This AT&T store is located inside the Ross Park Mall. I have been a customer of AT&T for many years. I needed a new phone, so I stopped by this store briefly to ask if they sell the iPhone 14 Pro. I felt happy that I did not have to wait in line to be served. (In contrast, the line of customers at the AT&T store on McKnight Road was significantly longer.) An employee immediately smiled and said a friendly hello. I asked the employee if I could pay in full for the iPhone 14 Pro. He kindly explained that they sell phones only to people who want a payment plan, and he advised me to go to the nearby Apple store to purchase the phone. He said that I could return to the AT&T store if I needed the new phone to be activated. This is one of many AT and T stores located throughout the city. When I review one store, the same things apply to all of them. First, having been an AT and T customer for many years I know the drill and am familiar with their policies. I came with my son for the purpose of getting his phone upgraded. The receptionist took my name and I didn't have that long of a wait to be taken care of. All around the store are demos of all the phones and tablets they carry for you to get familiar with. The sales rep began talking with me about all these different plans that could either slightly raise or lower my bill including bundling with their TV service or eliminating hot spots. I was straight to the point that I came to purchase a phone and after showing me a number of payment options I told him I was buying it outright and not interested in changing my plan. Years ago I was burned by AT and T because if you purchase a new phone and decide to return it within the 14 day return window they charge you a restocking fee. That fee applies even if you haven't taken the cellophane off the box and never tampered with it. Currently that fee is $55.00. Please be aware of this should you decide to purchase. Accessories such as cases and screen protectors do not have that fee but you must credit them within the 14 day grace period. Having my son with me to insure the Samsung model he wanted, we went ahead and of course got a very minimal trade in credit for his existing Samsung S6. Our salesman, Mike helped him with the data transfer and erasing the old device so that his new phone would be up and running perfectly. When it came to activation Mike needed to check on fees. I told him I had spoken to AT and T twice and was told that buying a phone outright waived those fees. When he ran it through the scanner he saw I was right. The Samsung S 10+ I purchased comes with its own built in screen protector. It is supposed to be "self healing." I had already purchased a screen protector 3 days ago from another AT and T store but my son insisted that I credit it. I waived the insurance on it because I know they have a standard high deductible for replacement which is also limited in quantity and if you crack your screen, then they will send you off to some screen repair shop nearby to get it fixed for a reduced price. My son was very happy with my purchase for the holidays and was grateful I took the time to do all the research. You can also order online through their website or chat with an agent. This store is fairly big and sits near the main entrance of Ross Park mall across from the Lego store. My advice is if you are considering switching to AT and T or if you are making a purchase, then make sure you read everything before you do anything. The restocking fee is something people overlook but it is written on their website and if you remember to ask before purchasing it then you will be better able to make an informed decision. read more

I called this store ahead of time and spoke with Chelsea, I asked her how long the process would be to set up my mom's iPhone and whether an appointment at 8 PM would be okay (because I didn't want to bother them or keep them there too late) she said that they were open till 9 PM and that they could transfer the data from my mom's old phone to her new phone there and that 8 PM wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived both Chelsea and James were helping other customers, but James finished up within 10 minutes and came over to my mother and I promptly thereafter. He told me that they wouldn't be able to transfer the data from my mom's old android to her new iPhone because both of their machines were down but that he had sent in a work order for them to get fixed. He gave us a new SIM Card, the whole process took less than 20 minutes, and he waived the $5.00 fee for the inconvenience. Overall I had a great experience, and James is an awesome guy! The Att store is a nice store but buyer beware when you buy an Apple Watch and you can only do one exchange or return on the device I did one exchange and I wented to exchange it to get the smaller Watch I did call that store and who ever I talked to told me yes I can bring it in I also told this person it was already exchange once and still told me to bring they like to tell you not the right information they need to train their employees better now am stuck with this Watch made a trip for nothing on the positive tash one of the workers very nice person to work with they wouldn't allow me to get the smaller one because of someone told me wrong information read more

I came in here to upgrade my phone, I finally hit that two year mark and decided that after a broken screen it was time to switch it up. I walked into the mall with one purpose, to go to the ATT store. I walked in and was promptly greeted. They didn't even have time to ask if I needed some assistance, I knew what I wanted and went for it. Haggling ensues. They said that I had missed a payment once and that it restarted my contract date. What? Of course after that I said something that somehow magically made that go away. Something along the lines that I could take my business elsewhere or I can go buy this phone from someone else. The guy helping me walks away to "talk to his manager." Right, like I haven't heard that one before, or for that matter said it when I worked in retail. After that little snag, I was out the door with my new, crack-free phone. Sat in the store waiting for an hour..AN HOUR, after signing in, while two workers pretended to help other customers. (Never mind the horrible experience I had with enjoy for the 3 days prior). The two customers (did walk in before me, but the worker who addressed them did not see who got there first) were assisted without even checking who was next. Obviously they were next so there's nothing I could say but how would you know without investigating./having witnessed who walked in? The guy who finally offered to sign me in wasn't pleasant, didn't ask how he could help or anything, just "you signed in yet?" Overall the experience was piss poor and helped me in deciding to go back to Verizon. before even being helped I had an hour to think if I wanted to stay with them after several horrible experiences and I'm glad I decided not to. A good deal is not always worth it if the customer service lacks. Tyler was an ill informed prick. Told me restocking fees were charged on ALL returns which was a flat out lie. Called customer service to confirm & was advised I was correct. Wanted to charge me because the "seal was broken" on thin plastic when it looked that way upon delivery after some guy in his Ford fusion dropped it off (Enjoy). Do not work with Tyler, he lies and is lazy. This idiot gets an attitude and says he can refuse service and wait on the next customer after we'd patiently waited for an hour while he played around with screen protectors and other BS. Did not want to wait on me or other customers who came in after me, while the fat white guy at least tried to be useful and waited on two customers at the same time. I have contacted corporate customer service to file a formal complaint and will be calling to speak to a supervisor tomorrow. I LITERALLY CANCELLED AND WENT TO VERIZON IMMEDIATELY AFTER AND I'M SO GLAD THAT I DID. ATT SUCKS AND SO DOES INCOMPETENT TYLER AND THIS LOCATION. read more

I bought a phone online bc they didnt have the one i wanted in store. They had to give me a new number based on the way it was set up online. I was told online that i could get my number switched over no problem in store. When i got there, i was told i had to "return" the phone and I was past the 2 week return policy, so I had to call to have it changed. I tried to call and got nowhere. I conceded to the idea of having a new number, and asked them to transfer my contacts etc to the new phone and was told they couldn't do that in store either, and it had to be done with the cloud, which frankly i dont have much facility with. I know they have the capability to do this bc literally every other phone I've ever had theyve done this for. I'm not one to attack peoples' livelihoods publically but it was clear that they wanted me out of the store bc they werent going to make commission on me. period. that was a waste of my time. read more

Best AT&T experience, the most skilled staff I've ever seen. I am a student at CMU and come to ask questions about the current family plan since the other stores I've been were unable to help and don't even seem to know what they are doing. Two weeks ago, I visited the at&t Ross Park Mall location in Pittsburgh, Pa for advice or a fix for my cracked phone screen. Since I didn't have insurance, and they do not fix screens, a customer service representative there instructed me to go to the mall kiosk (scam artist colony) in the center of the mall for repair. (Suggested this "service provider" over the Apple Store which was a few feet away.) Of course, the kiosk screen repair was a waste of time and have me a defective screen so two and half weeks later, I'm back to square one and out $110. Also, because I didn't go through Apple, the warranty on my phone is void so I can't trade in when it is time to upgrade.... interesting. So at&t will make more money off the sale of my next phone. Additionally, for a mere $30 more, I could have just gone directly to Apple for a legitimate fix. My mistake- I should have educated myself more about this and not implicitly trusted the at&t rep. read more

Can't believe there is still a retailer with a 14 day return policy especially for a christmas present. When I asked to see where on the receipt it showed the policy the clerk flipped the receipt over to show me the miniscule print on the back side of the receipt where it apparently stated it. Needless to say I will not be back to shop there. Too many other options. read more

Just recently went in to upgrade my phone and was promptly greeted by the workers. It was a quick, easy, painless experience and I will gladly drive to the AT&T at the Ross Park Mall everytime to work with Rachel and her staff.
