Every time I come to this store there is an issue... I paid over $50 for a screen protector with a warranty yet they can't honor the warranty because they don't stock the replacements....hard sell on the original and now I have to "contact customer service and they can send you one"...hard sell on the original but zero service on the follow up. I have to do the work myself... Last time I was in he put a hard sell on "lowering my bill by adding a phone" which lowered it for 3 months then skyrocketed it since then. Customer service says "that's what you signed up for" Before that "if you get 2 iPhones on your upgrade (4 line plan) you get a deal on the second and Direct TV included at no additional charge". 3 months later I'm getting collection calls from Direct TV and I have a dish on my house and a hole in my wall that I don't need or use. The service at this location is horrific!!! A zero would be too high a rating. I went to the store to turn in my deceased son's phone the young man working there claimed he didn't know how to do it, and I would have to come back another day. He claimed he tried to reach his manager, but the manager didn't answer him and the manager had gone home for the day (it was 4:30). No one was capable of taking the phone but the two are left alone and have to close the store? Someone should have been capable wouldn't you think? I told him I couldn't come back the following day, so I called the corporate office to find out if there was someway that they could walk him through the process. He returned because he walked into the back room and said he was going to call mall security if I did not leave the store. I asked his name and he told me it was none of my business ... very mature. The service rep from their home office heard the whole thing as was appalled... she apologized several times. Both of the employees in that store tonight should be fired. I had to got to 2 other locations and I finally found a manager that could return a phone. Three hours to return a phone... I should have just thrown it in the trash. And by the way AT&T you are not the only game in town ....that's why I have Verizon. read more

I can't say enough good things about this store!! I've been a customer for over 20 years and have spent many hours in this store with the employees buying new phones for my family of 7. Every single time I have had excellent service. James, the manager is always friendly and helpful. I have to give a shout out to Norman, he doesn't work at this location anymore but he was awesome. I'm very technically challenged but I always leave this store iPhone functional. Yesterday I had picked up my new iPhone at a different store a town over only because I ordered online and green was only available at a different location and I had to have it! The store I went to wanted to charge me $25 for putting me on the Wi-Fi to set up the new iPhone. I had purchased over $100 of accessories and he forgot to charge me. When I told him he didn't charge me, he was thankful and I asked for him to waive the $25, he said he couldn't. I left. I went right to the AT&T store in The North Shore mall and connected with Ashley. Ashley listened to me rant & rave about the other store not helping me and was surprised about hearing they charged $25 since this location doesn't do this. She then spent over an hour helping me set up my iPhone and making sure everything was working before I left. I am so thankful for Ashley and the service at this store. I have been an AT&T customer for several years, long story short, I had a major issue with my billing. I went to the kiosk, not thinking they would help me, boy, was I wrong! Leanne Towle, the Assistant Store Manager was simply amazing. Even though she would not make any commission on me, as I was already a customer, she spent over 45 min on the phone with AT&T customer support, and was able to completely fix my issue(s). AT&T Store - Mobile Phones Near Me - Peabody, Massachusetts

I had the displeasure of going to this store with someone I know who had an issue with their mobile phone that they received for a Christmas present. The phone would not hold a charge. She suspected it was the phone, and I suspected that it may be a faulty battery. Either way, since the phone is less than 5 months old, and has a one year warranty on it, we decided to go to AT&T to have the problem taken care of. Well, we got to the store and were greeted immediately, which I liked. But after that, it all went downhill. When the phone was checked by the salesman on staff, he could not understand what was wrong. I suggested that they test the battery, but my words fell upon deaf ears. Anyway, since this guy could not hear, or figure out what was wrong, he suggested that the phone be replaced. Fair enough. I expected him to go into the back and bring out a new phone, much like they do when you purchase a new phone. NOPE! He called their warranty department and gave the phone to my friend, who was literally on the phone with this warranty people for 30 minutes, trying to explain what was wrong, while the salesman went over to another 3 salesmen on the floor to chat with one another RIGHT IN FRONT OF US! When the warranty department said that they would honor the warranty and replace the phone, they then asked my friend for her credit card number, which is what got my attention. WHY does a warranty department need a credit card number if the phone is covered and being replaced free of charge? When I asked, I was told that this was because they needed the old phone back, and that my friend would be responsible for mailing it back to their headquarters, and if the phone was damaged, then she would be responsible for the damages. WTF? In contract law, a warranty has various meanings but generally means a guarantee or promise which provides assurance by one party to the other party that specific facts or conditions are true or will happen. This factual guarantee may be enforced regardless of materiality which allows for a legal remedy if that promise is not true or followed. So why is my friend being held accountable? I got another salesperson over and explained that my friend was NOT going to give any credit card information out over the phone when a warranty for the phone was in place! I asked the salesperson to go on the phone as an AT&T employee and verify that the phone was not damaged. They did not. I asked why the store does not sell replacement phones, and I was told that they only conduct sales...again, WTF? Finally I demanded that they test the battery, and when the salesperson took a battery out of a display phone and plugged it into my friend's phone, IT WORKED! 7 salespeople chatting in a store could not figure out what I suspected all along? Is it any wonder why our country is losing it's jobs and reputation? So, I ask the salesperson about replacing the battery, and they told me to go to a Batteries Plus down the road and buy one! AGAIN, WTF? Hello...warranty? So now I get the manager and I am very upset. The manager orders a new battery free of charge, but now it is going to take days to get here. I ask why they do not keep replacement batteries on hand and they again state that they just sell phone plans. Yet all of the phones have fresh batteries in them and I am willing to bet that there are replacement batteries for those phones in the back! Before I left, I told the manager that while my friend may have an AT&T phone, that after what I witness at that store today, that I would NEVER purchase a phone, or any AT&T device from them...EVER! It is a shame that our society feels it necessary to be slaves to these people. As a consumer, we are the ones giving our hard earned dollars to the corporations. Once upon a time, if we did not like something, we voiced our disapproval, and salesman worked for our business. Went into the store an hour before closing. Wasn't greeted until about 10 min into our visit. We were advised he was in the middle of helping a customer and we would be next. There was only one person working, and we waited patiently assuming he would get to us soon. He never updated us. Not until 8:15pm, after we waited an hour and 15 minutes to be told he was having system issues 'they were now technically closed' and we should come back tomorrow. I was upset and told him he should have let us know sooner. His response was "you saw me working". Well, of course I did. But I made the mistake of assuming he was a professional who would keep us updated or at least be upfront that he was having issues and might not get to us that day. I don't have an issue with AT&T, but the customer service (or lack or service) I received here has me researching new carriers. read more

Horrible in-store experience. Received 1st bill with several unauthorized charges made. Employee badge was shown for employee discount. Bill received and discount was not reflected. Called customer service and was told we are responsible for all charges because we signed Service Agreement (we did not sign anything). Don't go here. Waited to deal with someone for a phone upgrade (which I qualified for) and was told I didn't, then she just shrugged her shoulders. She then encouraged me to just make the purchase online. A total waste of my time and dealing with a not very bright employee pretty much turned me off to Att. Walked down the hall to the Verizon store where they were much more knowledgeable and welcoming. My experience at this AT&T at the north shore mall was not good. It he person who helped me did not want to service me correctly because I wasn't purchasing another phone thru them. The sales person raised his voice to me and I was quite embarrassed from that. Everyone was listening to our conversation. Bad experience. I had an upgrade on my phone and knowing very well it was the busy holiday season I figured I would call the store to see if they even had the iPhone 6 in stock. I called several times, no answer. So i figured whatever and went to the store anyways. I was greeted with friendly employees and sat down with a friendly young man. Of course they had no iphones, so I said I would order one online. The employee had explained that I had to physically have the phone in my hand to make the upgrade which was fine. He told me to call every day between 2-4 to see if they had a shipment come in. I expressed my concerns saying that no one answers the phone and it there was a better number to call. He came back with business card in hand and told me to text his cell every day between 3-4 to inquire whether or not they got a shipping. He said even if he's not working he would call the store after I texted to check for me. I was blown out of the water and thought he was super nice for offering that. Less than one star. I will never go to this at&t store again. The store manager, Kim, was not only unhelpful but blatantly unaccommodating. I went to the store for an upgrade on the only night of the week I could go, after canceling my commitments solely in order to upgrade my phone. Upon arriving the Store Manager, Kim, took my name and number as is customary and informed me, rather rudely, that there was a long wait ahead of me. I asked if I would be helped tonight even if the store closed officially before my turn, I was told yes. I then asked that if I went next door to browse while waiting the expected 45 minutes, would they call me (pointing to my phone), again I was told yes. When the mall began to close, I had not gotten a phone call so I returned to the store. As I approached the door the store manager locked the store and refused me access. I informed her I was on the list and she responded "You're name was already called". We clarified the point that she mean aloud, in the store, and not over the phone. And thus, I will never shop at this store again and I would go out of my way to use it's services. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

This review is just to mention the awesome customer service I received at this store this past weekend. I decided to purchase an iPhone and stopped in here to pick one up. I was greeted immediately upon entry with a smile by a staff member and was asked to sign in. Not sure if they do this at all AT&T stores, but I love that they have customers here sign in to ensure people get waited on in the order of arrival. When it's left up to an honor system among customers, someone always gets shafted by someone who thinks their time is more valuable and "unknowingly" cuts in line. Anyways, I was very quickly handed over to Chris who knowledgeably guided me through the differences between the various models of iPhones and the rate plans. He helped me put together a rate plan I found affordable, including finding a corporate discount I had no idea I was eligible for! Well, after all of this, as I was ready to throw down the credit card, it was discovered that the model I had decided on was not in stock. Chris took my name and number and offered to call me when their delivery came in later that day. I received a call, and even though it was bad news that none of my desired model had come in with the day's delivery, I was very pleased with his follow through. I mean, it's not like these things stay on the shelf very long once they arrive, so my sale wasn't exactly going to make or break their week's goals. Seeking instant gratification I tracked one of the phones down at a store within reasonable distance, so I ended up purchasing there, but I felt the experience at this store with this salesperson was worth mentioning. read more

I'll preface by saying my phone is my lifeline, no landline, no fax, no cellphone no real time connection with the rest of the world. So when my iphone fried i was desperate and needed replacement pronto. Tried these guys thinking "what the heck, go with the local business guys" not a good move. Take you're $$ elsewhere (preferably to NH to avoid the sting of the new MA sales tax that you'll pay)!! Discounted phones (example: iphone 4S with 2 year plan) are taxed @ FULL PRICE! So to be fair I was looking to get in and out quickly and was not being as savvy a consumer as i should have been. They will push their crappiest/overpriced accessories, know this beforehand. Ask about the new sales tax, they won't mention it so check you're receipt. They will try to sell you "buy 3 accessories get one free" skip it, lousy deal. And don't go back to this store looking for satisfaction or to return anything you will get the run-around and this seems to be their patented maneuver check it out. When they get you're $$ they are done with you! You will get the big fake smile then the big fake handshake THEN as they shake you're hand they very deliberately begin to guide you out of their store. "See you later SUCKER!" I will never go there again! They check you in at the door. There were 5 people ahead of us. We waited 20 minutes and nobody moved ahead. They sit at tables socializing and laughing. Talking about personal experiences while others are waiting. When I asked the man checking people in if we could just purchase a phone at the register, he became defensive and lectured me that I could not cut in front of others waiting. I just wanted to buy something. I didn't have and hour to wait. Who does? He then lectured me in a rude tone about the sales process. I understand sales you pig! But I hope when you are standing in line at the bank waiting to cash your check im in the middle of a "sale " while showing my kids pictures on my phone to my customer. Maybe Exchange Some recipes, parenting tips, golf stories. I hope you won't be in a hurry! What an idiotic process and sales plan!! We left and went to an authorized dealer rt 114 in danvers and were helped immediately. When others walked in the were acknowledged by the sales people and assured they would be helped shortly.
