Had dinner on a Sunday evening around 7pm, not many people in the restaurant. I had the Khao Soi soup with beef, which was delicious; creamy with a rich curry taste. My wife had the spicy udon basil with shrimp which was equally delicious! It's been open for 5 years but we had no idea about it, probably because of the location off Quebec. But we will absolutely be back and/or get take out. I can't wait to try their drunken noodles and large selection of curry dishes. Highly recommend At Nine Thai! My only 'issue' would be they don't serve alcohol. A beer or wine would have been great with our dinner. But hey, there's always take out next time! read more

One of the best bowls of Khao Soi around! If you have to order one thing, I highly recommend the Khao Soi (coconut curry soup with egg noodles). The broth is so fragrant and full of flavor, and I love the different bites of crispy noodles and the added zing of the red onion, cilantro, and lime. I also tried some of the Papaya Salad (a bright and refreshing appetizer) and the Tamarind & Garlic Fish (fried fish filet pieces with a light sweet and sour tamarind sauce). The menu also offers a bunch of different curries, which I'd love to try next time. I noticed a few recent reviews complaining about the service, but I had a good experience here! This is hands down my favorite place for khao soi. It's a bit of a trek but every time I'm in the area for dinner this is my first pick. I've brought many people hear and they all really enjoy the food. Service is good. It's a small spot, and always filled when I come. They do spice levels 1-5 and will clarify that's American level spice. I don't think I've had anything but the khao soi because it is just that good! read more

Upon walking in, this seemed like a typical Thai restaurant, nice staff, nice ambiance. We ordered the Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki chicken was (no exaggeration) one of the worst dishes I have ever paid for. The chicken was cold, flavorless, and over cooked. And sauce was bland. Coming from Seattle, I have had lots of great teriyaki, this was just crap on a plate. The pineapple fried rice was incredibly dry, and lacking in much flavor. Did pick up pad Thai and it was delicious! Spicy levels are not to be messed with! I got a 2 and his and got a 5. Two was perfect for me. He got the crispy chicken which was similar to the breading of orange chicken without the sauce. Would recommend getting normal chicken. Wonderful portions for the price! read more

3.5 star experience. The shrimp spring roll had good flavor. One of them wasn't completely surrounded by the wrapper but they were fine. I wanted the normal dumplings but they were out. I ordered the special dumplings. The presentation was a little odd on skewers and they were just warm. Obviously not prepared to order. The flavor was nice but they would have been better hot. The pad Thai was just ok. Flavor decent but very wet with too much sauce. I've started traveling to this area often and I'll keep looking for my top picks in the area. Upon my arrival I paid for my food and they began to start cooking my dinner. Waited over 30 minutes past the time they told me to arrive. While on business travel n Denver, our group decided to go here for dinner after our work meetings. I love Thai Food so checked Yelp reviews and the menu for what to eat. The Khai Soi was highly rated so I ordered that for my meal and my co-workers ordered the vegetable Pad Thai and Green Curry Chicken. We also order crispy spring rolls and the Papaya Salad which I never had; it was super spicy so be warned. All the dishes were prepared hot and delicious. My favorite was the Khai Soi with chicken. This was the first time I've tried this dish and I was so happy and the broth flavor was amazing. When I got back home I ordered this same dish from my local Thai restaurant. It was good but not like what I experienced in Denver. Now I've been craving this dish and on the search for it in H-Town...LOL. Anyway, I know there are mixed review but isn't that the case wherever you go. I wish I could try more items; so maybe next time when I travel there. The service was good as well so 5 Stars for me. Absolutely fantastic. We long for good legit Thai. We've found our new go-to! The food is terrific and not flavorless fare that some establishments tend toward out in the 'burbs. The spice levels are easy to get right when requesting. Staff is very kind and helpful even though they were flooded with customers each time we've been there... they remembered us and even what we ordered. Nice to feel welcomed but not overly attended to. While it feels "undiscovered" or sort of off the beaten path, it's not a dive, and the ambience is pleasant and warm... it's a nice restaurant. Clearly word is getting out because a lot of people came through for take out while we in-house customers were keeping them busy too. I'm at home visiting my family, and they insisted I tried At Nine Thai. I'm so glad we did! We ordered take-out and everything was absolutely delicious. My Top Three Choices Are: *Khao Soi: WOW WOW WOW. I did some research on what to get here, and lots of reviews said this was the best dish to get. And yeah, I think it was! The soup base was so flavorful, the crunchy onions and noodles were such great additions to the soup. I've never had this soup before and I definitely will be trying this again at other restaurants. *Steamed Veg with Beef: A simple dish that just absolutely hit the spot. Not heavy on the sauce at all and with rice it was a great dish. *Pad Se Ew: Another delicious dish! The noodles were so flavorful, and I added chicken as my protein. I had read a lot of mixed reviews of At Nine Thai, but I gotta tell you, this place is worth checking out. read more

Best Thai around. The restaurant was elegant, inviting and scrumptious. We started off with perfectly executed Thai teas. Rich Thai tea with luxurious cream on top. We ordered the plush, flaky looking, curry puffs next. They were accompanied with a wonderful clear dipping sauce which was dotted with cucumber, onion and peppers. The curry puffs were perfectly fried, flaky, and had a tender interior of potato and vegetable with a hint of yellow curry powder. My husband ordered the Salmon Choochee entree with sticky rice. It was enrobed in a delicious sauce although he said the thinner side of the salmon was a bit over cooked. I loved the bites I tried. I ordered the resplendent Panang Curry with chicken and sticky rice. My sauce was phenomenally well balanced. It had actual kaffir lime leaves flavoring it!! Very rare to find in the area. The flavor was outstanding, not bland and thin or too thickly coconut-y. It had intensely rich red curry flavor and was perfectly spicy at a level 2. (If you're a mild food person, I recommend level 1.) Lastly, a word about the rice. I wasn't sure if they would serve actual sticky aka glutinous rice. But they do!! I haven't found many restaurants around here that don't just put regular jasmine rice in a steamer to "sticky" it up, so I was overjoyed. Very authentic!! Note: Real sticky rice is very unique in that it stays together when it's served, you must break it up a bit and when you do, it never gets bloated like other rice, but allows all the curry flavor to enter its crevasses and is bursting with flavor. This Thai food rivals the Thai food I've eaten in Chinatowns in San Francisco and Boston. It's so flavorful, so authentic and was a delight to be served. Service it's self was welcoming, happy, pleasant and not intrusive. We were checked on at the perfect times. Our food came out fresh and hot and also well timed and I simply can't wait to return and explore more of the menu! read more
