    I went to the optimum store to return my equipment and cancel my account with optimum after having…read morebilling and connection issues that after three hours of discussions with tech support was not resolved. Once the customer representative at the optimum store got off his personal phone he was able to accept my equipment but was unable to cancel my service. He did give me a phone number to call. After being on hold for over an hour, I was connected with a representative. When I attempted to cancel my Optimum service with this representative, the experience was unnecessarily stressful due to this overly aggressive individual. While I understand that retaining customers is part of their job, the level of pressure I faced was unacceptable. The representative repeatedly ignored my clear request to cancel and instead tried to convince me to stay with multiple sales pitches. Despite me stating multiple times that I had made up my mind, they continued to push, making the interaction feel more like a hard sell than a customer service call. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a drawn-out conversation filled with frustration. At one point, I had to ask repeatedly just to move forward with my cancellation. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also makes me less likely to consider Optimum in the future should I need service again. Companies should respect customers' decisions and streamline their cancellation process instead of resorting to aggressive tactics. I hope Optimum addresses this issue to improve the experience for other customers.

    You can't go by what the rep tells you in the store…read more They advertise unlimited talk, text and data and the rep in the store who works on commission, tells you yes it's totally unlimited. Then you call there costumer service department only to find out, there is a limit on data 20 gigs , that it's not unlimited. It's all about signing up as many new costumers as possible regardless of the deception.

When I came in for my appointment, I was paired with Mark S., and his customer service was truly exceptional. He was patient, informative, and genuinely invested in helping me find the best option. Not only did he secure a deal that beat all major competitors, but he also took the time to explain everything thoroughly and clearly. Although I haven't committed to services yet, I felt compelled to share my experience because it exceeded my expectations. I went to this location 5070…read moreSunrise Hwy in massapequa. to resolve an issue with my phone being on SOS due to SIM card issue and the gentleman that helped me paid more attention to his cellphone than to the issue I was having. i had to repeat multiple times what my issue was He had me dial my phone number and follow steps to connect to a customer service using the stores phone and be walked away into the back room. there must have been a connection issue with Verizon line because the system continued to ask me to enter my phone number over and over again until if finally disconnected. I had to ask some one else to call the guy that was helping me from the. ack room. when he came out i told him what happened and after a few attempts to get me connected to a rep he finally was able to do so. I asked him to stay around because I would most likely need him again but he was still paying more attention to his text messages and walked away...surely enough the customer representative on the phone asked me questions that I wasn't able to answer and asked me to remove the SIM card something I could not do because I had nothing small enough to help me get it out. By this time I asked for someone else to help me because the person that was supposed to be helping me was in the back room hiding and probably still texting. I had a very disappointing experience at this location, there was no care for customer service. I would give zero stars if I could.
