This AT&T store is on Ridge Pike right next to the giant food store and sandwich between that store and also a Starbucks. It was relocated from the shopping center across the street sometime ago. The service is horrible. We waited almost 3 hours and got nothing but a song and dance meanwhile two other people stormed out of there because they were neglected. The woman there lied to us about having a special on a phone if you had a prepaid phone line with AT&T and tried to sell us on a which we had no interest in at all. Meantime, sitting in there without any air conditioning and also being neglected because there was only one sales clerk on duty. I will never go back there again, if you're going to do any business with AT&T, don't do it there they are being operated by a company called Prime communication and they are horrible and careless and have no respect for your time. I stopped at the Conshohocken Car-Tel (an at&t authorized retailer) awhile back to get a nifty new phone. As you'd expect, the store's interior is clean, and decked out in a typical mobile phone store way, with sample mobile phones, promotional materials, and mobile phone accessories about. Silvana helped me with my request, and walked me through the convoluted process[1] of getting a phone and initiating a new contract. She's patient (putting up with my questions), super-friendly, and even followed-up later on[2] to make sure everything was kosher. How's that for service? Find them in the Plymouth Square Shopping Center - with easy, ample parking - on Ridge Pike. If you get hungry while phone-shopping, there's a Subway nearby. I have no phone service due to an invalid SIM card, so stopped at the Norristown PA store for what I thought would be a quick purchase. I arrived at 3:45 pm and saw a hand-written sign on the door "on break. Be back in 45 minutes". I waited the full 45 minutes and was going to wait a bit longer, but another patron drove up and said they were closed for more than 45 minutes. She had tried earlier and then returned after some time. The store hours were modified from 10-8 to 11 am to 7 pm. There are at least 8 fast food places within 5 min drive from the store, so an employee should not require that long of a break. The customer volume isn't that high, so the entire shift is basically a long break. read more

Alyssa at this store was very helpful and solved my problem of getting my sim activated on my older phone because my newer phone screen was cracked. She even gave us options where we could get it fixed without upsells and further complications. I had been to another att store in upper darby and had a very bad experience. I chose to come to this particular AT&T store due to the consistently high reviews. With a phone in mind, plan pre-selected, current device prepared for transfer and cash ready, I arrived 20 minutes prior to close. Perhaps I should have been wary when I entered and wasn't greeted, but I noticed there was one salesperson and he was helping the father of a newborn who looked exasperated. Fast forward 2 hours and my patience has worn thin. While I commend the solo salesperson for singlehandedly trying to accommodate said parent while juggling two calls into headquarters support service, it's hard not to feel slighted about the complete disregard for my presence. While on hold with AT&T's help center, there was plenty of time to introduce himself to me, and ask how he could be of assistance. I would have explained my situation and offered to keep waiting, or come back at a later date. Unfortunately, due to the rediculous amount of time I have kindly waited, every local store is now closed. I thought I would save some time by coming here instead of driving to Delaware (no sales tax) and still I wait without so much as an apology or "I'll be right with you." Icing on the freaking cake? I waited 2 hours for the customer to place a pre-order for a device he won't be receiving for another month and could have ordered online like every other Apple fiend. Even better was his wife complaining about not being able to hit the liquor store afterwards due to the time. Cherry on the top?! Finally, after two full hours of wasted time I was acknowledged and informed in order to retain my phone number to switch plans, I would need to have the primary account holder call in. Had I been told when I arrived, I could have had the issue addressed hours ago and received my new device. Instead, I'm going home empty handed with my still defective current device. The staff are knowledgeable and thorough with all services. The store is clean, and never too crowded; someone is always available to help. The manager Ron Cannatella was very helpful. Even though I had to wait an hour to buy my new phone - I expected this because it's a small store and he was the only one working - he was patient, knowledgeable and made the process easy, despite issues I had with transferring my data. I was a little frustrated because I wasn't able to transfer my data in the store and hand my phone in that day as I had planned, but Ron promised to help me when I come back and I truly appreciate that. Customer service is very important to me and Ron did an amazing job. Thanks to Consultant Anthony and Manager Bob for providing me with a loaner phone battery prior to going out of town. I ordered a phone battery online the week before in plenty of time according to the website. However, the shipper sent it back to the origin for no apparent reason, so I was scrambling the day before travel. Many phone calls to my own and other carriers failed until Anthony at Car-Tel in Conshohocken announced that he might be able to find one. He called me back, just like he said he would with good news. I am not even a customer of this store and would have been in dire straits without his help. Later that day, Bob handed over a gently used battery with my promise to return it. I left nothing in return but my word. What a nice surprise to be helped and trusted. read more

So I got my new upgraded iPhone X's max in the mail yesterday. I used the att transfer app which I thought would make the transition that much easier. Not the case. Initially I was not hooked up to my carrier, after an hour on the phone with a representative, my phone calls and texted worked. Yeah! However after further use I found that the cellular data was not working. After several other phone calls an on line representative sent me to an att store. I went to the one in conshohocken pa. and could not have been more impressed with the two young men,Christopher and Frank who help me resolve my problems. It was complicated and time consuming. Wow. Anthony Durham is Amazing. I went in to get a set of headphones for a gift and I left with a new Galaxy and a Tablet and a updated plan. He also added my discount from my job at Suburban General Hospital. I'm moving in November and he talked me into getting Home Security even though I'm currently with Guardian for another year. This store has to have the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a place like this. I am still here after an hour and I've not been helped or even spoken to. There are 2 employees in the store and they have only gotten to one customer in the time I've been sitting here. It has taken more than a hour for one set of customers and at least 40 minutes with another. Safe to say do not come here if you don't have time to waste or there are no customers in the store. Yes, this store did Wow me! Bob Higgins was a huge help and provided excellent customer service. I stopped at this store unsure of which cell phone I wanted. Originally considered another Blackberry, but when Bob spent time going over the features of the new smart phone - Samsung Galaxy SII, he totally sold me on it. I got a great price and Bob also reviewed my AT&T bill to ensure all the phones on my account were being charged correctly and made the necessary adjustments to save me some money. He went above and beyond. If you are in the market for a new phone, there's no reason not to stop at this store. They not only sell you the phone at a great price but give you a tutorial on how to use it, and offer you to stop in any time for help with it. My daughter's birthday was on Thanksgiving so I purchased an iPhone 5s on my plan over a month ago from Anthony Durham. I didn't want to activate the phone until it was closer to her birthday. The night before Thanksgiving I turned the phone on to set it up and totally forgot it wasn't activated. I texted Anthony after 11 pm in hopes he could save me. On Thanksgiving morning Anthony went by the store to get a Sim card and came to my home to activate my daughter's phone. She was so excited.
