Great Company, but the service appears to be dysfunctional. I have been without a Refrigerator for a month while different people come and go. No storing food in my refrigerator for me for a month so far. I placed a service call on Dec 20th, I had to wait for the first person to come in and they only ordered parts. I then have to wait for a text from them to tell me they got the parts then I have to call them back again to schedule and then wait for someone else to install the parts. The person installs the parts and the fridge stopped working again. So I have to call again and place another service call and wait for someone else to come back. The Service Rep. Comes in with nothing just like the first person and has to order parts again. Now I have to wait for them to call and tell me when the parts arrive Just so I can call and schedule and then wait for another person to come in to install the parts. I feel like It's Groundhog Day. 1 month of all this and I'm still at square one with no refrigerator and waiting for parts. Meanwhile what do you do without a refrigerator for a month? I'm sure the CEO of P.C. Richard has lovely working Refrigerators and when they break They don't have to wait a month. read more

If you need any type of appliances or electronics, you should go to the PC Richards at Elmont, NY on Linden Blvd. Just ask for ROY. He is really nice and actually very willing to PRICE MATCH and work with you on the prices you see in the circulars and online. We needed an AC and visited our neighborhood PC Richards in New Hyde Park. (I always feel a bit intimidated whenever I go into this type of stores. The sales reps are always so intimidating or they just ignore you.) We showed the sales rep an online ad that we saw from BedBath&Beyond at a lower price bc PCRichards claim to price match. The man was so rude and dismissive from the moment we asked him for help and proceeded to tell us that if we wanted that price then go buy it there. Then we called four other locations, two also said they refused to price match, two locations agreed to a lower price and this location at ELMONT, NY on Linden Blvd gave me the better price- almost $100 less!!! I am not familiar with the neighborhood so was unsure at first but I'd be saving A LOT of $$!! So I took a risk and v happy that this is a safe and convenient location. A sales associate will bring your item to the car. ROY was knowledgeable and professional but most importantly he was very helpful and NICE!! Had a horrible experience when my RCA male to male cable broke in the headphone jack in my iPhone. I bought it at PC Richard two weeks ago and it was already broken. I went into the store slightly irritated and spoke to the manager Branny. Right away he assured me not to worry we will figure this out. After explaining my problem he was gentle and understanding. He could fix my iPhone but he gave me enough info to research further. I managed to get it out after a few google searches. I called back and asked for him and told him that I was able to get the broken jack out and he said bring the old one in and we will replace it free of charge. This guy is a class act and was humble in my experience. I have been living in this town since 1988 and have been going to this PC Richard since and was very happy to have had such a warm experience. This is such a horrible experience had with this location. They DO NOT follow COVID guidelines AT ALL. I ordered a device for CURBSIDE pickup and it strictly states on the instructions provided by the P.C. Richard site to wait until received confirmation order is ready to venture to store, CALL and then WAIT in car for a representative to come out and verify my purchase with my card and ID. I called, was told to come in store for product. I stated I ordered curbside because I was sick, I said THIS IS THE PURPOSE OF CURBSIDE, to avoid direct contact etc. She then spoke to her manager and he said I STILL HAVE TO COME INSIDE THE STORE! This is outrageous! And we wonder why a virus is being spread the way it is! They need new management at this store and there really is no CURBSIDE IN ACTUALITY and my item was a USB adapter nothing huge or anything to warrant this. read more

I just got the worst customer service experience with PC Richard & Son service department. I was gifted a brand new Samsung television for Christmas. The television was turned on Christmas Day. Everything was great until end of January when all of a sudden the TV wouldn't turn on. I tried everything. I used the TV remote, the cable box remote, and found the button on the TV and tried that. they sent out a service person to do a diagnostic and he determined that the televisions computer and screen were bad and needed to be replaced. I asked him why wouldn't I get a new TV since it's so new. He stated over 30 days so doesn't qualify for replacement. I told him it was 35 days. that's ridiculous. I've been a client for over 30 years. have purchased all items from then and always received superior customer service except now. I have their credit card and I will no longer purchase any items from them again. I will go to their competitors (Bestbuy) and others to purchase items. Ridiculous how they would treat a long time client like this on a 5 day difference to get a replacement. Be very careful when purchasing items there because it appears they don't care about their clients. Came in almost 2 months ago looking for a specific model for a through the wall air conditioner. The guy, I didn't catch his name but he didn't have much hair, started asking us a ton of questions...even after giving him the model number we wanted to purchase. Our room size, our power voltage..etc etc...it's not that difficult to figure out how many BTUs one needs. I did my research, we knew which model we wanted. We've purchased a couple of window ACs in the past and threw them all away before we moved to a new house. The developers already put holes through our walls, so we wanted to get new ones. Through the walls cost 3-4x more than window ones. Anyway I asked the guy which brand was better... Frigidaire or Friedrich. It's more like a trick question. He said definitely Friedrich and was quick to point us to a $729 Wallmaster. Granted the Wallmasters are better than the Unifit, but seriously I was looking to buy a Frigidaire that had great reviews. Also Wallmasters are massive. The one we chose would still come out to $600 after tax... We asked about their return policy and he stated there was none. At this point, we simply said we'd get it somewhere else. We drove to a different PC Richards and left with the AC I wanted within minutes. Go to the one located at New Hyde Park for honest customer service. They don't BS around. Seriously this guy just lost a customer cuz he wanted to sell us an exp AC that I did not ask for and told us we couldn't return it...unless it was defective. Of course I'd only return it if it had issues! Have you ever tried to repackage an AC? We will never buy anything from this location since the same guy also tried to sell L's sister an expensive AC...Can't believe how some people think every customer is gullible enough to buy whatever a store employee recommends. Friedrich is not better than Frigidaire. It's priced higher but doesn't perform any better. A lot of them have horrible ratings. The model I chose has been working quite well, it's energy efficient. We'll prob get another one next year for our office, but we will definitely buy from a different store. Can't believe this salesperson couldn't be honest and actually lost thousands in sales since we eventually will need 2-3 additional ACs for all the rooms on my floor and other appliances in the future. read more

We purchased a washer and dryer approx. 2-3 months ago. The dryer malfunctioned and a service guy came only to tell us that they needed to order new parts. We have been waiting for over what is now going to two weeks and after multiple calls, I still don't have a dryer. Now I have been forced to go to the laundromat!!!! If I had known this was going to happen, I would have gone elsewhere. This location sucks. Had a fridge delivered 3 separate times because they did not have enough people to bring it up the stairs. And each time after we are told they will send extra hands. When they actually deliver the fridge for the third and final time, it's the same nonsense. This time, they left it in the drive way. Meanwhile this a house of all women and left it for us to take upstairs in the rain. If PC Richard cannot deliver then they should inform their clients prior to purchase. Asked one employee for help, he said he was with a client but after I walked away, he was sitting in a high chair on his phone texting away and carrying on a conversation. Asked another worker and she gave me attitude when I asked about a few appliances that she didn't know the answer. So I waited for the other guy and Literally stood around for 30 minutes waiting before I decided to walk out. Of course as I started to walk out and he saw me walking out he came up to me to to ask how he could assist and I continued to walk out the store. Will never return to this one. This store has always been a go to for electronics in my family for years. We always get the best price and have built relationships with several of the sales people there. Its good to be able to go to a friendly or familiar face to get all of your questions or concerns happen. On this particular day I came into this location looking for wireless headphones for a Christmas present. I thought I wanted to get Beats wireless headphones but when talking to the salesperson he suggested Bose because they are they best in quality and they happen to be cheaper than then Beats I originally came in for. The sales person also informed me that if I were to find them at any store for a cheaper price I can always call the store for a guarantee price match. I needed an automatic starter. I originally made my appointment for installation at a different location, with the snow storm I had to reschedule but the next appointment wasn't for a month and half away. That's when I started looking for new locations and I found this one and spoke with Felix ( I think that was his name) he was very nice and professional over the phone. He was able to schedule me for appointment that fit for me a few weeks away. He called me during the week to let me know he had earlier opening to fit me in but unfortunately it didn't work for my schedule. Finally the day of my appointment I meet him he had such professionalism and explained to me about the whole process and made me feel comfortable,He told me it would take 3 hours. I had to wait at the store being 8 months pregnant he made sure I was taking well care of. And installed it way less then 3 hours. I was in and out. And I love my starter. He knows his stuff and I would def go back to him to get any other installation I might need in the near future. read more

I bought a TV a year ago and now the TV is damaged. When I bought the TV the sales Rep (Donald) told me that I should get the 5 yr warrenty because if ANYTHING happens (even if it falls off the stand) it's covered... Now I am telling them that it is not working right, and they are telling me it's not covered. I have spoken to three people and they sound like robots with the same sentence over and over. I am so fustrated with the company, I have to keep paying my bill for a TV that does NOT work. Their motto is Richard is Reliable doesn't mean anything. My advice to who ever goes to P.C. Spent appx. $1,000.00 on an appliance and weeks later, they still haven't delivered it in spite of two promised delivery dates. They didn't even have any samples on the floor so we could've just looked online for what was offered. With both social media these days and the competition from Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's and other stores, this company should go out of their way to keep their customers happy and pray they return. Horrible experience at this location. We previously had a credit card for HH Gregg before they went out of business and were told that we could use the new credit card (Synchrony Bank)at the PC Richards location. When speaking to the manager about using the card to make a purchase he did not want to listen to what we had to say nor the customer service representative from Synchrony Bank. He basically brushed us off, told us to close that account and open up another one with the PC Richards logo on it, and he walked away. New York is known for poor customer service and this particular manager proved the stereotype to be correct. read more
