This is the "high" season for HVAC, we are thankful for the fast response!!. From the initial communication to finished job, it was about 23 hours. Fast!! Omar was very thorough, diagnosed the first and underlying issues that caused the A/C not to blow cold air. Well, with a few new parts, it is working just fine. I have to start by saying, this is one of the most honest companies I have ever had to work with. After receiving 7 quotes to repair my unit, ranging from ($5,500 - $16,000), Omar and his team (Erik) came in and broke down why the unit was failing me. Within 20mins, they had understood exactly what was wrong, quoted the repair at $300!!!, and had my house freezing cold in less than an hour. I had no AC for 6 months, wish I knew this company from the jump. 3 years later, I was receiving some condensation resulting in wet filters and floors. We have had our A/C unit out for almost a year! Last summer was horrible in my home. We had several techs come out and all would provide different diagnostic with pricey quotes, each one seemed more deceitful, it was a mess. My hunt for a honest company was over. My A/C went out last week and I turned to Yelp for help. Several companies responded, but in the end I chose Atara Mechnical. Both Eric and Billy came down to asses the situation. The consultation was $45 for this service, which I thought was a great bargain. They were both courteous and professional. I also spoke with Brittany on the phone. She was polite and turnaround time was less then 10 minutes. I am thankful that the problem ended up being an Edison issue. With Eric's troubleshooting and the assistance of their electrician, David, help determine it was a problem with deficient voltage coming in from the electrical system. ATARA Mechanical responded to my request for a quote right away. They charge $50 to assess what the situation is. So I agreed. They went up to my lake house, figured out the problem. My heater wasn't working, and Omar diagnosed the issue and repaired it. Normally you get the assessment charge credited to your final bill, they charged it separately. So I paid $50, plus the $125 labor fee. That wasn't something i was expecting. So, when you call them, ask them if that charge comes separately. read more
