Always have excellent service at this location. All the staff members are friendly and patient. They are all very well trained and explain everything in details you never feel pressured. Sara T is the best I've been working with her for years and she always has a smile on her face. Yes there are better deals with their competitors however you will NOT receive the customer service ... Never experienced such horrible customer service. My family and I went to trade in our phones at this store and get upgraded, but they were not able to keep my original phone number for some reason so they tried to give me a new one but made a big mess out of it and now we've been on endless phone calls with AT&T's customer service for the last 4 months. No help at all. They also made promises that they didn't end up keeping or scamming us over. The employees at this store need to be fired or trained hard core. Left my family and I very frustrated. I came by to get my new phone connected. They acknowledged me right away and said it would be a few minutes (they were pretty busy). I had a seat, and they got to me within 10 minutes (there were a couple folks before me and all the associates were helping customers). The took the New phone (factory refurb that I bought from an online dealer - Galaxy S7) and had me up and running, and all signed up quickly. My only issues. They have not good seating If you're waiting. Just these square things with no back, almost like a cheap ottoman. Also, the are always trying to upsell and push accessories. Two or three people tried to get me to upgrade my Direct Now account. If not for the hard sell, I would have rated higher. read more

On this visit, I had to wait 5 minutes before being helped at the door even though they were dead. Finally a gentleman who was talking on his hands free device said he could help me. I was looking to upgrade my 3rd line, he continued to talk on his phone while asking me the same questions repeatedly, because he wasn't listening for the answer. I also told him several times I need a home phone charger..he could tell I was upset, so his reaction was to do the same... I said well if you got off your ear piece and gave me your full attention I wouldn't have to be so rude from having to repeat everything I told you 3 times....then he got mad and startied yelling like he was gonna fight me! HORRIBLE WAIT TIME Not only that, I am traumatized by this staff of this store. I remember a year ago I came into this store and I did an upgrade on my phone on a family plan. Everything was all set to go and I left the store. Couple hours later, I discovered that my family member was having issues with their line and then I went back into the store and asked what was wrong ? The lady who did the processed of upgrading my phone ACCIDENTALLY upgrade my Phone on my family member contract plan... I asked her cant this be revised? And she said no.. It's a permanent change. Well, guess what? Now I have a family member whose locked into contract because of my upgrade. Horrible I came back couple years later which was two weeks ago and decided to give it another chance, still horrible staff and service. I waited for a good twenty minutes and then I finally told the sales associate okay I'm leaving the wait time is ridiculous Overall, I'm not coming back to this ATT store. If i could give less than one star I would. Ordered a mobile hotspot online in the morning and went to pick it up this evening. An hour wait to pick it up because there are only two salespeople and one person that can only greet people at the door and put you in line. I have never been so disgusted by one single company in my entire life. Andre and whatever the female managers name is, are the most incompetent and distasteful group I have ever encountered. They can't find a trade in, that I literally have an email for. So while I'm almost in tears on the phone with customer service (they made me call, not them), Andre is sitting there staring at me. Then as I'm starting to get upset, he gets up and walks away. (At this point no one in this store is offering me any help). When I ask for the manager, he gives me attitude and typical response, she was unavailable at the moment. First off it blew my mind that I was the only customer in the store while I was getting helped. It's surprising because I had great services in the store. As soon as I walked in I was being helped. The employee helped me with my email problem and got my phone up and working. I think his name was Kris (Keep up the good work). He was also able to save me money on my bill because of a discount I get with my employer. The manager (Greg) was helpful to, he came over and made sure everything was good and helped the employee with my email problem. The manager was very friendly and knowledgeable about the tech issues I was having. They did go over a lot of different options for my home and it was a lot to take in at once, BUT they did an awesome job of taking care of me. I walked in because I could receive emails and my internet wasn't working, and I left with a working phone and different options for me to save money on my other services. When I'm ready switch all my services over to AT&T I will visit this store and work with Kris and Greg again. Keep up the great service. read more

We scheduled FOUR appointments, STOPPED OUR OWN LIVES TO WAIT FOR THEM and got no phone calls, no show, no info whatsoever and still got billed for service they did not provide or communicate. Sure, I had a slide phone, but the girl did not want to make me get a new phone there. I spent 45 minutes with her and left without a phone. I went to the AT&T store in Madison Heights, Michigan located on John R. Rd on Saturday, November 27, 2011. While I was in the store, I was completely ignored for approximately 5 minutes while 3 of 4 employees stood around looking bored. While becoming increasingly irritated, a woman appearing to be in her 40s, tripped over the rug in front of the door and fell. All four men silently looked at the woman with disdain as she lay in pain on the floor of the store. Not one of the employees made a move to help this woman nor did any of them ask if she were okay. I am disgusted by this show of disrespect as well as indifferent inaction by the men in this store. When I asked one of the poor-excuse-for-a-man employees why neither he nor his peers attempted to help that lady, he pretended as if he had not seen what happened even though I witnessed his apathetic response toward the woman falling. As a woman, I have no tolerance for weak men and will not patronize a company that encourages an environment not conducive to good service or even common human decency. read more

The store ran better when Shaun was running it. We followed him to the new location in Roseville even though it was out of our way but his customer service was amazing and worth the drive. Since he left the company we decided to go back to the Madison Heights location - HORRIBLE. The Asian manager (for description purposes) couldn't do a simple transfer and then responded with a rude attitude when I said something about it. AT&T definitely needs to train staff on customer service and apparently product knowledge and procedures. read more

Customer service is awful. I purchased a iPhone cord a week ago and they said I did not need to keep my receipt because my information on there computer. Guess what my cord broke in two days. I went to return the cord and they did not have any of the information saved on there computer. I did not have my receipt but I did have the purchase number on my credit card, that wouldn't work for them either. They blamed me for not keeping my receipt and made me feel like it was all my fault. read more

Absolutely terrible service and extremely rude salesperson (Kyle F). Like other reviews have stated, they have a greeter that can can check you in and do absolutely nothing else. The 3 other staff members on the floor can only do sales and take an extremely long time to do the most simple transactions. Kyle damaged my old iphone, damaged my new iphone box, took all my plastic off MY new iphone and dirtied it, then tried to offer me some very cheap merchandise if I wanted to trade him my old iphone that he just damaged. He seemed very arrogant and that because he 'works' for at&t he knows more than you ever will. Was charged an EXTRA $30 'upgrade fee' after paying off the entirety of the old phone and the sales tax of the new one. I asked him why I had to pay to literally spend more money and he could not give me an answer. First of all, if there are any 4 or 5 star ratings, don't believe them. They were probably done by a worker on break or something. Secondly, I didn't start having trouble with this specific store until a few years ago when the 2 good people that I used to deal with all the time left. Ever since they have been gone, the service has been crappy. Sorry this review is so long! So my story is, I went to the store yesterday to purchase a new iPhone and iPad. I know they have long wait times because of the new iPhones that came out, so I expected to wait 30+ minutes. I was called over by a woman and we went to sit down at a table to chat about what I came in for. Right off the bat she tried to sell me their home security system. I'm sure it's something that they HAVE to tell customers, but right when we sit down?? That's not why I came in and waited 30+ minutes. Next, I talked to her about my Uverse bill being out of promotion and that my bill sky rocketed, and I wondered if she could do anything...(in the past when this has happened, I've gone in and a representative has been able to fix it and give me a new promotion). This time, the lady said to just call a phone number and they might help me, that she isn't able to do anything. Ok...that's fine. So moving on to my phone upgrade...I knew there was a promotion going on with iPhone 6/6+ and iPads. They were giving $200 for trading in your iPhone and iPads were $200 off when you upgrade your phone. The $200 I would've got for my iPhone trade in was supposed to be used towards my bill, accessories, or whatever else in the store. Well, when I asked the lady about what the $200 can be used for, she said, "It can only be used on accessories." I argued with it saying that's not what I was told and explained what I had been told. She said no, that wasn't the promotion and told me again that it was only for accessories. So then I was thinking, $200 for ONLY accessories?? I know I could easily spend that, but who needs $200 for only accessories?? So we went back and forth for a few seconds about what I heard and the promotion she was told by her manager. So, I asked to speak to him about it. She said, "My manager is going to tell you the same thing I am telling you." And she didn't get him. At that point, I got up and said that I was done and was not going to be getting a phone. What did I do next?? I went to another ATT store right after and purchased an iPhone AND iPad because they had the promotion that I was talking about!! When I told them about the service I had at the other place, they were not surprised and was glad I told them about it. I was glad to give my service to this other ATT place (on Woodward in Royal Oak) because they were SUPER friendly and the representative I worked with was awesome!! This is not the first time I've had crappy service at this place, but it will be the last because I won't be going back there!!!! read more

Buyer BEWARE, while they seemed very friendly and helpful originally, watch out! Told us if we werent satisfied there was a 30 day exchange policy, my wife didnt care for her choice so the next day tried to take back and exchange, they told us they were out of the one she wanted but to check back because they got them in every couple days. We tried calling and stopping by on 5 different occasions, every time they said they didnt t have them. Was really suspicious because when we stopped by they would always ask if we where upgrading or new customer, when we told them that we just wanted to exchange they would say they had to go in back and check,always coming back saying they were out. Finally got a hold of AT&T customer service and guess what? They told us to go to store and pick one up. Quite obvious they are only interested in signing you up or renewing your contract not customer service, second time I renewed at this location and the last time! Will go couple doors down to best buy get same renewal, no headache when you need to return. read more
