We have used AK Automotive for 10 years. Honest and reliable, which seems to be difficult in the auto repair industry. I even have my kids take their cars here for regular oil changes and service work. Good place for kids to learn how to be treated and informed on their car repairs. They will walk you through if it is worth repairing something which I highly respect. read more

AK Automotive - Auto Repair Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Arlo and his team at AK automotive deserve 10 stars. They are the most knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy, honest and generous, polite and wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. If it is up to me I will never trust another person with any of my vehicles. They have been so extremely good to me and everyone that I know has had the same experience. I don't know what else to say because words cannot capture how wonderful they have been and it is so hard in today's world toFind a mechanic of this caliber. read more

As someone who knows nothing about cars, I didn't realize how important it was to find a mechanic that you can really trust until I brought my car here. Arlo went above and beyond for me and has always been straight forward. I totally trust that I am not being taken advantage of, and that my car is in the best hands possible. I would HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

Excellent service and support. The best repair service I've had in Arizona. I highly recommend these guys. Believe me if they can't fix or find the problem, you don't have one!!! read more

I came in for a $200 AC issue on my Santa Fe. When I left, after it was "fixed" the transmission shifter wouldn't shift. They took my car to a transmission shop and told me it would need to be rebuilt for about $1600, this took a about a week to find out. The day I came to pick my car up because it was totaled, it was miraculously able to start shifting again, after I said I wouldn't pay the $1600, and I had the triple A tow truck with me. I can't trust them with my car, I was about to be out a fair chunk of change for something that wasn't broken. read more

This place is great. They are actually honest. I am always leery with mechanics, but they have proven themselves to me to be above board. They do great work at good prices. I would definitely refer anyone to them. read more

Been going to AK for almost 4 years now. Great shop & great mechanics. Big thank you to Arlo & Derek for always taking care of me!

These guys can always be trusted to give you a fair quote and do great work and hold up warranties

The only mechanic team I trust. I thought my engine was dead and Arlo's team brought my baby back to life. Saved me so much money and Arlo always gives a fair price. It's the first mechanic I've been to where I paid less than the initial quote. Doesn't happen much but it struck a cord because it's never happened before. read more

Had my car towed to AK automotive after deciding to not have it worked on at the dealership due to my want to use an aftermarket clutch instead of an OEM unit. I'm very meticulous with any and all things having to do with my car. All of our business was done over the phone and I was at ease every step of the way. My car is nearly 10 years old and needs lots of work but they help me figure out what I have to do now - and what can wait until later. They are completely up-front and have integrity in their work. I was beyond satisfied with my visit to AK Auto. I showed up middle of the day with no appointment. I told them I didn't know what the heck was wrong but I was hoping to at least have someone take a look at my car to let me know what needed to be repaired and get an estimate. They said give them about an hour and they would call with their findings. They called within 45 minutes to let me know what needed to be done. To my surprise they said they were even able to get ALL the work done same day. My favorite part of the whole experience is it didn't feel like they were trying to upsell me. They kept me updated through the whole process and informed me of my options, but didn't pressure me one way or the other. To top it off, the owner Arlo double checked all the work before sending us on our way. Overall, best experience I've had at an auto shop. I gimped my car in at about 12:30 and it was back to me by 6:00. This included them needed two parts delivered and the fact that they squeezed me into their full schedule. I will be going to them for any future needs! read more
