This is the lowest rating I have given and it's for good reason. I've lived in Rochester for a while now and other than, Fairpoint (DSL), Meteocast is the option for internet and cable. I guess when you're the only one around there's not much to compare to but the service is horrible! Internet is always going down, I never get the speeds I'm paying for. If I could give a 0 rating, I would...I have been on the phone since 9am this morning trying to resolve an issue. I had internet service at my home at a rate of $135/mo. On June 2nd, I called and asked if there were any promotions that would lower my expense. I was offered Fiber service at $60/mo guaranteed for 5 years, no contract. I had fiber installed on June 4th. My billing cycle is the 21st of the month for the next month. On June 21st, I was billed $135 for internet services, which is the old service rate. I expected a credit for the period of June 4th - June 21st for the change in service plus the $60 for the month of 6/21-7/21. I called & spoke to the billing dept and they couldn't help me. Sent me to sales, who couldn't help me. Sent me to tech support, who at least tried to help but sent me back to sales. The last man I spoke to in sales was at least the brightest of all the people I spoke to & understood what I was saying but couldn't help. He finally opened a ticket at 12:30pm & escalated the issue to a manager (which I asked the guy in billing to do at 9:15am this morning). I have dealt with many ISP's in my last job and none have ever been as incompetent as this company. Long wait times to speak to someone, useless voice mail prompts that don't seem to understand perfect English and reps who could not figure their way out of a paper bag. I feel badly for the reps because they are not trained correctly and probably take a lot of abuse (I tried to be as polite as possible with them) but it's frustrating to try to discuss/explain/reason with someone who just doesn't have the understanding. read more

She said no directly out of your checking account. So I'm OK? Yes. *** next day, email your payment is l overdue. I called to add the new card. She sends me a link to add the new card. Successful. *** I try to sign in and make a payment. My pin doesn't work. Although she tells me it is the correct pin number. No text code. Internet and phone are suspended.. No way to log on and make the payment, but to drive 10 miles to Breezeline office. ***Gina does the computer transaction. After.20 min. I'm back up. *** it asks for your email, but don't think it's your email address. It's.xxxxxx@breezeline.net. How did I know, I use facial recognition to log on.. terrible time, consuming processing experience, even though Gina in the office, handled it well. I was so exasperated! Why would they shut off my phone, text, and Internet if they want me to make a payment, especially because I did everything I could to make the payment after my card was compromised. Not only is the service horrible, the cost for internet Only went from 59.00 a month to 148.98 AFTER closing my account breezeline stole 148.98 from my bank account. You can no longer return equipment to a building location... You have to pay the cost to print out a return label ( if you don't have your own printer ) find.a box or buy one to return the modem in, drive to the post office to ship it back, none of which is reimbursed. Internet service all that is fine and what you would expect. The problem is customer service when you need it. A storm came through and knocked out service. During an "outage" they do not allow you to call and talk to anyone about anything. A limb knocked the wire off my house, their truck came and restored service to my neighbor then left mine on the ground. I could not call and speak to a person or leave a message to inform them of the cable on the ground. While they had the trucks out I wanted to let them know. 24 hours later, the "outage" is over and I can finally get a call back after spending 4 hours on hold throughout the day, and one representative even said he'd call back when the outage is over. He never called back and when I asked for email confirmation of our conversation he said he couldn't do that. ... Anyway, after I tell them the the cable was ripped from the pole and I cooked it up for them, they asked me if I tried restarting the router! When I told them I held the cable in my hands they asked me what lights were on the modem! Finally, when they understand the issue I get an appointment for the next day. I asked if I could speak to a manger to register a complaint they said I couldn't speak to any but I could register a complaint. After sitting on hold for another 10 minutes the support rep gets back on the line and tells me that it will be 24-48 hours before my complaint can be resolved. If you never have and issue the service is fine, if you ever need to speak to someone and even try to inform them of an issue, good luck! read more

What started out as a "repair" to our failing broadband and cable system, ended up being a week long ordeal after which we do not have a functioning system. The initial suggested "repair" was to replace the modem and TV boxes. They sent and we received the TV boxes but no modem. After another call, Breezeline noted we could use our own modem. We struggled to link the new modem because, we learned, they blocked the unit as they want us to rent a modem. We have, through this process, realized we were being charged for a modem we never rented. Their response to this revelation - "too late". The face-to-face discussion was one of the rudest experiences one could imagine. This company is deceptive, dishonest and without concern for "customer satisfaction". If you can run away, do so fast. For the company leadership - "Robert" in Rochester set a new standard in rudeness. He should receive a termination notice today. read more

On 4/3/26 I called to cancel my service. While in my account I noticed they went up on my bill again. While canceling my service they inform me that I would be charged for the service month, 3/30 to 4/29, they don't pro-rate. This is a rip off I called on 4/3. They also tired to give me other options. If they were going to offer deals why wait until I want to cancel? I see them offering deals to new customers. What about the customers you already have. Shit customer service, unreliable internet that drops routinely for zero reason. They have come out to "fix" our internet no less than 2-3 times a year and the results are always the same. It never stays working for long. My husband runs his own business and requires reliable service and yet they will not ever credit our bill for the time lost (typically takes 3-5 days to come and fix an issue) more than a few cents on the dollar. HORRENDOUS customer support and poor internet quality that constantly shuts off and turns back on! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Been having trouble with my internet. Moved here 2 months ago and had a tech out twice already with the third guy coming friday. This last customer service interaction was soo bad that a day later I'm still fuming. So last time, its not working. Internet keeps disconnecting everything. I have to turn it on and off for it to work. I start talking to the support lady, she gets a tech out there a few days later. Guy tells me is the cables and "fixes it" within minutes and tells me I'll "never have issues like that again." Not even a week later, same issues except now its permanently off. So I get to talking to the support lady. She tells me she doesnt see a problem on her end because its working. I told her I literally just unplugged it and turned it back on. So she tells me its working fine nothing for her to do. Then the argument ensues. She tells me there could have been an outage that caused it. I ask her if there was any outage in the area, she says no there wasnt. I ask her if it is normal for me to have to unplug my internet to get it to work for an hour or so. She tells me it could be the "pod." No clue what that is. She proceeds to dance around offering up any solution. Telling me the internet is on now, nothing for her to do. So I even said the last time they were pretty helpful and sent a tech right out when I was having the exact same issue. Her response was "im glad you had a good experience last time." Without any solution! So I said can we just skip to the part of the conversation where you help me. She said they don't send technicians out for pod issues. And then boom, internet cuts out again. She looks it up and starts telling me its not the internet thats out because I have a home security system, a playstation, and something else trying to hook up to it. I literally have to tell her all of my devices are not hooking up to the internet even though the thing is online!! Like the modem is blinking its green lights like its working but not providing service! She finally decides I am worthy of an appointment. I pull a Karen wanting to talk to her supervisor. She wasnt going to offer any help or solutions if my interent wasnt out at the same time I was speaking to her. So my internet cuts in and out. By her standard I could have possibly had to call in 50 times in order to show her its not working at this exact minute. It might have been working 5 minutes ago, just not right now. I was just lucky to be dealing with her for such a long time that it actually did another cycle of not working to which she finally had to send out a tech. This whole interaction took 53 MINUTES!! Never got a call from the boss either. So again, avoid these guys at all costs!! read more

Trying to get help updating my payment method since they keep trying to take my payment out of the wrong account and overdrafting it more than once, I first try the chat method of contact and the "live agent" I requested tried telling me that there's a "breezeline" email address i need to sign into my account with my my regular sign in email address and that's the only way to update payment method but i had to call a number in order to get that email address so i do and the email address is my regular freakin email address after a total of 30 min of being placed on hold and 4 agents including the one in the chat on the app i still haven't been able to update the payment method and none of the agents knew what to do or could help, "can't take financial info over the phone" one tells me I'm like why, you afraid i might pay the bill or somebody else might pay? Their service always goes out and does not work and when it is out it is awful. If you do a promise to pay they will hit your account twice for the same payment amount. When talking to customer care they over talk you while you are trying to explain what is happening and will keep repeating as a transcript the issue instead of trying to find a resolution. They are the only Internet Provider that is able to be got in the area of location and have had them for 14 years and every year they get worse. The price was decent but then it started to go up a bit randomly. When it got to 150 dollars for just internet. Shortly after that I had trouble paying the bill on the web site. The payment went through twice. I decided to find another internet provider. I did that and returned the equipment.I got an email saying they got the package I ask for a refund, 3 months ago and was told that they had all the equipment. I go to an office and I am told that some of the equipment is missing and I can't get a full refund. No call back after the first conversation. if you are someone that has a good service with breezeline youre in luck. i moved into an apartment and out of the five cable companies i couldve called i used breezeline. they told me the equiptment would take 3 to 5 buisness days maximum! they shipped it on a monday. i checked tracking 3 days later my package was literally sitting a mile from my home waiting for delivery. problem is ups says it will take 6 more days to reach my home a mile away. ups says that breezeline is lying to their customers. if they wanted it here in three days , they would pay for same day mail or three day delivery. however , they sent it ground mail , which takes 8 to 10 days. so now i sit here still without cable, internet or phone, because i trusted to go through breeze line and u.p.s doesn't really care once they have your package.there's nothing you could do or say about it. so basically, breeze line get your money, knowing it's gonna take twice the amount of time to get to you that they say just so when you call and complain, they can offer you credit toward your bill. meanwhile, you still went 10 days waiting for internet. when they told you , it would take three... if you're able to go to a reputable cable company i suggest you do so read more

After waiting "your wait time is zero seconds" for almost an hour this morning, I get someone who's English is so horrible I can make out maybe one word out of 3-4. When the technician came to the house he couldn't complete the service call that day and said he would be back another day, then he had to cancel that and said another day, which of course he cancelled again. I do not like Breezeline. We switched due to losing local channels. Great We have local now but lose service enough to be aggravating. Seems like I have to click more than once to get the channel preferred. Just not user friendly. For what I pay, not satisfied. Worse tv/internet service I have ever had in my life!!!! Not only is the channel lineup awful (I don't even get comedy central and a lot of other good ones) the service is spotty and interrupted often. AND IT'S EXPENSIVE. Which makes it a terrible value. Honestly would rate it 0 if I could. We've had no issues when they were rebranded from Metrocast to Atlantic Broadband, and when this ISP became Breezeline, we started calling it Freezeline because of how bad the internet connection has been. I've tried to contact multiple times and never got an "equipment swap" offered until today. That would've been cool, but once we mentioned how the previous ISPs have been in comparison it seemed to have struck a nerve with the customer support rep.
