Just visited AtHome for the first time ever. (There was one where we used to live but I never got around to going there). My friend and I wandered around for awhile because there is SO MUCH TO LOOK AT. Possibly due to Covid-19 and everyone wanting to redo their homes during this quarantine, many areas seemed bare... especially the outdoor area. I found some items I was looking for: a pillow, some baskets, an outdoor rug and a piece of wall art. Prices are great and most of my stuff was on clearance! My friend had purchased everything for me as a house warming gift and I needed to return the rug because it was too small. I waited in like 20 minutes, got up to the register and was told I needed the card used to make the return. I explained my friend from out of town bought it for me and it was too small. They would NOT take the return without the card used... They didn't even let me just have store credit. Very disappointing. So my friend won't be back for another 6 weeks and then we can go make the return. Ugh. read more

Finally! You know you're an adult (and single), when you are this happy for a home decor store. I hated driving to Sugar Land or Webster to peruse the warehouse of home accessories. Now it's less than 5 miles from my lair! This place looks way better than the other locations, of which many were takeovers of the existing Garden Ridge locations before the but out. It opened Thursday so my experience is probably not to be duplicated in later reviews by others. Everything is new! It smells fresher than a new pair of leather shoes. This place was stocked, organized and sanitized. Not a thing was out of place. Every employee was smiling, helpful and talkative. Tosin (I may not have spelled this right) checked me out. Very nice gal. One thing I noticed was that the cart return stations were a bit spread out rather than evenly and conveniently placed. We just bought a house and I swear I'm going to go broke here. I want it all. Definitely come out and take a look. Make sure your in no rush because you can spend more than an hour checking out all the stuff they have. Will def come back to decorate my house with more things. Especially for the holidays. The Pearland location used to be my favorite store until yesterday. I was harassed in the parking lot (next to my car) by the manager. She insisted to see the receipt of my purchase. I didn't know that now they chase you to your car to verify that you paid. I was with my mother!!! We bought a $14 pot for a plant at home. I guess we look like we can't even afford to buy something like that. Manager didn't even apologize. She just assumed we walked out without paying. She should've checked with the cashier first, but she didn't. My advice is that she needs to get educated and check her unconscious bias. Shouldn't be a Manager. I'm not going back to this store. The universe does not want to let me be great..... I love shopping at Hobby Lobby and now this At Home is closer to me - my poor wallet never sees a break. This store is like most of the others - there is everything you may think of or need for home decorating and probably some things you never considered. Just walking around the kitchen section, I found a couple of things I didn't know I needed until I saw it..... (grin). The only take away I have in terms of stars is the checkout process - it's like a cattle call and there is no separate process to return items - everything is done through one line which has a variable number of cashiers open. Meh - not a big deal, but an annoyance. Anyway - WINNER!!!! read more

Love this store!!! I loved Garden Ridge and I love At Home! I came to the soft opening of this store as well as the Grand Opening. Scored $75 in gift cards !! I was one happy girl. You can find so many different decorations and furniture or even rugs here. They have so many options and way less than you can find online. With my gift cards I bought some reindeer for my dining table as well as some tall reindeer for my living room. I have purchased some chairs for my office here as well as wall decor. They have hundreds of options to choose from and make sure you have lots of time to look around. It's amazing!!! They also have weekly deals on items in-store and I always think it's a great deal! They just had christmas wreaths for 10 bucks! #winning read more

After moving from Arizona to Texas I had to replace a lot of things as it was cheaper to buy new than to move it the long distance. At Home is a huge store!! Massive store with just about everything! They have everything from lawn furniture to bedding, cabinets, lamps, decor, rugs, decorations, pet supplies, linens etc! This location is well stocked, organized, clean, and the staff is friendly and very helpful! Prices and inventory is found on their website and I really liked that the website shows their products and availability at each location- made it easy to know if what I was looking for was in stock at a specific store. Today (9/11/23) around 11:45am, I walked into " At Home" in Pearland. Tx returning some items. I ask the kind attendant sorting the front entrance items where do I go for returns. She kindly pointed towards the cashier closest to the front entrance so I glanced around and observed there was no one else in line except the customer the cashier (Kimberly) was helping. Given I had very fragile bulk items to return, I kindly stood away from the customer and patiently waited for nearly 7 min near the automated handicap carts were stored. During, this time the cashier (Kimberly) never acknowledged nor says good morning, I'll be right with you absolutely "nothing". By this time, after 7 min, additional customers were in line waiting also further near the other empty cashier registers. Immediately after the cashier (Kimberly) finished the first customer, she looks at me and says " you need to stand in line" which is totally unacceptable. I had to pause and stand there for a few minutes under total disbelief. I then shared I am in line and had been here for nearly 7 min and you saw me walk in and there was no one in line. She took immediate attitude and demonstrated total disrespect to me as a paying customers. The lady standing in line behind me was also appalled by the cashier rude behavior. The owners really need to hear how this cashier is mistreating their customers. Her behavior was unwarranted and unnecessary and could have been avoided had she shown some sign of kindness towards her customers. I do not expect any businesses to allow employees to treat customers in this ill manner fashion. Please help address this cashier hateful attitude towards your customers. To bring complete resolution to this unfair/unfortunate issue that shouldn't have occurred I provided this cashier with 2 options; (1) respectively refund my money or (2) seek help by calling a manager because any other options were not viable. Of course by then, she proceeded to refund my money. After leaving the store, while still in the parking lot, I contacted the store and ask for a manager and reported this issue to him (I think his name was Wilson-unsure). Nonetheless, he stated he would follow up with the cashier to address this issue. At the end of the day, I just wanted to share my concerns with others to avoid any future reoccurrences with this rude cashier. read more

First time at the store and not sure if they have one in the Dallas area. Went here the day after thanksgiving. The parking lot wasn't bad but when you go in the store the line was super long. They have a lot of holiday decorations and items you will need for the home. The prices here are ok and some things were way over priced. Saw some FAKE plants for $100!! That's crazy! My family and I grabbed a few things but seen the line was longer than before that we decided to just leave and come back another day. It looks like they had all of their registers opened but it also looked liked the line wasn't moving either. This store is fairly new from what I was told and there is only one in the area so that's probably another reason why it was so packed in the store. They wasn't even having any Black Friday deals either. I like it and will definitely visit one again if they have it back home. read more

It took two cart-full's, and all three of these fine young gentleman to carry her items out and load her suv! I can't wait to come back once I find my new place! I have shopped the Webster location for as long as it has been open, but decided to try the Pearland one out. I wanted to see if they had anything different. Stupid mistake. Manager was rude and employees lied to us. I read reviews and it seems to be a pattern with this manager. There was no resolution of the issue and the manager is rude and seems to have some sort of God complex. I will stick to my Webster store from now on. read more

I agree with the previous posts. The location in Pearland is very subpar. I have not experienced an issue with the manager (didn't need to speak to them) but the staff is almost nonexistent. And the store was also a mess when I was last there. I suggest that if anyone is having an issue with any store that you contact corporate office but do it via email. Calling is almost as if you're not saying anything and get everyone's names and dates that you had the experience I've always found that helpful. Some management and staff don't care because maybe they are on their last legs there are about to quit anyway. You never know. It sad to say but I almost expect mediocre service when I go into large warehouse centers like that. read more

My family and I were very excited to see the new store in our area. I loved the unique décor but the restrooms were in horrible condition. In one stall the toilet paper dispenser was on the floor and there was toilet paper on the floors throughout. I didn't see any employees the whole time were their until we got to the register. That guy had a dry personality and didn't bother to say thank you much less inquire about our visit. I like the store but you should start interviewing for new employees. read more

This store is an absolute mess! I went in to look for rugs found the one I loved except I couldn't get my cart to where it was because there were things all over the floor blocking my path to it. No employees in sight anywhere but could hear them laughing in a group off in the distance. I gave up. I left my basket where it was stuck at and walked back to the front of the store. All I saw was aisles and aisles of things thrown in the shelves and all over the floor. Not something you want to see at 9 am when they first open. Zack, the manager of the Pearland (Texas) location refused to sell me a floor model tree today because he was "too busy" and it was the last one of its kind left (D26). I had just come from the much busier Webster location where I witnessed them selling the floor models. I drove over 30 minutes to this location because the other location was out and he was very rude. I tried to explain this to him and he didn't care. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to get him to even come over to us in the beginning. At first he said he'd get the tree but it wouldn't be in the box. Then he walked away and came back and said he was too busy to sell it to me. He never even offered to take it down later when he was less busy and let me pick it tomorrow or any kind of compromise. He just kept saying no. He was extremely rude. After all this I said I was going to call corporate and he said ok and went back to his office. He wasn't even on the sales floor and yet he was "too busy" to provide good customer service. He treated me like I was an inconvenient waste of his time. The tree was almost 300 and I was planning on spending at least that much more. Zack has no business being a manager. Now I don't have a tree because he couldn't be bothered to make an attempt at any form of customer service. I'm terribly disappointed in the way I was treated and that I won't be able to get the tree I wanted even though it was at the store. read more

I have been a customer a the Home store every since it opened in Pearland. Today, I had the worst expierience any customer could have. I tried to take back a lamp that didn't fit with my decor. Unfortunately, I didn't have the receipt and paid cash or debit. The person who checked me out was the same person who helped me get the floor lamp down! He was rude that day, like I was bothering him. I just thought the was having a bad day. I worked in Customer Service for 26 years and never had any one on my staff act the way he did. He could not find the purchase. He made me go get the sku number, which I did. He told me I could only get a store credit. I felt like if they entered under the correct profile they would have been able to find it. When questioned him if there was a store manager I could speak to, he replied he was it. There was another employee had seen what happened, he called the store manager right away to see if we could come to some agreement. I was a very angry when finding out he lied and there were three managers in the store. I took the pen and and tossed it behind the counter. Zach pick up a object and started to throw the object and stopped. I told him I was going to file charges if he didn't get his superiors. Robert, the store manager at the time did help me. I usually don't complain because I know everyone has there bad days! I am still trying to get in touch with corporate due to the nature of what happend. I feel very strongly that Zach should never be in Customer Service in his life! If I do go back to The Home Store and he is still employed, I will walk out and NEVER shop there again. I know the Customer is not always right but what type of employees are working at this location? They need to screen their employees a little more closer! If Zach doesn't like working with retail/customers maybe he should find a Comstuction job where he can get his butt whipped instead of threating women! What a disappointment! read more
