough and patient. Not at all chatty, if that's your thing. More of a wham, bam, thank you ma'am and I'm not mad about it. Go during happy hour if you can, and save yourself 10%. My services costed $41, minus tip, including the happy hour discount. It should last me a month...
The customer service was great. My problem is with the price. I admit I did get a design no jewels, nails only, but $145 is totally out of my budget. I'll return but no more designs for me.

This was my first time coming here. I got dip powder and this was the end result. You can see the brush strokes on here are very messy. I picked a color and it did not match once it was on my nail. I was told that's the way the color is. They took off the color and replaced it with a similar color. Same result. I would not recommend coming here. read more

Awesome service and excellent job on mani/pedi. Service done and did not take a long time also provided beverages and wine if you prefer. Management was very helpful and went above and beyond to try and find a nail product to use on my nails for return services. The atmosphere is very pleasant and decor is very pretty. Shop is clean and sanitary. All of the staff was super friendly and ensured my satisfaction by asking questions and making sure I was happy. The location is very convenient so you can stop in while shopping or out running errands. Actually had a new person this time and was not pleased with the direction of the pedicure....since I am paying my money I voiced my displeasure with the service in a very polite manner and was immediately accommodated. I would highly suggest finding your "go to person" and sticking with them. Everyone is new at some point so I understood just was trying to help him understand where he was lacking but the individual that was servicing me let the manager know on his own and was more than happy to let someone else finish the service. I went in for a shellac manicure, but ended up with holographic nails! I have been looking everywhere for a place that has the mirror/holographic powder and they have both! Tam performed my manicure. He was very nice and easy to talk to. I was open to suggestions when it came to nail colors, so when he asked if I wanted these, I said, "of course!" I would definitely recommend this establishment. Henry did a great job on my shellac polish. Normally when I visit nail salons I notice that the edges of my nails aren't fully covered. After telling Henry this he paid close attention to each nail and I am so happy with the outcome. Gel normally doesn't last long on my nails for whatever reason BUT if I get at least a week out of these I will definitely be back to see Henry. FYI Henry is hilarious!! He starts off quiet but will talk and make jokes if you interact with him. Lucky did my pedicure and he did a good job as well. All of the staff were very nice and accommodating. They have water and wine for guests, not sure about soft drinks because I asked for water and saw the wine. They have children's pricing, 3 pedicure packages and 3-4 manicure packages. They do waxing, lashes and PhiBrows, to name a few. I gave them 4 stars because I like to leave room for improvement and more wowing If my gel polish lasts over a week I'll give them 5. read more

When I first arrived I thought, "Wow this place is beautiful!". I informed the man at the front desk that I'd like a Gel manicure and regular pedicure, he asked me to pick out the colors and had me sit down. I waited for about 20-25 minutes then I was seated. The lady who did my pedicure was super aggressive and rough, instead of her instructing me or asking me to move my feet she would yank them around (she literally didn't say one word to me after her "hello"). The man who did my nails was gentle but his work isn't the best. It hasn't even been a week (6 days later) and my nails are already peeling off. So disappointed in their customer service and work. Especially for the prices!! Needless to say; I will never return, it's such a shame that a good nail salon is so hard to come across nowadays. read more

So I went to this salon because I had seen all the great reviews from yelp, I did a walk in and the woman at the counter was so nice and friendly, I planned to get a mani and pedi, my nails were done by nick and toes done by Hana? I believe, not sure if that's how you spell it but man they were so good. Hana was so tender and focused, she's really good at what she does let me tell you, she convinced me to get a deluxe pedicure instead of the basic like I had planned. She took her time but wasn't too slow, 10 out of 10 recommend her. (Sorry I didn't include a pic of the work she did, I forgot but let me tell you it was so nice) So as I was getting my pedi, nick came over and started working on my hands, I haven't gotten a manicure in a while so I completely forgot what I use to get, couldn't figure out if I got shellac, gel or acrylic so he explained to me which was really helpful. I salute him because he was patient but I could tell he was getting annoyed when I changed my color like 6 times so he ended up choosing a color and I ended really liked it so we went with it. I'm disappointed on how my pedicure turned out. Just got them done today by Hana and a lot of my toes are messed up. I kept telling her it didn't look right but she kept insisting that it looked good. I mean come on?? Very sloppy job. They were very nice but I paid $40 for this pedicure she should have redone them. Wow - this is by far the NICEST nail salon I've ever been to. Everyone was so sweet and they did an amazing job with my pink and white glitter ombré acrylics! This salon just opened a few months ago and you can tell how much attention to detail went into this place. The owner came by and personally greeted me while I was there and made sure to follow up with me and ask about the service. My friend had a specialty nail art request and they made sure to do it with precision. I was really surprised how well it was done. My overlay and pedicure took about an hour and the massage and scrub felt amazing. I will definitely be back again!! read more

I tried them for the first day . Let me tell how much of a wreck my one day off was that I was trying to enjoy with a nice spa day. First off I made an appointment at for 10:30 am this morning . When I got there I was asked to just sit in one of the pedicure booths until they were ready for me . Mind you I got there 15 mins before my appointment . They let me sit there till about 11:15 ish . They did not even put water the in bowl for me to soak my feet while I waited ! Then finally when they did start on my feet the lady literally half assed my entire pedicure . She only scrubbed the bottom of my feet and I have pictures to prove this ! She never even filed or brush my feet at all . She never tried using the little saw brush on the top , literally nothing !! Then she proceeded to cut the hair off my toes with a NAIL TRIMMER. She pinched my skin so hard that it caused a blister and torn skin and was burning and hurting so bad my whole toe was hurting . I should have left then but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt . Then she tried to rush through the rest of the pedicure since she hurt my toe. The only nice thing about it was the hot towels bc she didn't do anything else . Literally no wax no rocks barely a massage ! Mind you this pedicure was 37 dollars and I've had cheaper pedicures with way more to it ! Then she proceeds to polish my nails that were never evened out or anything so the polish looked clumped up and terrible . I asked her to fix it then all of a sudden she couldn't speak or understand English ! Two other ladies came to offer help and none of them could get it right to what I was asking for which was simple to do a correct pedicure ! I told them I no longer wanted any services from them because they were not giving me what I was paying for ! I asked her to remove the clumped up polish and not to touch me anymore . The lady tried grabbing my feet as if to say forget what I'm saying she's just gonna truly to fix it . At this point my feet were hurting and I hadn't gotten half of the pedicure that they wanted $37 for !! Then I told them I was leaving and they let me leave then called the COPS on me to file criminal charges on me !! I called the owner and she argued me down after seeing my feet before I left that none of this happened and that I still owed $37 !! The money was not the issue ! I don't mind paying for what I get but this was absolutely ridiculous and I have never felt so terrible at a nail salon that I should be have my relax time . Crazy part is I was about to be spending at least 120 in there so paying up isn't the issue ! I just wanted good customer service and unfortunately I got the cops called on me bc they have terrible service . These are pictures from after I left their shop ! I have a cut on my toe from her trying to cut the hair off my toe with nail trimmers . None of my nails have been filed or anything !! But this is supposed to be a $37 pedicure !! read more

I would take a photo but my camera is like the worst. So the tech Ricky is amazing and made one of the worst nails jobs I have ever had, so much better. There was no salvaging the damage done to my nails on Friday. Not even my attitude towards the place, but he worked wonders. However, if I cant see him I dont want to go back. The 4 stars are for him alone. Because if I ask for a special request and only want a woman to do my nails, i then become the talk of the shop right then and there. I just recently moved to the Houston area. After searching Yelp in an area closer to where I live, and having less than desirable options, I expanded my search. I don't mind going a little further for work that's worth it. I found Atlantis. There were tons of mixed reviews, but I wanted to give it the benefit and am SO happy I did. It's as cute as it wants to be when you come in. Very clean. Well organized. Lots of options. Those 3 combined, what's not to love, right? I have semi strict rules at my job concerning nail color/style selections, so I kept it simple with an acrylic, square, ombré nail. My tech was Nick. He did not disappoint! Very thorough and effortlessly performs great work. He has earned a regular! I also got a deluxe pedi. Man. Oh. Man. Lemme tell ya... this was the pedicure of pedicures! That had to be THE best pedicure leg massage I've ever had! Without second guessing. I seriously can't wait to go back for another! I asked her named and it's now slipped my mind (after my hour drive home- yes, you read that right- hour drive!) I *believe* it was Yumi. (30's-40's woman?) she was a total sweetheart and so great at what she does. 110% efforts on her part. She also did my eyebrows. They're prefect. All in all, my first impression of this place was so great that I don't question making this my "go to" place. Full acrylic set + 2 color powders for ombré = $50 Deluxe Pedi $35 Eyebrows $8 Total of $93 for my visit and $110 including tip. read more

The most serene, accomodating "relax after finishing after a full shift" spot of this summer! I was really wanting to relax and have a solo style "treat yo self day". You know- just chill with myself and feel a little pampered. The atmosphere is gorgeous. I love the painted murals and the bubbles. The colors that filled the room made it a bit serene. The nail colors they offered were nice; I don't think I was floored by certain colors they had yet they still had good selection. The staff is very attentive & will answer any questions you. They are surely nice. I appreciate the man who helped me & his patience with me taking my time choosing a manicure color. I got a manicure which was $15 + tip! I got shellac manicure... 1-2 days later my gel peeled... I went back to get it fix.... paid another $9.00 for dip nails... a wk later... it cracked and peeled. I've been wearing my nail thin and natural whether it's acrylic or dip for years and this never happen before... Not worth it. read more

Great customer service, but when she was finishing up my nails there was small holes everywhere ! she buffed the gel and redid her work but now, it gets matte out of no where and there's scratches everywhere!!. If you look closely on my middle finger there's another hole and the polish of the end of my nails is coming off ( and i got them done yesterday) also, i payed $32 !!! read more

Nice facility and nice staff. But not very thorough and I feel like some of the staff is a little under-experienced. I got a shellac manicure and classic pedicure. For the pedicure: they didn't do a good heel scrub because I walked out with a few flakes sticking out which made it a little uncomfortable to walk. Callus removal is an additional fee Manicure: I had on Dip nails with tips and the lady did not do a good job at removing them. With the drill file, she was not careful and cut my skin (I bled) 3 times on 3 separate fingers. I asked her to cut my nails short and square before applying Shellac - she cut them mid short and filed them crooked so I have two nails that are slanted. For the shellac, very poor job. They were rushed and didn't make sure to check to see if the color was uniform. Also it chipped in less than a week. I have attached pictures. Overall: for the price this spot was not worth it. Though the staff was very nice and friendly, the overall work was medium quality. read more

I was originally recommended this nail salon by a customer at my job when I noticed how beautiful her nails were! I scheduled an appointment within the week and it was very easy to do over the phone! My technician, Tom, spent an hour and a half on my nails and they were perfect for Valentine's Day! You should try the chrome! It's amazing! read more

I've been coming here for the past year for pedicures, which I have LOVED. I even made lots of recommendations to friends. I asked for Yumi because of the work I've seen posted here online for acrylic sets. I must say that this was the most unpleasant experience I've had at this shop and will not return for any nail set ever. Initially the atmosphere was polite and easygoing. However, when we started, Yumi cut one of the nails before asking what length I wanted. She asked if the length she cut was okay before waiting for me to measure what I liked. This firm suggestion led to the nails being shaped and filed down by at least half the length of what was originally cut and desired. After the acrylic was placed, she cut my finger with the pointed nail shaping tool and, she filed one hand a bit uneven. When I pointed this out she glued the skin on the side of my finger together then, proceeded to file the nails down, even more, to fix the error she had made. I noticed that this was not what I wanted or had in mind so I requested that she make them longer. Yumi stated that it would be an additional $5.00 for more length. You can see in the photos that the clear section on the end of the nails was an extremely small, uneven addition of length over what was already shaped, the opaque portion. The small bit of acrylic she added would be filed down again and make no difference other than in pricing!!! After this she left to go work with another customer for 10-15 minutes. When Yumi came back I told her to make them longer than this. She responded aggressively stating that it would now be an additional $10.00 charge and paused with a frustrated stare. At this point she was waiting as if she wanted me to say I'm not willing to pay for what I asked for. It was absurd. Then she proceeded to ask who had done my nails before this and why I wanted a new set of long nails when I came in with shorter nails. I politely responded, "It's okay. The price is fine, it's what I want. I'll pay for what I want." After this, Yumi was very hostile when moving her tools, grabbing and moving my hands, and holding and placing my fingers. Yumi's behavior was very disappointing for me as a client. If she did not want to provide this service or was not able to do exactly what I asked for, I would have preferred that she explicitly explain that to me rather than using intimidating language, up-charging as the service continued, and being physically abrasive. Before she started on my nails she stated that the salon was offering a promotion: Write a Yelp review for the salon and get $5.00 off of your bill. When she finished my set and I went to pay, I was excluded from this offer. I share my experience with you all and add that I was more than patient, understanding, and pleasant during this encounter. I believe the issue was that I was uncompromising with what I desired for my nails. I truly believe that if the client is the one that has to wear the nails/shapes/colors/designs/etc. then they should be happy with it when they leave the table. I did not think that I would be met with such uninviting and unfriendly attitudes after asking for what I want. When I left I was still uneasy about the way I was treated in Atlantis Nail Bar. I hope no one else has to be faced with such impolite, ill-mannered, and insulting attitudes or remarks when they visit this nail salon. read more

Made an appointment with Yumi for my first time at this salon. I gave her a picture to recreate and was very pleased with the results. This is my favorite set I've gotten, and I've received countless compliments on them. After looking through pictures and reading reviews, I definitely felt like I needed to book with Yumi, it didn't seem as though all of her nail techs had the same level of skill. Their prices are kind of high, but the price for my acrylics were reasonable. I wanted a pedicure as well, but after hearing that a basic pedicure with shellac would be $42 I decided to just get shellac, which was disappointing. For my full set, the price was $65 for clear nails including the length, shape, and design. Overall I'm glad I found a place near me that does nails well as I usually travel into Houston, but will most likely not make this my regular place due to pricing. read more

How are prices for acrylic nails?
Prices are decent but they upsell a lot. Basic nails are about $27 if I remember and they go up from there depending on what you're looking for.
