I've had no complaints about my TDS service until I decided to switch due to their relatively high price. As soon as I cancelled my service, my online account access was cut off and my ability to autopay my last bill was discontinued. This seemed odd. I decided to call them to find out why, it was clear that they would rather make you pay a $4.95 payment fee for paying by phone instead of continuing to collect payment the same way they had for all my past bills. I plan to wait for my next payment then pay via check, wasting a stamp, a check (who uses those any more) and time. Change this policy please. read more

Worst experience ever! First a technician comes out today and stripes our HDMI plug in on our 62 inch TV. Then when we notified the company RONALD TROYER (RONALD.TROYER@TDSTELECOM.COM) calls me from a cell phone (603) 524-6761 is extremely rude, refused to give me his managers information and hung up on me. Then sales calls trying to offer me a $50 credit for breaking the HDMI port! Seriously? I want to file a formal complaint against Ronald TROYER!! I do want to say the sales rep who called me after was pleasant and she's going to request his supervisors information. I'm hoping to receive it this week. I wish I would've known about all the better business bureau complaints before going with the company! Day one of service and it's already a nightmare!! read more

When I selected TDS as my internet provider, I was satisfied with the service and the internet package that TDS offered. After being a TDS customer for a few months, I began to have problems. Some months no billing statements came in the mail. To pay the balance due on my account, i called the self service number on an old bill, and paid the outstanding balance in full. A couple of days later, I tried to use my internet, and it had was disconnected. This was done without any prior notification to me. I called customer service (1-855-837-2455) to find out why I had no internet. I was informed that my account had been sent to collection! They had not posted the payment. TDS researched and reactivated my service. One day later, I had a message on my phone. The TDS representative stated that they were going to add a reactivation fee, and also downgrade my service while increasing my monthly bill for slower internet speed!! I also received a collection notice DATED MARCH 17th, five days after my account was paid in full. This company has service representatives that give incorrect information. Their billing system is a mess. They charged me fees to reconnect a service that they disconnected in error. I would not do business with TDS again. They do not know how to bill and their ignorance cost me time and money. Beware! read more
