In my life, I have moved 7 times. Twice on my own and five times by movers hired by my employer as…read morepart of a job assignment. I've had my share of good and bad moves and movers. Recently, I hired Quick Moves of Florida to move my household belongings. Prior to signing them up, I asked around and was surprised at the number of people who were so displeased with the movers they had used. Needless to say, this feedback worried me. I looked them up on YELP and saw that the comments were all good. I spoke to Michelle in the office and liked her explanation and decided to hire them. Move day was January 30th. They were scheduled to be at my door between 9-9:30am. At 8:30, I got a call from the lead guy, Joe, who said that they would be a little late. The two movers and their truck rolled up to my driveway at 10am. Joe Stingone introduced himself and his partner and we discussed what was about to happen. Then they got to work. They loaded my packed boxes and furniture. Both of them - Joe and Jonathan - were very nice and respectful. They were talkative and asking me relevant questions such as what stays and what goes. They used blankets to wrap most of the furniture (dressers, bookcases and some tables) so they would not get damaged in the move. They handled fragile items with care. I was amidst the whole time but not in their way nor micro-managing their work. The job was quick and efficient and finished earlier than I expected. Their fees are reasonable and not outlandish. I saw them do really good work - the best that I had seen to date. I highly recommend Quick Moves of Florida.

These are the list of issues with this company, T&E Moving and Storage LLC:…read more1. The initial estimate was made for about $7000 then at the end they asked for $9800. So, prepare for very off estimates. 2. Customer Service is terrible, and nobody answer any questions and differ you to the next person. 3. I paid for full packaging service; they packed my drawer stuff in a trash bag! very unprofessional. 4. They don't pack the furniture very well, so they damaged most of my furniture's and broke my bone China's. 5. They didn't cover the rugs at all, so they get so dirty. 6. They used a tape on all my stuff for packing, hard to clean them from the surface of furniture. 7. They used my toilet rugs to pack my gym stuff! UNBELEIVABLE!!! 8. They packed all the pictures frame without right protection, so everything is so damaged, Same as the pots and kitchen stuff are dumped in the box. That is, it. I wish I can add all the photos which is very self explanatory!

Customer Beware! We rented two units at this facility and what a mistake that was . One of the…read moreunits was climate controlled for the items that we did not want exposed to heat and humidity and the other was not. Upon returning to remove our items we noticed the climate controlled unit was noticeably warm . Upon inquiry, we learned that they kept the climate controlled units at 80 degrees which is extremely hot especially in the Jacksonville sweltering heat. We also found black mold spots all over our white leather chairs that had been stored in the climate controlled unit. The chairs also showed signs of wrinkling from being moist or damp. Upon entering the 2nd unit that was was not climate controlled, we found rodent droppings , and evidence of water stains on our plastic storage bins . Upon inspection of our other furniture, we found that our headboard had water damage due to a water leak in the unit and some of our items had been chewed on by rodents. We were instructed to file a claim, as we did pay extra for the insurance that they recommended. After initiating the claim, we were advised by the insurance company that they don't cover damage due to water leaks/flooding or mold or mildew . Neither do they address rodents. So , neither claim was covered. We reached out to Secure Self Storage to give them an opportunity to make the situation whole. Hoping that after renting two units there for eight months, they would take some responsibility. They advised that they are not liable for damage that occurs at THEIR facility. Well who exactly is liable if the insurance that they recommended isn't and neither are they. If you are looking for a place to store your belongings, this is definitely not the place unless you like finding rat droppings on your belongings , like having your furniture chewed up by rats , or enjoy giving your money to a company that clearly doesn't care about their customers!
