Very unprofessional and unhelpful staff. Quoted my parents plans that were not real when they went back in to make to the plan asked us to call the 1-800 and laughed and berated us. AT&T Refuses to Rectify Their Mistake In November 2021, I came into the AT&T store to purchase an iPhone 13 as part of a "free" iPhone 13 promotion with eligible trade-in. I traded in my iPhone XR and was given what I thought was an iPhone 13. The sales representative gave me an iPhone 12 by mistake. I did not know that this was the case until a month later, December 2021, that I received my phone bill with a $25 charge for the phone. I went into the store to asked why I was being charged for the phone as it was supposed to be "free." They told me they gave me the wrong phone and exchanged the iPhone 12 for the iPhone 13 and assured me that I would receive the credit for the $25 that was charged and that I would receive $25 credits for the phone each month so that I owe "$0" for the phone itself each month. Fast forward to December 2023, I am still paying $25 each month for the supposedly "free" phone. When I spoke to AT&T Loyalty, they told me that although the AT&T store made a mistake, because it was over 14 days between the exchange of the iPhone 12 (the phone the sales rep gave me) and the iPhone 13 (the correct phone I believed to have purchased), they would not be able to credit my account for the $600 I've spent and remove future charges. This was not my fault and I am being financially penalized for the mistakes of a sales representative at an AT&T store. AT&T Loyalty has out-right refused to rectify this situation by crediting my account for the payments I have made and remove future charges. read more

I went home and ended up calling ATT and they gave me exactly what I needed to do to activate an older S series phone without all the costs the guy at ATT said it would be. I would HIGHLY suggest you NOT switch to AT&T! I had Comcast forever for Internet and TV, however I had AT&T for cell phone. Comcast kept raising my rates so I decided about six months ago to lump everything together with AT&T. It has been a horrendous experience and I cannot wait until my two year contract is up! The installation was quoted as taking 2 to 4 hours, it took 12! I work for myself outside of the home, so lost money because I had to stay home. I have gone through two different routers because the equipment is faulty. The billing has been absolutely horrendous; it is a constant struggle. I have been to the Darien Att store on sooooo many occasions - leaving frustrated after repeatedly hearing empty promises. The technical support is fine as long as you don't need to talk to an actual person! The TV service is Internet based, so when there is bad weather, there are issues! The Internet speed is not any better than what I had with Comcast, so as you can see I would highly suggest you stay with Comcast! I could go on, but I think you get the picture!! read more

2 stars because the employees seemed to be very helpful in my situation. I do not know what is going on behind the scenes, but they were helpful on the surface- nonetheless- PROCEED WITH CAUTION. This is a very long story, but a very important read. I visited this location to upgrade to the iPhone XS Max, as it had been out of stock in all locations near me, and I was in town on business. I received the last one they had in stock, which was exactly the one that I wanted- a gold 256gb. I got it, they transferred my sim and it worked for a couple of hours. Then the service was suspended. I called AT&T. Turns out that the "Brand new iphone xs max" that I was sold in this corporate AT&T store, was BLACKLISTED and had been a stolen phone. I was told that there was no way this phone was ever coming off the blacklist as it had a legitimate case out there for being stolen. AT&T Protech support instructed me to return it and them to accept it D.O.A., which they did, and I got another one (I guess they had gotten a shipment that morning of more). Now I'm on new phone #2 and it works great for a few hours. The the service suspended and I called AT&T. Turns out that the 2ND "Brand new iphone xs max" that I was sold in this corporate AT&T store, was BLACKLISTED. Now this phone is legitimately brand new. I took it out of the packaging myself, a mistake I made by not doing with the first one. Good news was, ProTech could get this one off the blacklist, and they did. Now it works great. Nonetheless, this is a sketchy AT&T and I will not return. read more

Boooo AT&T *makes crude raspberry noise* My family and I are passionate Android users that have been coming to this store for several years now. Experiences have been generally pleasant, until recently. First off, I came in one afternoon to scope out the Nexus 6 - Google's flagship smartphone - to feel, touch, and make a decision as to whether or not an upgrade would be worth my time and money. They didn't have the phone in store, as it was exclusively online. Doesn't do me much good then, now does it? I wound up having to go to a T-Mobile store to experience the Nexus 6 in person. Okay, so I can't play with my desired phone here, maybe the sales rep can give me some basic pricing figures or at the very least provide me with some trade-in information. She couldn't do either, because they require everything short of a blood serum sample of the main account holder "for security verification purposes". I could provide full name, phone number, home address, even the last 4 of the account holder's SSN, and still no dice. While not her fault, my trip here was utterly worthless and a total waste of time. According to my dad--the ever-savvy businessman that he is--on a separate visit the floor sales rep tried to baffle he and my mom with doubletalk and the like in the hopes of getting them on the 'AT&T Next' plan, which is essentially a lease agreement wherein the customer continually upgrades their phone without ever paying it off completely. My dad saw straight through their bullsh*t and left not long thereafter. Seriously considering a switch to that phone company with the hot biker chick spokesbabe. 'Rethink possible'? ZERO stars if I could! Avoid this AT&T store at all costs! If you're looking for knowledgeable helpful salespeople, this is NOT the place. This place is run by hipsters who don't seem to know much of anything about customer service or sales. Walked in on a weekday evening. Only one other customer in the store. 4 hipster employees sat around a table in the front not doing much of anything, just having a casual chat. I'm not using the word "helped" here because there was no "help" of any kind. Greeted by hipster Helen with her pink hair & cat ears headband. (Lose the headband Helen, you're in a place of business. At least that's what the store should be.) Looking to upgrade our phones. Helen scrolled aimlessly on her tablet "finding" us the best deal. One of your employees young African-American male heavyset took care of me he didn't have name tags. As he assisted my husband and my self, I handed my phone and drivers license through the hole in the plexiglass .I needed a Sims card wanted the phone activated it was Saturday November 27. I told him that L'Oreal had an account with AT&T he took my phone and went in the back door to get me a Sims card and came back.I asked him can activated my phone he told me Monday went back to the back room and wrote down phone number 1 800.. I will send to you on a yellow sticky. He handed me the yellow sticky the Sims card. Never returned my new I phone. I did not realize it because he handed everything through this little hole in the plexiglass. I left the store and and I returned when I realized ,I did not have my phone.I asked him for my phone and he looked at me and lied and told me that he never took my phone.. I told him ,he did take my phone and touch it and brought it to the back room.I went to get my husband to come in. The manager and that associate that help me out went to the back room and came back with the phone in a bag. Manager said my husband and I that this is an extra phone and I can have it... my Husband Took the phone out of the bag and put in my code and told the manager this is my wife's phone. We witnessed the associate open the phone at the store. Phone works fine for 2 hours and then is no longer working. Phone is suspended. I call customer service and they say the phone is reported stolen as of 3 months ago. After multiple calls to customer service, I had to return to this useless store to demand they give me a new phone. They supposedly have no idea why something like that would happen....ok sure. They also never placed a note on my account for my promotional gift card. Everyone at this store is unethical....AT&T should investigate what seems to be fraudulent activity. read more

Well, I went there solely to trade my phone (iPhone 5s) in for my AT&T next plan, but I was told they can't take it. Does it power on? Yes. Does it have the battery? Yes. Is there anything wrong with it? No. I made the mistake of picking up a new phone from another retailer and apparently, their way of punishing consumers who do that is to make the process of returning the phone as arduous as possible. No, I can't return the phone here. I have to mail it in to AT&T, even though this is a corporate store, and I've never had an issue returning a phone before. It truly is a shame, because I've had nothing but good fortune with AT&T before, but this new policy, which I was told, became effective "like a month ago", is about as unfair and arduous to the consumer as possible. The sales staff at the store are very good / helpful. But the brand they work for should be avoided at ALL COSTS! I had Verizon for 14 years with no issues. I've had ATT for 3 months with multiple serious issues. First I bought 2 phones on a buy 1 get 1 free promotion. after 3 months I've stopped receiving the buy1 get 1 credit (my account is/ has been in good standing). The ATT corporate help line- WORTHLESS! Second,My online account- cant access my detailed bill. I'm paying with autopay for 3 months- cant access my billing statements thru my online profile- ATT corporate helpline- WORTHLESS. Third,I bundled my services to include DirecTV. They are mistakenly charging me for 4 TVs- I only have 3- ATT customer service- WORTHLESS, no help at all. 2 of my 3 issues are still outstanding after more than 2 months. I've spent at least 8-10 hours on the phone pulling my hair out. The buying experience at this store is pleasant but you're doomed the minute you walk out of that door. read more

I would give this AT&T 1-0 stars because I went in on a Wednesday evening and I asked if they can help me with my phone because it kept restarting itself and my phone wasn't letting me connect to WIFI, I walked in and this girl associate comes up to me and asks me what I need help with and I told her that my phone was restarting itself and she said who is my provider and I said Verizon. Now they said since Verizon is my provider they can't help me, I even asked if they can look at my phone just to try and see what is going on with it and she said no. Worst customer service ever. Worst place ever, I will be writing a letter to corporate as well, the manager here promised a great plan which I have been with them for years and for the past 4 months have received bills with unknown charges he put me on a 5 line plan with 4 phones. I'm paying for a 5th phone that I do not even have and have already made multiple installment payments on a phone that does not even exist! I am beyond disgusted and outraged at this company. I have been at this location multiple times and have gotten nothing resolved. My bill was suppose to be 200$ a month and it's over double the first month I got charged 580$ and now it's 400$. Besides the fact that's there's a 5th nonexistent phone it's still over 100$ a phone. I'll be filing a complaint and dealing with a regional or corporate manager. There are 6 ATT store guys helping 3 customers and 2 customers waiting before me. One customer before me left after 1 hour of waiting. Finally I got my chance after 1 hour 15 minutes. My questions were related to account transfer I recently made and my final bill. They could not answer my question, she said she heard issues similar to mine but doesn't know the answer. She looked in the ipad then moved to computer hoping it will give more information and made me wait for another 20 minutes. I left the store disappointed with ridicules service. read more

My fiancée and I went into this location last week to look at new phones for him. We were helped by Jeff. He was very patient, as we had a lot of questions about the phones and our plan in general. He was very knowledgeable and if he didn't know the answer to a question, he quickly looked it up. He told us about the promos that they had going on, such as a free tablet with a new phone. He didn't try to push it on us, just simply informed us of the deal, which I really appreciated. We ended up adding two smart watches to our plan, as well as the new phone. Jeff was extremely helpful in getting everything activated and up and running. I didn't have any interactions with any other sales reps, but they seemed like they were all very professional and knowledgeable. Went to the AT&T store on 75th at Lemont Rd yesterday, and the service was beyond our expectations. The salesman was low pressure, extremely knowledgeable about the phones and had great practical advice. He was able to offer advice and information re the phones beyond the phones' specs and reviews that we had read on the internet. This location is bigger, brighter, has a nicer layout and, in our experience, much better service than the location on Boughton rd. Will be going back and recommending this one to friends and family. read more
