I recently had Atlanta Tree Arbors cut down a tree for me. Not only were they NOT reliable but did not finish the job to completion as billed. I have tried numerous times through written emails to address this issue and the owner Brian Hager has been illusive. My biggest concern, although there are many, is that he billed me $3700.00 for 'take down and removal' plus an additional $500.00 for 'removal of debris' and I still have the tree mess in my front yard weeks later with no sight of him removing it. I have attached a pic of the bill and the mess he left for you to judge yourself. Not only did he bill me to remove the tree twice but also billed me for a 45 ton crane and a bobcat that were never used. He also padded the bill by stating that there were 8 guys working the job when in actuality there were only six. The entire experience with him was a bad one from the beginning. read more

We hired Brian to remove several large trees in our backyard that were damaging a retaining wall, and a line of huge cypress trees that were dying of old age, between our driveway and the neighbors. We had some concerns about damage to the wall, our house, and to our neighbor's property, and obtained four quotes. I am so glad we went with Atlanta Tree Arbors. They were incredibly skilled at their jobs, and it was something to watch. Not only did the trees come down with no damage to anything, they cleaned up so well that you would not know they had worked here all day. We added several more trees to the job once they started, and the added price was very fair. They even cut and stacked several of the tree trunks, so that we could have firewood later. We had 2 very large trees and several small trees removed this summer by ATL Tree Arbor. Quote of $7500 was reasonable and their reviews looked good so we hired them. The trees were removed, but the 2 days estimated turned into 6-7. They destroyed our lawn which had to be regraded and new pine straw brought in which cost us an add'l $2K. They left trash, limbs, damaged several remaining trees and didn't respond when we tried to follow up with them to do a walk through. Atlanta Tree Arbors is top notch - skilled, reliable, and well priced (I had gotten 3 other quotes). They cut down 5 trees and he also trimmed 5 other trees for us. One of the trees was basically dead and very large and at the top of a tall hill, so if not handled correctly, could have fallen either on the road or our home. They had to rope off from other trees to slowly cut it down (because of rot). Another, also very large tree that they cut down, was growing very close to the house. We had a very technical job in Virgina Highlands - remove a 50 foot oak tree that was growing into our detached garage and hung over an incredibly fragile tile roof. I was terrified that they would damage the tile roof but they were absolutely incredible. Gonzalo and his team were like an orchestrated ballet of ropes and chainsaws. Barely a leaf brushed the detached garage and they didn't even get close to the tiled roof. I have never seen anything like it and could not believe what a great job they did AND how quickly they worked. The whole thing was done in less than a day. PLUS they cleaned up as much as they could in my back yard and driveway, which both me and my neighbor (who shares the driveway) deeply appreciated. Do not use this tree service. I am a disabled Veteran on a limited budget. My dad had a tree fall in his yard and called Atlanta Tree Arbors. He recommended them to me and even paid most of the price of the tree removal for me. Rodolfo Soto and his crew came to my house and looked at the tree that had to be cut down and quoted me a price. I agreed to the price and was told when they would come. They did not come on the day that they quoted but a week later. They then realized that they would have to cut down another tree to get to the tree. All said and done They cut the tree down and then told me they had an emergency and would come back and haul the tree off. That was 4 months ago. I have yet to hear from them even though I have called and left ,messages. Do not use this tree service. read more

Dale & his team had been highly recommended by some friends, and he / they did not disappoint. I needed 3 big trees -- two dead 100' poplars, and one 90' pine that was hanging over my house -- removed. Got several quotes. Their quote was competitive, even v. a couple I got from folks that seemed fine (and also referred), but that didn't have complete insurance (i.e., liability & workers' comp). The complete insurance coverage made me more comfortable, as did the simply the professionalism of both Dale, when quoting, and the crew leader Isaias and the crew doing the work. This came into play early as there was a small mishap during the job -- a limb caused some slight damage during the removal, completely an odd happenstance -- but they ackowledged it immediately, fixed the minor damage w/in hours, and it was as if nothing had happened by the time they were gone. In summary, the price was competitive, they were professional, they arrived at the job on time, they communicated what they were doing, they seemed efficient, they cleaned up afterward.
