Visit Date: July 25, 2020 So my son kept playing with my phone, I kept having to leave it at my sister's house or my house and be without a phone. I should have been a more strict mom but I am not. So I left google's phone plan and earlier in the week signed up online through AT&T. Now my son has my old phone and I have a phone to myself again. Anyway this was my second AT&T store visit. At this store they helped change my phone plan from a plan on my own to joining a family plan with my sister. We dealt with Patritcia or Tricia she was really helpful, very nice and patient with us. We also had another guy but I don't know his name step in and help us. He helped me find a phone case because I was being a little bit of a Karen and not sure what phone case I needed for my phone. I wasn't being a nasty Karen just a clueless Karen. They also let my son do running jumps onto they're couch. I don't know how the other reviews are so negative I had a good experience at this store and my family did as well. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. These guys made me wait forever, spent time talking on the cell phones, and have absolutely no idea what they are doing or they are just pushing cell phone purchases. Never, ever, go there. I went in there for them to HELP me solve a basic issue. They told me I needed to buy a new cell phone. There was no solving it. I waited an hour to be told this. I asked, could it just be a problem with the SIM card? Nope. It was the antenna in my phone. Nothing to be done. I went home, took out the SIM card myself and put it back in -- and miraculously my phone WORKS!!! I called them back from my "broken" phone to let them know. Their response. "Oh. Ok. Oh Ok." No apologies. No concern in the world. Lazy people who don't know technical solutions and don't even try. read more

Went in and ordered a phone, only problem was the store employee never actually put the order in... I called a couple times and they told me it was on backorder. I finally called the 800 number and they confirmed what I already figured... there was no order ever placed. Giant waste of time. Stupid read more

I had just upgraded my iPhone and dealt with a girl named Jessica from the AT&T store in MERRICK NY. I told her I do not want anything changed to my line, just a new phone. She asked me if I was a nurse because I was in my scrubs and told me I am eligible for a 25 % discount. I left the store only to find out she added an additional line to my account and also added a insurance package with out my permission. I was on the phone with corporate for an hour having to fix the issue that I did not create. I was charged over 100 dollars more to my bill because of her lack of disclosure. Stay far away from Jessica if you have to go to this location. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I WOULD NOT GO BACK IF YOU PAID ME. STAY AWAY. I was a customer for 12 years! I've never had a problem. Never had a problem because I've never purchased a defective phone. But if you buy a defective phone and notice 1 hour later. Bless your soul. Because they will not take care of you. If there is a defect they will not waive the restocking fee like promised. Worse yet the manager laughed and rolled his eyes at me when I went back. Was in the store for five hours for some thing that should've been very simple. The manager Anthony multitasked the entire time, gave us all the wrong information, registered the phones all incorrectly. The next day when we called we had to spend another four hours on the phone fixing all of his mistakes of which he took no accountability for. If you can stay far far far away from the store they are awful go to a different one. read more

Couple of weeks ago was in this store for new phone. The worst service at all time. Only two customers in and all five staff talking loudly with each other, texting on their personal phones and no attention whatsoever. I asked to see a working iPhone and the response; they are the same. Will not even bother to move and charge the phones. They are rude and with attitude. Weekend and after 2 PM ordering lunch was more important. Big discussion on what to get, Chili or McDonald's. Store was not clean and going out of business feeling. Products missing on shelves and few left not properly displayed, not charged or functional. This store always has been not good in customer service with hiding promotions and try to lead or push customers with not needed charges. Not trying at all to promote products is very bad for customers and AT&T. At the end their job is to show products because everything else can be done online. read more

Nicole, the service technician at the AT&T store on Merrick Road in Merrick, was extremely helpful in setting up my replacement phone, going through all the specifics and walking me through the details. She previously helped get me set up with going through the phone insurance process. read more

Shady business waited over an hour to not be helped manger Greg cancelled my order twice would not help me or explain to me why but had time to flirt with another worker in the store before hiding in the back for 45 minutes. Wordy customer service of my life I hate to even give them one star. read more

Garbage customer service...I asked him to recommend a phone to me to replace the S5...he says anything in the store and walks away. At this time there's more employees than customers in the store....so no excuse for that. read more

The worst. They were supposed to give me a free upgrade as promised by AT&T. The phone wasn't in stock, they were supposed to contact me within a few days. I never heard from them and when I called, they claimed that they never got the upgraded phone in. On top of that, they claimed AT&T changed the free upgrade to a $50 phone! I hung up on the salesperson. This is a scam, avoid this store at all costs. read more

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. I dealt with both a sales representative and the store manager Lamar. I had to upgrade my wifes phone and the sale representative although very nice and easy to deal with promised to back up her photos using the iCloud, which apparently he was not suppose to offer as a service. The end result, my wife lost all her photos as they did not back up as they were supposed to, and the phone had already been wiped. I spoke to the store manager who promised to look into the incident and get back to me; however he never called me back. When I later spoke to him, he basically said it was my fault for allowing the sales representative to perform the back up. He then promised me store credit, which he never looked into, which required me to reach out to the store again. BE very careful when using this at&t sore, everyone who walks in is treated as a $ symbol. The employees do not appear to be properly trained nor do the managers. read more

The gentlemen who helped me by the phone was GREAT. I was surprised about how easy and helpful it was. However, when something went wrong. The lady who "helped" me made me feel like I was bothering her. She didn't go out of her way at all!!! to help me. All she said was that I had to go to Queens?! and i went there twice. I was on the phone for 40 minutes w/ att and I have a new phone and battery being mailed to me. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and shady business practices. When we switched to ATT Next, Rob the sales manager adds a MiFi device to the account saying it was free and would run off our existing data. In the next bill we get hit with line charges and activation fees and a mobile care pack for a new phone that we did not request. Customer service would only refund the care pack. We go back and the manager tells us all fees would be refunded. The next billing cycle, we were still not refunded partial month credit and activation fee for the mifi hotspot. We go back again and They have customers waiting outside in line with the door locked. No big deal. When it's our turn, Rob tells us he can only refund activation fees but not the partial month charge. He tells us it's because we used 2GB on the MiFi hotspot. Of course we did, you said we would only be charged data, nothing else. In the end we had enough and decided it wasn't worth arguing with the moron for $14. Don't go to this store and if you do make sure they break down charges of a plan because they will rip you off. They don't care about their customers and are just looking to make a quick commission. I hope AT&T's corporate office looks into the working of this store. read more
