Dear AT&T Mill Plain, I am writing to formally report an issue that occurred during an in-store visit to purchase a new iPhone using an AT&T trade-in promotion. During the transaction, the employee informed me that purchasing iPhone insurance was required under a "new AT&T policy" in order to complete the upgrade. I was explicitly told that I had no option to decline the insurance at the time of purchase. I later learned that this statement was false and that device insurance is optional. Additionally, my wireless plan was changed from Starter SL to Extra EL, resulting in an increased monthly charge. This change was made without my informed consent and without disclosure that it was optional or that it would increase my monthly bill. Based on my review of AT&T's published promotion terms, neither the insurance purchase nor the plan upgrade was required to qualify for the device trade-in credits. This store is awful. The reps don't seem to know what to do when a problem arises and directs me to customer support to redeem my free upgrade, but I came in for customer support??? If you call the store number, it rings once and tells you no one is available at this time and immediately hangs up. Save yourself the headache and time and go to a different store. read more

No one seems to know what's going on. We wanted to switch from Verizon to AT&T on a prepaid plan. The only sales lady there, dressed in a sweatshirt, said it couldn't be done at the retail store unless we go with a postpaid plan. Could not provide a location for a corporate store that we had to go to, not even by customer service by calling the 800 number. Feels like they don't care for prepaid business. I then called the store at Cascade Station which was also a retail store and was told of course they can do that. We went there and they got it done, no problem. Will elaborate more later this week as excellent customer service is becoming less common. Bought my husband an Apple Watch and could not get it to connect to his cellular plan. After exhausting every online resource I could find I decided to take it to an AT&T store. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and were told there would be a little wait. No big deal as he was the only person on the floor. In what I feel was a very short amount of time Trent introduced himself and asked how he could help. I don't feel bad because it also gave him trouble too. However he not only got it connected but while he was working on it he was giving me some tips on his watch. He was professional, greeted everyone that came in and informed them of the wait. Even when some customers got rude and left he was still polite and professional. Trent you are amazing and thank you so much for helping us. read more

I was at this store 1 week ago, I left extremely happy!! Although I didn't have the iPad in my hand I was assured it would be in my hands by Friday the 9th, Saturday, the 10th AT THE LATEST!! Not to mention I got to choose everything I wanted down to the color, memory EVERYTHING! I was a happy camper! I had waited since Christmas to get this IPad, due to it being out of stock. So I'm super excited. Chelsea Bayer was so nice too, but then again ALL SALES PEOPLE ARE!! I just went in for an upgrade! Nothing else! But as soon as I got back to my car, my excitement was short lived. My phone and IPad that I STILL HAD DIDNT WORK! What? I didn't tell her to turn off my services! So we pull over I look up AT&T and I find out that this girl doesn't upgrade my line, NO SHE COMPLETELY SHUT IT DOWN AND REOPENED A NEW ONE! Now I'm told I won't have my IPad until I don't know when? I keep getting messages it's delayed! No ETA! This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! If my line wouldn't have been REACTlVED I would have had NO PHONE! All because she wanted a COMMISSION? I'm disabled, and I needed this for this past weekend to start an online class. I was guaranteed delivery. But now find out there in no ETA, on top of that this sales rep was going to leave me without a phone line! I was very happy with AT&T but now this is inexcusable! I have only had one experience with this store, and it will be my last! Had an accessory (otterbox defender clip) break less than 2 weeks after the one year warranty expired. My husband went in to the store to ask them if they could make an exception, or if they happened to have an extra clip in the back. The salesperson (Max? I believe) gave him a hard time and told him that a manager wouldn't override anything because they 'didn't know him.' About an hour after my husband got home, I called the store and asked for a manager - the same salesman mentioned above (who is not a manager) got on the phone.. Conversation went nowhere but he had the audacity to try to sell me a case at 50% off like he was doing us a favor, when in reality they were already on clearance for 50% off! Shady much?! I don't feel like we were asking for anything unreasonable - all the extra bs and him pretending to be a manager was uncalled for. Anyway, I called the store where the case was originally purchased (40 or so minutes away) and they swapped the case out with NO problem. Consistency is what makes a business successful... read more

Such terrible reviews, I feel bad for the other people. My experience was good. I had a question about upgrading my phone via the app (the fine print was confusing). Rather than calling and sitting on hold I figured I'd just go to the store to ask someone in person. Even though it was the first pre-order day for iphones, the store was practically empty and someone helped me immediately. They did suggest some alternative products before I left, but they weren't pushy to get me to switch. read more

Our experience in this store since the new release of the iPhone12 has been awful! Don't go to this store to learn anything new about this phone and what their current stock is! We got the same salesman twice and both times he acted as if he couldn't be bothered with helping us. And actually told us at one point we would need to buy a case to figure out if the new charger works a he didn't know the answer to our questions. Never bothered to offer to look up our account to see if we qualify for the ATT promotions. TWICE! never again. ATT needs to correct this. People must know about the terrible service as both times we went there was no one else in the store--empty! They lost a potential sale of 3 phones! read more

Every time I come in, it is something different that's wrong that they can't do anything about. They add services we specifically say no to. Turn over is horrendous so even when you get their card to help you personally- they won't be there. And they honestly don't give a crap if you stay or if you go. Horrible service overall. My dad recently upgraded phones and I had thought the bill would be higher. I had asked two different employees at two different stores stating that the bill should look the same. Of course, the bill was a little bit higher due to changing over to the smart phone. I would have appreciated if they hadn't known the answer, they would figure it out instead of providing a false one. Over the years, AT&T would add various things on my dad's plan without notifying or explaining the additional charges. I have had to call multiple times to cancel things that we never added. Headaches. Headaches. Headaches. The saleswoman tried sending us home with a SIM card that was ALREADY activated. So after having a whole day with no service, we finally went back and she gaves us the right SIM card.. But in order to make sure the phone works, she pushed a random phone number on my old phone.. Resulting in her calling someone I don't even talk to and never wanted to begin with. Oh and that person she called, ended up calling me back and trying to start trouble. First things first, this store is a corporate store MEANING you are empowered with abilities authorized stores are not. I actually have a normal rep I use name Tammy Ascher who is absolutely amazing and goes over and beyond, however my partner and I could only make it on this particular day. We were greeted great then was handed off to a sales consultant name LEO. This person was only interested in selling devices lets hope because his customer service skills were absolutely unacceptable at best. Leo explained we could do everything from our own phones. I explained there were some complications and that we would like someone @ AT&T to help. Leo grabbed my personal phone dialed 611 on the loudest volume of speaker phone available and let us sit there for 4 mins. Then when the agent answered he pushed the phone over to my partner and sat there never once accessing my account or asking any security questions. I was also in the store to see why my promotional items from a recent purchase had not arrived yet. His answer was we don't do Promotions call the manufacture yourself here is the number, which later I called and found to the number to not even belong to Samsung company at all. Last but not least there was a simple matter of a $30.00 credit for a billing mistake AT&T made and apologized for. His answer without looking into my account was I am out of credits today come back and see the person who sold you the phone originally. My entire family is on my account and my monthly bill is probably half of some peoples mortgages so lets just say I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED!!! It looks like several others have had this problem as well so I guess it is time to complain to headquarters and file multiple complaints as well as reviews so that this store will become compliant with the standards of AT&T... Save your self time , money, and a lot of anxiety by not shopping this location at all. If I could give this store a -10 I would. A 1 star is WAY TO DESERVING. This ATT and frankly the corporation itself is the most corrupt, dishonest, conniving, money stealing, unaccountable business I've ever made the mistake to contract with. My gut feeling intially told me DO NOT CONTRACT WITH ATT. But I thought what's the worst that can happen. I regret not listening to my instincts and will be paying for the mistake for 30 months in total. I signed up for service in October under false pretenses. I was lied to at sign up how much my bill would actually be, I had services added onto my account that was never asked for (finally after 5 months getting them to remove them, with no sort of reimbursement). With out having to write a whole essay about why this company is to bad and screwed me over I will say that the store manager Austin of this location and the district manager Hannah Moss of this area are by far the worst representatives I've ever had to deal with. Neither are accountable, honest, kind, or care about you as a customer. I would never ever recommend someone contracting themselves to this company. Beware! Read the reviews!!!! Terrible customer service! A friend of mine had bought a new phone at Best Buy and wanted to upgrade his line. He stopped in at this store as it's owner by AT&T. The customer service was so bad that I was even getting upset. The lady manager said he should take his new phone back to Best Buy and then come back and buy from them or they wouldn't help him. What? Your a AT&T Company store. She kept saying Best Buy didn't train their sales staff. You should only buy from them. She is so wrong as I have found that Best Buy is at least friendly. Unlike this AT&T Company Store. If I was Best Buy I would think twice before selling AT&T products when AT&T is going to talk down about them and stab them in the back. You would think with all the Sells Best Buy does for AT&T they would appreciate them selling their products. I will never go to this store again! Stay away from At&t! 5 months later and all that work to switch from Verizon was a waste of time. All promises that were made weren't kept. If you call their customer service line they just confirm your monthly fee,and say they are sorry you were told something different. I am paying MORE than I was for Verizon! And the coverage isn't as good! I'll be using my gps and it loses signal then I have to pull over and wait for signal to return. If I text a friend who has Verizon my message is all scrambled and sometimes I don't even get my messages! So I'm going to wait till Verizon offers some kind of a deal and I'm switching back. I have gone to this location a few times and had always had a good experience til this weekend. I went in to upgrade my phone to the iPhone 6 and the guy that helped me not only acted like he didn't want to help me but then when I looked at my account he added extras like insurance plus 2 other extras that I never okayed. Unfortunately my experience at this store was bad. I've been with AT&T for years and my wife used to work for AT&T in California, so I know how an experience should go in a store. I buy my accessories in the store a) I have a fan discount and b) for the warranty they provide for a year. I had an Otter Box that I purchased at the same time as my iPhone 5, my belt clip broke unfortunately and I was a little out of my warranty. I went into this store as it's closest to my house and Max helped me. I explained the situation, he ran my account found the case purchase, told me it wouldn't be an issue and went into the cabinets to get a clip. After a little bit he said he would just replace the whole case and clip, so he tried the transaction and said he needed to get an override from the manager. He went to the back for a bit and came back out explaining that he wouldn't be able to help me because the manager 'didn't know me'. I asked if I could just have one of the many spare clips in the cabinet and he explained they wouldn't fit my phone even know they looked exactly like the one I had and were with the other otter boxes for iPhone 5. He then went onto tell me he would sell me a case at a steep 50% discount, I had 2 problems with this, 1) I have a fan discount anyhow so I get the discount without him 'helping me out' and 2) the case was on sale 50% off anyhow (sticker on the outside of the box saying so). I told him no thank you and walked. I went home and my wife and I spoke about what happened, I was still rearing a bit about it. She decided to give the store a call since she knows better about what they can and can't do in the store, she called and Max answered, she asked for a manager and he claimed to be one (even know he had to go seek approval while I was in the store) he explained to her that he couldn't help but would be glad to sell one for 50% off! Sounds to me like his accessory numbers were low and he needed a sale. No thank you, had no problem calling a store in Portland and getting my case and clip replaced without a single hassle, won't ever return to this store. read more

I would post less than one star if I could. This store manager has an arrogant attitude and a TEMPER!! ATT ignored a request in March last year for cancelling a phone we don't use. We went in an authorized store at that time and were connected there to ATT customer service. Notes were made on our account that we have never used that phone and want it removed at termination of our contract in June. We were told it would be done. Fast forward to yesterday when we went into this store after discovering that not only had that phone not been removed from the plan (the rep was able to pull up the remarks from March) but in fact the price for that line jumped +40.00 per month. Hundreds of dollars in extra charges. *** Note if you pay by auto pay like we do, check your bill monthly... we did not. The store manager said he could do nothing and connected us to corporate (Robert) who said a stop order had never been entered and there was nothing he could do to help us except to cancel the phone now even though he could read the notes from March!!! I was thrown out of the store for making a scene after the manager made a harsh comment to my partner. My voice was raised and the manager threatened to call 911. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS? Don't let them put their hand in your pocket.I hope I cost them at least one customer. read more

I have been in this store purchasing items for 12 years. I went in 30 days ago and purchased two new I-7 phones including insurance. One of them went bad this week so I went in with my daughter to get a replacement as the charger cord would not plug in and it would lose signal when on a call. So as we explained to them that it was just purchased we expected them to replace it. They said no you have to go to an apple store in Portland. I said I have insurance and expected them to take care of it at the store. The sales person became rude and asked me to leave, when I refused to leave without a phone they threatened to call the police so I said that's a good idea, let's call them. I said that I wouldn't leave until I received a phone. Then I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was off today. That was not true as he was in the back. So after being treated badly I asked what I could get to fix this problem temporarily. The salesman said that I could purchase a different charger for $64.95 so I agreed to do that. The salesman went over to the corner of the store to get the charger and on his way back he just through the charger at us from about 10 feet away. At that point another salesperson grabbed him and pushed him into the back office. Another salesman sold me the charger and I left. I have called every manager above them but have not received satisfaction. At the very least the employee should be fired. I can't believe that they can sell apple products without taking care of the problems that come up, especially a faulty product. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I guess the reviews posted tells the whole story. By the way I am 73 years old and I felt threatened by this bully and I was concerned that I might have to defend myself. I have been in the retail sale business for 50 plus years and still in it. I would never have treated anyone in this manner. I hope management reads this posting and does something about it. All they have to do is watch the in store video and they will see what kind of bad service is being given at this store including throwing products at customers. read more

I went in looking for a wireless internet solution and a new phone. I received excellent service from Terry. He really broke down the differences between the devices and services in a way that I could understand. He wasn't pushy or salesy. He made sure that I understood each and every fee and charge that would be associated with any purchase I made. He was very knowledgable about the software and the hardware. I noticed that the manager on site was also willing to jump in and help Terry out in a supportive way whenever Terry asked. Not only did Terry help me find what I was looking for, he helped me clean up my old phone (literally), unpacked and assembled everything (phone case, screen guards, etc). He filled out my rebate form for my phone so all I have to do is mail it. I even brought my bluetooth device in from my car (bought it somewhere else) and he showed me how it works with multiple devices! He was very patient, polite and personable. I think he spent an hour with me and I never felt rushed. I highly recommend this store. They really *get* customer service. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. The girl I spoke with was condescending and rude. I went in explaining my awful experience when I originally signed up for this next plan (which was also at the same location over a year and a half ago). I am used to trading my phone in for the $200 value and getting a new phone with and eligble upgrade and hats what I love doing it is why I always stayed with AT&T! I got the next plan most recently and wasn't in clear communication how it works but I signed the contract so it's my fault. This time I went in, I explained I just want to do what I have always done, trade my phone in for the $200 value and get the upgrade and sign another 2 year contract. She said it would be $15 more a month because of my plan, I said that's fine. She said "you would actually rather pay_____ than do this?" And looked at me like I was crazy. She had a piece of paper with a ton of numbers all over it, I told her over and over again that I DONT understand what all her numbers mean and it doesn't make sense. She was so unfriendly and so unhelpful. I left and am going to another AT&T because her customer service was awful. I don't know how a manager didn't step in or train her how to keep customers. I have been a loyal At&t customer for over 11 years. Most of my experience's dealing with At&t have been face to face in the Dana Point, CA location, and it was always great. We moved to WA in 2009 & the standards they hold in this Vancouver branch are not the same. I always received great customer care at the Dana Point location because they always spent the extra time getting to know us and our needs. I am very disappointed in the Mill Plane Vancouver, WA location. I was expecting to be treated the same way I was when I bought my brand new Samsung Galaxy S4, especially since I purchased it just 4 days earlier . I called customer service as soon as I noticed a problem with my phone and I was assured by an over the phone rep that I was experiencing a defect + I was in the 14 day buyer's remorse policy. Instead of even listening to what my problem was, I was accused of physically damaging my phone to the point of pretty much being called a liar. Many, many other people are experiencing this same problem. Lucky for me and At&t I received better service over the phone then face to face with the very rude manager at this location. I will never give this location our hard earned money again. Ever. I'd rather do my business with the computer or a rep over the phone then set foot in this store again. SAD. read more

Really AT&T after being grossly misquoted on what my monthly bill was going to be. We cancelled our services within the 14days buyers remorse. I even paid 80.00 restocking fee a waste of money for returning our phones now we get a bill for $1950 because your incompetent employees don't know what the hell he is doing! I called the store and pissed off and the spoke with manager "Jake" who then hung up on me then refused to talk to us because he got his feeling hurt and he felt disrespected. That's how you deal with an upset client hanging up on them. He is lucky I didn't walk into that store and raise hell and let his other customers know how incompetent and liars they all are. Maybe he so defensive and got his feeling hurt because he knows it's the truth. The store off Mill Plain is the worst no one from the sales associates to the managers can take responsibility or accountability for anything. It's always someone else's fault. Now I'm suppose to take their word for it that they are going to fix this. Just learn from my mistake don't trust sales associates at the store. We signed up with Verizon through Best Buy they provided us with all our options from carriers to plans and even gave us a copy of our first invoice. read more
