Public service warning: DO NOT USE THE AT & T STORE IN SOUTHAMPTON! AT&T They are HORRIBLE. There was one girl working there and obviously did not want to be helpful. I had gotten my Dad a new phone through AT & T (online) and they told me I could trade in his old phone to get $350 off. I said great! They told me I could just drop off at a local AT & T store. I went to Southampton, walked in AT&T Grouchy girl: how can I help you? Me: Hi! I just dropping off my trade in phone AT & T GG: Did you get the new phone here or by phone? Me: Online AT & T GG: Well, if you drop it off here, we can't guarantee we can give you what they said they were going to give you Me: OK? They told me to drop it off here and you would send it to them. AT & T GG: Well, we can only give you like $350 Me: oh that's ok, that's what they told me too AT & T GG: But you will probably only get $125 Me: ummm what? You just said $350 AT& T GG: You didn't get the new phone through us Me: I got it through AT & T. You are an AT & T store AT&T GG: we are all owned separately Me: Whatever, just take the phone and I'll deal with AT & T online if there's a discrepancy AT & T GG: No, then we can get in trouble Me: What? Just take the phone AT & T GG: No, now I'm not taking it Me: are you kidding me? AT & T GG: the manager will be here tomorrow if you want to come back but he will tell you the same thing Me: OK. AT & T sucks and I walk out Called AT & T and they were in disbelief that interaction happened. They are sending me a label to send the phone back by UPS. Gave me National retail store number to file a formal complaint which I happily did. Again, the rep was mortified they treated a customer this way (let alone a customer of 20 years). Rafael (store manager) gave inaccurate information over the phone that led me to come into the store unnecessarily. The product wasn't available on the floor, required a wait to access, and I was then told it couldn't be purchased outright--only through a payment plan. This was never communicated in advance. I came in ready to purchase immediately, so this was a complete waste of time. Very poor communication and a frustrating experience. read more

I have been an AT&T customer for over 25 years. Went into get a new phone for my son and had been there two days prior. I was given prices that were acceptable, but the store was closing and said I would come back on Black Friday. When I said I wanted to get the phone and the deal that I was offered the deal was no longer available on Black Friday. The Indian female in the Southampton store was absurdly rude, and obviously did not want any business other than high commission sale. "We do not sell phones here if you want a phone go to Apple". When I asked how much the phone is all she would reply was with how much it was per month times the 36 month plan". "$929 minus a $350 trade and equals $579 divided by 36 months equals $16.08 a month. "No that's not how it works, it's $28 a month. She is a liar and the thief and should be fired. Grotesquely bad and rude service. When I tried to explain that my brand new iPhone had a defective touch screen I was literally told "you are too stupid to use an iPhone." This is my 7th iPhone and I've never had this problem, but it is not because I don't know how to use my phone. The clerk told me that HER phone was fine so she had no idea what was wrong with mine, as if the two were in any way related. Shocking and appalling treatment by two ignorant, condescending, and dismissive young women who make DMV clerks seem caring and helpful. Go to another location! read more

Like a Lost Episode of Carnivàle--But Without the Wonder or Reason I ordered a phone for pickup at this store. Easy, right? Apparently not. When I showed up, the manager, Rafael, looked at me like I was asking for nuclear codes. They couldn't find the phone. Plot twist: it might have been stolen. Instead of helping, they told me they'd have to "check the video footage," and that it would take a week to resolve. Meanwhile, I couldn't cancel the order or get a new phone--because apparently, nothing could move forward until they solved the mystery. I was about to leave the country, and thanks to this mess, I was totally out of luck. I called back a week later--only to be told that reviewing video footage wasn't even a thing, and that I should "call AT&T again." Seriously? Rafael kept calling "management," shrugging like a character in Carnivàle lost in the dust. It reminded me of Samson's line: "And so it came to pass that the spirit of man was forever traded for reason..." Except here, they skipped the wonder and the reason--and just handed me a week-long void. I left without a phone, without help, and with a deep appreciation for how spectacularly bad customer service can be. If you enjoy finger-pointing, chaos, and feeling like you're the problem, this is your place. Otherwise, run. read more

Its a pretty awful store..twice in the last few years went to get a new phone...they never have androids in stock...once when I left the store and got to my car the phone was non operational....had to go back the last time the guy who helped me made me take my old phone and my new phone home with me for a day to make sure everything had transferred over...what a pain driving back just to turn the old phone in the next day...it was crazy... read more

I had a great experience, buying a new ATT phone from the South Hampton store. Good people made it easy.

On Monday July 10th, 2023 I went to the AT&T Southampton, NY store (Store FU6K) to exchange a phone case for my newly purchased phone from few days before as its was the wrong size. The sales woman, Jahlia N, was the same person that sold me the phone. She was immediately aggressive and defensive as to why I was back to the store with a request to exchange the case and she even admitted that she knew that it was the wrong size when she sold it to me but that she "did not care". She was verbally hostile, her demeanor was very angry at my request and threatened me with calling the police as she accused me of harassing her and also stating that I came to the AT&T store to "pick up a fight". This sales person was so unhinged that I feared that I was going to be assaulted by her. She stated that she did not care about my reasons for needing to exchange the item as it was "not her store" and that she could walk out out of that job at anytime as it was "no skin off my back". I have been an AT&T customer for over 20 years. Nobody has ever treated me in such a contemptuous way. For the past four days I have tried to contact the AT&T customer service phone line to place a complaint against this employee to no avail. Trying to call the store at the listed number to speak to her manager has been impossible as well. At this time I will have to proceed with a formal complaint to the corporate headquarters. read more

I went into this store owned by Prime Communications (Not an AT&T corporate store) to pay my wireless bill on March 16, 2021 (Confimed by AT&T Customer Care). The employee accessed my account, told me my wireless bill was $205.22. I paid her and left. A month later, I was shocked to learn that the payment had never been applied. My new bill was over $400 including a late payment fee! I spoke to the rep named Max. I explained what had happened and he said "He would speak with his manager and work to get it resolved." Max told me to expect a call from his manager later that day. No call. The following Monday, I speak again to Max and he gets his manager (Orlando Chamorro) on the phone who told me that "they are looking into the situation, he has "forwarded the case to loss prevention" and although he couldn't give me a timeline, they were working on it. "They have a lot of stores so, checking the cameras can take some time" A month has gone by and at this point, I'm now positive that the employee pocketed the money and Orlando gave me the runaround. So, I go into the store again May 17, 2021 and I ask Max to get Orlando on the phone. At this point, Orlando won't even speak to me. How many loss prevention cases can Prime Communications have that it takes more than a month to look at the cameras and see that I was in the store handing cash to the girl behind the counter? I was told "If I need to, i could file a lawsuit" It was pretty amazing to me that the rep would make that comment without me ever mentioning a lawsuit. They must get a lot of customers threatening litigation if that where his mind went automatically. I wish I could give them fewer stars. read more

THE WORST! I took a new iPad Pro to get a sim, not knowing it had an Apple sim installed. All I had to do was call AT&T and set it up. That's my mistake. When I went in the store, I waited for a while. I got to the counter and started the process. The girl took my apple sim out, threw it away, told me there were "issues" with my company account, cut down my old iPad sim, installed it in my iPad Pro. My iPad rebooted, assimilated my old iPad. I lost all the setup I had done. They know NOTHING. Stay way. I spent the rest of the night fixing this disaster. read more

We have been AT&T customers since the first Motorola cell phone in the 90's- The DPC550. We always stuck with AT&T as they offer great service and good rates. That being said, the AT&T Store in Southampton, NY is THE WORST branch of the company that ever existed. They are now under new ownership and the new owner is a complete MORON! It's as if he was never in the service business in his life. He knows virtually nothing about tech, phones or even apps! He's so incompetent it's actually embarrassing when he deals with customers. But what got me to write this regrettable review is the mistakes he made on our phone accounts. Three separate times for the same issue!!! It's as if he was doing it on purpose. Go to ANY other AT&T store and avoid this one at all costs. read more

I didn't even get a greeting at the door. The woman in the store was being rude to the customer before me, and when i sat down she still said nothing. She then asked me what i wanted which was an upgrade, and she said i can get you the phone but i can't set it up for you. After expressing that her customer service was less than sub par i left and didn't even bother doing business with her. Entered this At&t store with little hope of recovering data from my older phone to transfer to a newer phone but was pleasantly surprised with the expert help from Jerri (sp?), who not only spent tons of time with me (even though I was only purchasing a case), but was able to come up with creative solutions while multitasking and attending to everyone's needs with a really courteous and professional attitude at a busy time. Definitely recommend Jerri's help. read more
