5 Stars Alyssa at AT&T Poway turned what could have been a frustrating trade-in into a smoother and less stressful, experience. Despite some minor complications with a name change and ID issues, she found solutions . I left with less anxiety than I came in with.... She knows the process so well you'd think she's in management. My guess is she is. Honestly, AT&T is probably doing better because of people like her. If you ever come across her in this store you'd be lucky. She's knowledgeable, helpful, doesn't overcomplicate things, and focuses on finding solutions not problems. She was also incredibly supportive with her coworker, Francisco, who wasn't as familiar with trade-in appraisals or legal name changes not reflected on your at&t account, etc., She let him handle parts of the process trade in processing while stepping in where needed, striking the perfect balance between guiding and leading. Went in to upgrade my daughters phone. While the customer service was fine (hence the 2 stars), they automatically signed the phone up for a $17 insurance and the $10 next plan without asking or telling me. This shouldn't be allowed. It was not on any of my receipts. Terrible business practice. read more

I went into the store to turn in my trade in phone. Truth helped me and said she would email me a receipt for my trade in. Trusting her, I left the store. I checked my email after 30 minutes and I never received the receipt I was promised by Truth. I called the store and Christine said she would have Truth call me back in 10 minutes. As you can imagine, I did not receive a call from Truth. I called back and was told by Christine that they were too busy and Truth and Christine could not finish helping me. I expressed my frustration to Christine and asked her if she could assist me since I had been to the store waited 30 minutes to be helped, turned in my trade in but never received the receipt. She refused to help me because she was too busy, even though I hadn't been fully helped. Not sure if I'm going to get my receipt and I hope someone in corporate reads my review so my issue can get resolved. read more

This is a hidden gem of a store. Instead of driving to Carmel Mtn or MiraMesa give this local place a try. Bryant is the manager and he helped my wife with her new iPhone. Be aware!!!!! I came into this store to add two phone lines, I requested to add them to my existing internet account, they told me ok, and we agreed about the price. I trusted them, and a day after, I realized they had created a new account and changed the amount we decided about, and raised it They added for my insurance and a few more changes that I didn't agree about and didn't know about them until I called at&t customer service. I am a long time AT&T customer. In theory this is an AT&T store and not an authorized resaler. I called. No answer. I drove to the store. Tried to purchase an I-phone 11. Was told that was not possible. They wanted to sign me up for a payment plan and then "allow" me to complete the purchase in 14 days by paying off the balance. Would not accept a complete purchase today. Not acceptable! Went to the Apple store and purchased a phone outright. Big benefit - the skill level of the Apple staff in transferring data and setting up the phone. This is the first time I have not purchased my phone from AT&T. Still an AT&T customer, just not at this store. read more

This is for ATT in general. Service was alright, but they made it really difficult to cancel service with them and during the process it cost me over $400. My business closed and for the past 3 months I've been calling ATT business to cancel service. The first couple months, no one answered the business department to help me with my issue. And then this last few weeks I finally get through to the business department and got a recording saying that the office is closed. Today finally I get through to someone and got my service cancelled. But what is really frustrating, I made a note of every time I called, and the agent I spoke with said his notes said I only called twice. (Once a week I spoke with them either by chat or phone). Example, Friday April 8th, I was on the phone with an agent for over an hour! No note was made for that encounter. And nothing mentioned about me trying to cancel an account that hasn't been used in months. This experience has turned me off from ATT. Which I used for both business and personal. read more

Just transferred to AT&T, had a great experience getting all my lines transferred over, they were fast and really knew what they needed to do took care of all the background stuff that goes on and made it a very enjoyable experience ! Went in today and was treated like crap. I think his name was Tim. He has major attitude and was rude with every question we had. This guy is not cut out for customer service. We left after 5 minutes and went to another store. Hopefully a manager sees this and can find out who the employee is. This happened on Aug 12, 2021 at 11:30am. I came here to this store to do trading and setting up my new phone. Unfortunately, person who works there was on break until 3pm, he posted a note on the entrance door and locked. I waited patiently until 3pm hoping the person on duty will be back on time. 3:30pm when i left the area seeing no one came back! I think Poway store location needs to check their employees for having looong breaks. I have errands to do , i will not come back here anymore. Idk where they heck they went. read more
