Had a great experience earlier today with a battery replacement. Cameron walked me through the intricacies of replacing my AMG battery, answered my questions and explained the options. The experience was very enjoyable, people can still care and be professional. My battery is in an awkward spot to get to and they swapped it out no problem. Cam was careful to keep a power supply connected for the instrument panel while the battery was being removed, this protects again various electrical systems becoming scrambled due to a complete loss of power. My car had the battery light come on. I figured I'd left a light on or something and drove it around for 30 minutes. It didn't go away. I went to Autozone where they looked at my battery and it was COVERED in acid. Like scary large amounts to the point the tech looked scared. He sold me one of their batteries for about $200 and told me they don't install batteries, so I had to go somewhere else. I went to Valvoline, where I usually get my oil changed. They also sell batteries. The tech here ran a test on the battery and told me that while the battery was entering end of life, it was actually the lead connection to the battery that was the problem and they couldn't help me. That's how I ended up at Battery X-Change. I called in advance to verify they could do the work, which they confirmed. I showed up the next day and they took my car immediately and said it would only be 30 minutes, which I was very pleasantly surprised about. They two gentleman removed the battery and lead, sold me a new one, built a new lead, and it all works perfectly. I had my dog with me, so we walked around for a bit. The waiting area does have a couple chairs and they have a popcorn machine (like the fancy old ones from the movie theater). The service here was excellent and the final price for all the work, the new battery with a 7 year warranty, and the new lead was less than the price of the battery I bought at the beginning of this issue. 11-1-19 Went in today with my wife's car. It was having a hard time starting. Michael came out as soon as I pulled up. I explained what was going on and he tested it out and found out it was the battery. I had him replace the battery. Very professional and quick with the repair. Thank you 11-2-19 My daughter has been having a problem with her car not starting and having to get a jump start. It was recommended to her to get a battery. She called and asked if I would help her. So, they said it need one quart EXTRA (6 qts.) which is total BS...then had the gall to add on $8. for it. Total Ripoff artists, that's not how you treat customers!. with the cold weather coming, my wife's car showed signs of a failing battery. I called ahead and spoke to Cole to see if they had a battery for her car which they did. The prices where very reasonable and they had a 84 month warranty where the first 24 month are immediate replacement and the remaining 60 months are pro rated. I pulled up 15 minutes later, he recognized the car from the phone call, I popped the hood and he grabbed the appropriate battery. Ten minutes later I was driving away. Good price, but terrible customer service. Bought a specific high end battery that they claimed "wasn't for my car" and stripped me of the warranty, then continued to criticize my car claiming that I have a parasitic draw somewhere since it arched while connecting the ground. I tried to explain to her that it's because of my capacitor charging back up since there is no resistor, but she was very adamant about it. Went home to double check, and sure enough I had no parasitic draw. Wish they hired more knowledgeable people. read more
