We dined at Atelier 72 the very same night as Sam Y., the gentleman who says he became ill. We learned about his claim when we returned to the restaurant on our last night in Paris a few nights later, having decided it was our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood where we were staying. Both nights we had delightful meals, ordering many small plates to enjoy the variety of tastes offered. We particularly liked the salmon and the ceviche, and the meat-eater among us loved the little sliders. The bistro is small, friendly, relaxed and comfortable, the kind of place that makes you wish you lived nearby. Both the food and ambience are light and fresh, unlike some of the heavy dishes we were served at other places. I am very sorry that Sam became ill, but blaming the restaurant is not necessarily true, and we wanted to make sure that "the other side" was heard. read more
