I've been taking my vehicles to ATD for over 25 years but I'm looking for a new place to go. It was the BEST when Shannon and Craig owned it! I've been in twice since the new owners took over and I'm very disappointed. Both times I wanted to get the water reservoir for my windshield wipers fixed because it leaks. The first time they told me it wasn't leaking and this time they didn't check it. This was the MAIN reason I took it in. Boo! I knew the original owners sold the business about 6ish months ago. Called to make an appointment for an oil change and summer once-over. A different voice answered and so Inquired and was told the (old) owners were on vacation. If they lie to you to get you in the door - what happens after you give them your keys? I'm so bummed. We've used ATD for YEARS and loved their honesty and trustworthiness that's hard to find in a lot of mechanic shops. Unfortunately, the last time I took it in was the last time. The price I was given over the phone did not match the price he told me when I got there. He took off a half hour of labor when I confronted him, and when I got home, the price I wrote down from his phone call was the exact price I paid (to the penny) AFTER he removed a half hour of labor. I left feeling like I did something wrong when all I wanted was to pay what he originally told me. My friend who is a mechanic by trade looked at our car this weekend for something else, and found that for the engine mount ATD replaced, they didn't put all the bolts in on the driver's side, and the mounts are aftermarket and don't have the heat shields the original mounts have to protect them from the exhaust. Such a bummer when I paid over $700 for poor choice of parts, and they tried to overcharge me. I miss the previous owners. read more

I had a piece hanging from under my car and Atd was the closest place with "great" reviews so I stopped in just to get it checked and make sure it was safe for me to drive. However they couldn't even take 5 minutes to let me know if it was safe for me to drive myself and my 14 year old niece back across town. Extremely unprofessional if you ask me. I went a couple doors down to D.W. Autoworks where Dave stopped what he was doing to at least just check to make sure my car was safe to drive. Now that's a mechanic I would go back to!! read more

I have been going to ATD automotive for a couple years now and am extremely satisfied at the service both Craig and Shannon provide. They always make sure to take care of my automotive needs and communicate with me every step of the way. I never have to worry about hidden fees or surprise charges as they always make sure to let me know in advance what I will pay. They never do any major repair work on your car without your permission. (As it should be but, I have had other automotive companies do this to me before and then was stuck with an outrageous bill) Fortunately for me, their business is right by my place of work. I work with several people who take their cars here and its close to work so I thought I would give them a try. I had to have my car towed there this morning. Shannon gave me a number to a great tow truck guy (Ernie with EC Towing) who charged me $60 FLAT RATE (no mileage charges) so already I am happy with ATD. Turns out I needed a new starter which they installed the same day. I dropped my car off at 9, picked it up at 3:00 the same day without an appointment and the rates were VERY reasonable. I've changed out starters before so I was more than happy with their labor rate/time it took. They also fixed something else for free...it was nothing big but they did it without charging me just because they were already under the hood. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. This family owned and operated business has been a life saver for us. Dealership costs to repair things on our older, after warranty, Honda Pilot were way to high. I would compare costs and ATD was always cheaper. When they replaced something, they would show me the part and why it was in need of replacement. Craig is awesome and so are his wife and mother in the front office. They also work on our Ford F450 and, again, save us money when compared to the dealer. We have even had the cars in to check on something we thought was wrong, and when our fears were dispelled, there was no charge. Good, honest, fairly priced auto care. read more

Well, the "alternative to dealer" certainly did not live up to it's name sake. In fact, they cemented every negative idea that comes about when a woman with a child, in a semi-needy situation arrives. My wife arrived to have with the drivers side window down, during a rain storm, and unable to be rolled up. After a quick diagnosis she was informed that the repair would be almost $400!!! As an automotive dealer employee myself I know that that is nothing but pure predatory pricing! So, after reviewing the repair need with my service department I was informed that it cost me HALF of the estimate provided by ATD. Needless to say, I will have my service dept take care of it. (FYI, I live over 40 miles away from home and thought I could save some money, hence the reason I had her take it to ATD) Lesson learned: ATD is a predator on unsuspecting people that they think they can take advantage of. Very sad example for the rest of the automotive repair community. read more

Spent 1400 two weeks ago to fix my charger. A week later it's broke down again. Took to a different shop to look at, they recommended to take it back to ATD and give them the chance to make it right. So after towing back to them i get call saying that it wan't their fault and had another long estimate to fix car again. I would never recommend this shop to anybody who wants to be treated honestly. They were able to fixed the AC in my truck and get me back on the road within one day during the middle of the summer when I was traveling from Southern California to Utah and then through Phoenix. I had a ton of doubt built up from other GC owners about the reliability of a Hemi GC after a valve job. From the glowing referral, to the pickup the staff and mechanics were second to none. Craig was extremely knowledgable, clean, and professional in every aspect. The GC is running better than when I bought her 2 years ago. I was pressed for time. My truck was due for an emission check and my "check engine" light was on. I had brought it into a well known National Automotive Chain only to be charged an expensive diagnostic fee. When I asked if this repair would fix my problem their (National Chain)response was they will not know until they did it and I paid for what they tried. A friend recommended Atd. Brought the truck in, charged me a modest diagnostic fee, turned out the National Chain was wrong. Atd diagnosed the problem in a very short time. Total repair bill was considerably less than the National chain. National Chain simply connected a scanner to my truck and read the code.Adt actually worked on the truck to diagnose the problem.Passed the emission first time through. Strongly recommend Adt for any mechanical problems. read more
