AWESOME! We needed movers to move us from our one story 3 bed 2 bath home, into a much larger, 2 story home. We had to change our schedule a couple of times due to escrow changes, and they were extremely flexible. Peter was great to work with over the phone and made the process simple. Our movers arrived on a cloudy cold day and moved the entire house quickly and with positive attitudes. When they got to the new house and realized that they would have to move MOST of our stuff (including appliances) upstairs to the second story, and it was POURING RAIN, they still stayed extremely positive, and did EVERYTHING we asked in a timely manner. The movers came on time and were friendly. They wrapped all furnitures properly for the move. They moved everything quickly, and were efficient but almost seemed a bit too rushed as we finished in 2.5 hours, even though I had minimum of 4 hours to move everything. Nothing broken, but did noticed after the move that two of my dining room chairs had new black stains on them. Also not detailed/thorough as I would've like as far as furniture placement upon moving to new home. They got the job done but it wasn't exceptional experience. read more

Peter and his crew are very hard workers. I sold my house and bought a new one. New house was going through escrow and was going to close at any time so I could move in. Did not have a specific date for move in. Peter worked with me to accommodate certain move in dates hoping escrow would close on these dates. Escrow gave me one day notice of me able to move in to new home As busy as Peter and his crew were, he worked with me through this whole process to make sure he was available to help me make the move. It's taken them 2 days unbelievable what they said would take them like 4/6hrs. 1st day they left without telling me anything. They were extremely bad, when I called Peter to have him help me with the people he sent. He became extremely disrespectful and that I am complaining about every person he sends here, without listening to the facts of the complaint. If you only need muscle and not skill or experience, then these college guys are for you. First, they showed up 30 minutes late. When they arrived, they didn't lay anything down to protect the floors. My husband had to help them move the heaviest furniture and was inside the truck helping them load so that everything could fit into the truck. In front of us, they're polite and respectful. When they don't see their customer, they cuss like they're in their frat house. They're unprofessional and inexperienced. Would never use them again and would never recommend them. read more

If I could give five negative stars I would. When I first hired the Greek Movers, the schedule was laid out in advance. We had a two week wait between move out and move in. Peter didn't appear at all on packing and load day. He left it all to his inexperienced and unprepared crew. They had a uhaul van and had to make more than one trip for more boxes. I was informed that our belongings would be placed in a storage unit on a temporary basis. So, load at our house, unload at storage unit, load back up for trip to new location. Because of all the additional handling, several items were damaged or broken on arrival. A dresser that was at least 90 years old was destroyed, boxes that should have withstood dual handling were decimated because of improper packing. If you need to move and want to hire the Greek Movers please reconsider your choice. I wish I had. We also had to pay for an extra night in a hotel because they were a day late. BTW we didn't move any furniture, it was all just boxes. read more

If I could, I'd give Greek Movers NO stars. I booked a local move with them almost three weeks before my move. Price was reasonable imo and I was told the date would work for them and to expect the movers to show up between 2:30-3:30. Well, the day of my scheduled move, I called Peter at about 3:00 to make sure everything was a go and Peter reassured me the movers had between 2:30-3:30 to show up and they'd be there. Hung up with Peter and got a phone call from DJ a few minutes later to let me know my move had been double-booked and no one would be showing up that day to move me. Unbelievable!! He told me there was a chance the movers would be available the next day, a Sunday, but no guarantee. Are you sh***t'ing me, that's how they do business?? I took DJ's number down and called him the following day to make sure they were showing up that day and of course, I got his vm and surprise, surprise, no call back. I'd still be waiting for Greek Movers to show up based on how they do business. Everyone I've told about this situation is floored and can't believe this happened to me. No, my move wouldn't have brought them much business since it was a local move, but what frickin a**holes for not even letting me know the day before that they had screwed up and would be a no show; I was left hanging and they really couldn't care less. I emailed Peter to let him know how disappointed and angry I was at my treatment and he did email me back but I deleted the email, couldn't care less what he has to say. I wouldn't believe anything he had to tell me anyway. So if you're moving locally, I wouldn't recommend you contact these people unless you have a definite back up plan because there's a huge chance they won't show up. In the end, I had to have my 80 year old dad help me move; I didn't want to burden him but the situation was a terrible one that Greek Movers put me into; I expected this company to be professional based on their predominantly glowing reviews but I was proven very, very wrong. read more

I will say the guys worked hard considering it was New Year's Eve and they didn't finish until around 9:00 pm. Here is the reason for the poor review. We paided $150.00 dollars to hook up the washer and dryer and it was done wrong. Owner was contacted and never returned call. My daughter had to pay someone else to do it RIGHT. They loaded up everything on the truck except for a few small things that we told them that we were taking in our vehicles. I was on a tight budget and could only afford to pay for 5 hours worth of work with 4 movers ($139/hr). I had already rescheduled the move twice! On the moving day they arrived with only 3 movers which initially made me upset. But those 3 worked so fast and efficiently managing to complete the move in a little over 3 hours while only charging me their rate for 3 movers ($109/hr)! The only cons were that they left a little scratch on my stairs, peeled a little bit of my wall paint and one of them talked too much during the move. But these are college students and I should have supervised them better. Also, their mistakes can be easily repaired. They told me to notify their boss for compensation (don't worry about it) and they didn't charge me double drive time as well as stopped their timer even though they were still working to assemble my desks. I am just so impressed with how fast they worked to move all my belongings which packed an entire 26" truck! I wish I had been better financially prepared to let them do their job at a slower pace but I gave the 3 of them $60 to split amongst themselves for a job well done. If you're looking for speed and efficiency at an affordable price then this is the company for you. But for their price and quality of work, they deserve customers who are better financially prepared to allow them to work at a slower pace. There are also no hidden fees. read more
