My mom is a very long time customer of AT&T and was ready for a phone upgrade. AT&T is open 7 days a week with late hours which is super convenient. The entryway is wide with electronic doors which is wonderful for customers in wheelchairs. Everyone we came in contact with was pleasant, knowledgeable and upbeat. My mom was shopping for the latest and greatest in iPhones needing plenty of storage space for her gazillion photos and videos and her rep answered all of her questions. He took time to explain and show her how to use her new phone features. There was no pressure for additional accessories she would not use. We had a top notch customer experience here. Started my attempt to upgrade my 10-year-old phone at the AT&T store closest to home, which was the last time I will enter that store. (See associated review for the store at W Battlefield and Lone Pine). I have short notice business trip in 2 weeks and need a phone that's up to date. Called the store around noon and confirmed they had they phone I wanted and, while they can't technically hold a phone, Dalton would set it aside since I said I would be there 15 minutes after I got off work at 6pm. Got to the store at 6:15pm and was met at the door with a smile by J.P. Let him know why I was there and it was smooth sailing from there. Dalton turns out to be a manager at the store, and he came over as J.P. was assisting me. The service was stellar. They double teamed the process, got the data from old phone transferred with zero issues and had me out the door from start to finish in an hour. So I went in to upgrade my phone. I was trying to trade in my phone and pay the difference, the guy who helped me said they don't do that, but it'd only be $8 more a month . I said why not let's go for it. He explained the way they'd bill it, which sounded as convoluted as a Christopher Nolan plot. I asked flat out what it'd cost and it seemed reasonable. I left for an hour, he transferred over everything, had my new phone in my hand and as I was getting checked out, he said oh wait. The special ended, let me talk to my manager. The manager came over and said they couldn't give me what they quoted me but I could get $1000 off a different phone that was better than the phone I was getting and wouldn't cost me anything. I said sure. He then started to do the process and was like oh wait, actually I can't get you anything off that phone. Your only option is to get $350 off. (They originally told me $700) So now the monthly is going to go up $18 more instead of $8. The manger was very dismissive about it and really rubbed me the wrong way, so I told him I didn't want the phone. He said he'd wave the restocking fee for me, like he was doing me a favor. He left and I asked the guy who was helping me, who seemed like a cool dude and he said that pretty soon my phone wouldn't qualify for a trade in soon. Being that I had waited an hour already I caved and just got it. I got home and the phone is buggy. Ugh what a nightmare. I have to say every time I've gone into an AT&T store it feels like I'm at a car dealership and it really grosses me out. I didn't have a good experience years ago at this store. I decided to give it another try. I'm very glad that I did. I had a sales rep who's name is Tabrys Chaney. He was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly, took his time with me and was very knowledgeable with the products he was selling. I would recommend anyone needing to upgrade their phone to ask for Tabrys. Wanted to update my phone. Customer Service rep was Cory. We asked him two questions - one what color phones they had in stock and two if they had one we could look at. He responded to both questions irritability and seemed glad when we left. Update: went to a different AT&T store (West Sunshine) and found a very helpful Customer Service rep. Do NOT let the store reps talk you into signing up for ATT TV, the new Streaming TV service available in limited areas, Springfield, Mo being one of the few unfortunately. Went to South Campbell store to pick up new iPhone and was told we would save a lot of money by signing up . We signed up to save money, then found out channels we were promised were not available. To their credit they did give us a Roku stick and we could get some channels and apps not on ATT TV. But since signing up (two year contract) we have had nothing but issues. Everyday we must reset our router, tv only works part of the time. We will be getting out of this contract if they cannot make it right. read more

My mother decided to leave Verizon and try AT&T. To start with most stores are not corporate stores and can do absolutely nothing above sales only. That being said...we came to the corporate store in south Springfield. The staff stand in the outer vestibule and basically detain you by asking questions which blocks the entrance. They put my mother on the wrong plan to start with. They failed to give her the promised credit for the phone she traded it. They are having difficulty combining her cell phone and internet on the same bill. She is receiving her bill only 3-5 days before the due date so it does not give enough time to mail a check without being charged a late fee. One of the documents they send out is an estimate billed amount and the sales rep admitted that the total is never correct which is very misleading. Overall the business model is not customer friendly. The staff act friendly but they are not prepared to "assist" a customer other than to sell them something or escort them to the payment kiosk. The last visit we worked with Jake. He did present himself to be more knowledgeable than anyone else we have interacted with. read more

Worked with an incredible young man named Brady.....My son and his family were there to help me with this process and so we had children with us. Brady gave me exactly what my son recommended without trying to talk us into anything else, set us up within just a few minutes, was warm and friendly, interested in my grandchildren. AT&T as a business in general sucks. I can't ever get ahold of costumer service because they put a stupid IVR in the way that doesn't understand squat. Not to mention you have to have your username and password to even get ahold of costumer service. Talk about a horrible business practices. They literally do everything they can to prevent you from talking to costumer service because I have to have my parents account number. read more

This has to be the slowest, most uncomfortable place to have to do business. Nobody in this store has ANY since of urgency in helping the customers. They don't offer much seating for the 8-10 customers waiting to speak with the help. It seems that the help rotated in and out of the back room, and seems like not all people agents are responsible for helping customers. This goes to the horrible customer service that AT&T has. I'm not sure if words can adequately describe how much much I despise AT&T, but I'll give it a shot. We used this company for high speed internet service for about 9 months. They charge so many BS fees it is ridiculous. Whatever you do, DO NOT give them your bank info. I know, I know, they promised you a $100 gift card for signing up for automatic bill pay. It's not worth it. We changed banks and provided them with the new info. They charged our old account anyway, which didn't have any funds available. And they kept attempting until our old bank contacted us because we had $160 in fees piling up. Would ATT refund the amount of fees? No way, in fact, the guy in customer service was such a jerk I filed a complaint with the BBB. Then of course on top of the NSF fees charged by our bank, ATT charged us too. They have the absolute worst customer service ever, numerous hidden fees, and spotty at best DSL. We paid $55 per month for 15 mb internet....now for $65 we are getting *50* mb internet at Mediacom. Run, run, away from ATT. They will bleed you dry and leave you hanging. read more

I loathe AT&T. This company has put all their money and staff into sales. But when it comes to customer service, there is zero help to be had. The one good thing about this place is the manager. I am so thankful and grateful for the service provided by Devin and Kenneth at this ATT Corporate store. My mom passed away in October and I had no success cancelling her cell phone account after two phone calls to ATT. I walked into the store and was greeted by Devin. When I told him what I needed he immediately said "I can help you with that" and took the bill and death certificate to his manager, Kenneth. Kenneth did some computer work and had the account cancelled in just a few minutes while I visited with Devin. They were both so friendly and helpful and I would recommend this store for any ATT service that you need. read more

i can't believe there hasn't been more reviews on how horrible this company is. You walk in the strode and a nice salesman greets you and walks you in. After that, sometimes you wait 30 minutes for service sometimes they are pretty quick. But man, they ALWAYS try to upsell you! went in just to discuss my cell bill (because it was more than my freaking mortgage the las three months) and ironically ended up buying uverse; hey he was a good salesman. they guy gives me his card and says if i need anything at all, give him a call. i walk out and 10 minutes later he calls me three times. three times he calls me attempting to get payment info, cause he forgot to get it when i was in the store. i get home and realize i need one more receiver than i ordered( cause i was getting another tv on black friday. i call the guy that gave me his card SIX freakin times!! SIX times! i answer all three of his phone calls to gather payment info, and he can't return my call?? wtf well i end up waiting at home for the installer to come. waited at home 9-12, and low and behold he doesn't have enough receivers. so i end up waiting at home from 9-12 the following week because some dbag wouldn't return my phone call. in all fairness, not really a fan of meidacom either read more

Customer service was fine. As a business we use them for internet. The call center was having issues. So we went here to pay, and have a late fee removed. The late fee was there because it took them thirteen days to post payment. I told the guy there that if they couldn't fix it we'd have to go elsewhere because we would accrue a late fee every month. My wife and I decided to switch service providers from Sprint, who we had be customers of for over 13 years. We came in and met with Kristen at the South Campbell Store in Springfield MO, she failed to mention important details when we transferred lines that will now cost us over $500 to settle. When we called to try and resolve the problem my wife was told Kristin was not in today and they would have her call us within the next day, we never received a call. We called again a few days later and was told by a representative that "They have been really busy so that's why noone has called you back". We decided to go into the store in person where we talked with Kristen, she was unhelpful to say the least and we were told to wait until the manager Adam was free. After 8 minutes of waiting Adam arrived and all he could say was "Well I guess we will just pass this up the chain". This has been a pretty sad experience from the beginning, we are still trying to resolve this and hope the "people up the chain" might be a little more qualified to help. read more

I have had ATT for over 10 years but after the last 5 years I have noticed how much I HATE THE PEOPLE AT THIS STORE. One time I went in and told them I need to pay my bill and they tell go ahead and go in. I waited 30 minutes inside and after noticing others getting service before me I ask them why and then they tell me the only way to pay is by the machines in the lobby. I could have been out of there in 5 minutes. There is always a wait inside any time I go ad have probably left more times because of no service than the amount of times I needed to go. The final straw was today, I go inside and tell the girl at the front I need to upgrade my daughters phone. I wait again for 20 minutes to then finally get to talk to the same bitch that checked me in at the door. I give her the phone number on our account and then she asks me who stacy is. I reply that its my wife and she is at work.I tell her that we changed it into her name last year in order to get a corporate discount from her work. she then tells me that she cannot talk to me since I am not the bill payer. I said I have 2 phone right here with me from that account and have been the account holder the last 9 years but she wants a photo ID. she said to come back with my wife and she would then talk to me.
